After having thoroughly enjoyed four days at The Sea Pebble in late December, we booked it again for March 16-30, and can say only that we appreciate it even more after our extended stay. The uncluttered simplicity, immaculate cleanliness, excellent design, esthetically pleasing and functional floor plan, and privacy became even more evident as the idyllic days passed by. The home is very conveniently located near a bike trail, and is a very pleasant 4 1/2 minute stroll through evergreens and a lovely meadow to reach the Bluff Trail and Pebble Beach. It is perfect for those wishing to be active, and for those who prefer more sedentary relaxation---or as in our case, both. Various family members stayed with us during the two weeks, and gave Sea Pebble the same high marks for design, spaciousness, privacy, view, deck (sheltered from the northwest wind by a beautiful stand of trees), and of course the outdoor hot tub. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry area are very well equipped, and with multiple skylights and west facing windows, the entire home is very light. We have been consistently impressed with the owners, who are very responsive in communication, eager to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, and are really nice folks. Though having left The Sea Pebble just yesterday, we are already viewing at the calendar to plan our next visit.

Wonderful house that has everything you need. Beautiful ocean views (even from the hot tub that was ready to go when we arrived). Loved everything about the house. In front of the house is a nice trail to Pebble Beach. The house had everything we needed and loved the beds and the showers and the heated floors in the bathrooms! Definitely will come back. Owners were great to work with also.

We had a great time together. The house is clean, quiet, and close to the beach. Our 3 kids enjoyed it a lot, and the hot tub was a huge hit with them as well. The kitchen is fully stocked, and has top of the line appliances. The views from the 2 queen rooms are beautiful. We would definitely consider coming back and recommending this to friends and family. Lori is very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions.

Perfect in every way.

We have had the pleasure of staying at many fine VRBO properties around the U.S., but found the Sea Pebble to be our favorite thus far. In fact, we were so pleased with our initial experience that we are arranging an additional two week stay with family and friends this coming March. The owner is extraordinarily prompt and helpful re inquiries, and the home was even better than the photos and descriptions suggest. First, the home was spotless, well-equipped, and the floor plan was ideal for our purposes. The architectural theme closely follows the original plan for The Sea Ranch, and a photo of a pre-Sea Ranch barn in the master bedroom illustrates the inspiration for this beautifully functional home. Comfortable, esthetically pleasing, emphatically NOT ostentatious (some houses in The Sea Ranch have strayed far from the original intent), and the type of place most of us would love to call home. It is at the end of the road, very quiet, and the outdoor hot tub is quite private with a good view of the ocean and the night sky. The magnificent Bluff Trail is just a few hundred feet away through a bucolic meadow, and has access to beaches, coves, interesting ocean-front architecture, and of course the always fascinating Pacific. In short, the Sea Pebble is a fine value. It offers comfort, convenience, up-scale hominess---all in a beautiful, natural setting. Highly recommended.

A Peaceful Retreat

What a treat to find Sea Pebble. We arrived and all 5 of us immediately felt at home. My partner and I and our 3 kids all agreed that this was a fantastic place that felt like home to all of us. We had the master bedroom which was conveniently located across the living space from the kids' room. They shared the bunk bed room which they LOVED. It had a bunk bed with a double bed for two kids on the bottom. All 3 kids stayed in that room very comfortably. We cooked each night in the great, open kitchen with yummy ingredients from Surf Market - fabulous New York steaks one night and local salmon another night. This home definitely doesn't feel like a rental with leftovers from the owners' primary home. There has been great care given to the furnishings and styling. We will be back!

It was the perfect weekend

Our family of four and our close friends spent three day at Sea Pebble this pas weekend. The house is wonderful in so many ways. First the floor plan is perfect. We had our side as a family while our friends had their side of the house, but yet we shared meals and time together in the great room/kitchen. The space was cozy, clean, stylish and warm and relaxing. Dennis and Lori have a wonderful sense of art and color which makes the home feel inviting. We loved the location of the house. We road our bikes around, hiked and walked the coast trail which was right out the door. I could go on, but let just say we will return. Even our 14 and 16 year old boys said it was great. That should say it all.

We had a wonderful four nights at Sea Pebble in Sea Ranch. The previous reviews are spot on in describing the amenities, and the photos accurately depict the home which is cozy and at the same time modern with interesting architectural features. The home is perfectly set up for two families with separate bedroom wings. The beds are comfortable, and the furnishings are appropriate for a beach home. The window seat area in the living room is prime property for reading, relaxing, and enjoying the ocean views. The process of renting the property was seamless, and it is obvious that the owners take pride in professionally managing their property. Communication was always prompt and complete. We hope to be able to return in the future, as we have just begun to explore the beauty and serenity of the area.

We love this house! It does not feel like a rental! It has an incredibly well supplied kitchen which made having friends and family over so easy. Everything was available and it really felt like home to us. My favorite spot in the house? The large and comfortable window seat where where we could lay down, relax and enjoy the amazing view. Thank you Lori and Dennis for thinking of every little detail to make our stay absolutely perfect. We highly recommend this house and are already looking forward to returning next year.

Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay, as it was peaceful, relaxing, and roomy. When our kids and grandkids came midweek, we had already explored several beaches, sea ranch facilities and view trails, and were able to spend the rest the week with all going to the best places (there are no real bad places either). When you're able to relax in a large home, have three generations of family around, a kitchen where all could cook, a large dining table to all sit, eat and talk, and be able to relax in the hot tub as well, nothing more could be better. Throw in the multitude of deer who wandered throughout our paths, the sea lions lying on the beaches, and the various birds that kept our attention, and we were all pretty much thrilled with our time away from the everyday hustle and bustle that surround our lives. It was truly a wonderful, unique, and relaxing "getaway" and as others have mentioned, the amenities, kitchen tools, and more were all available in this clean and bright home. Thank you Lori and Dennis. The details of the house were well thought out and everything was provided for a wonderful experience. We hope to come back again next year.

We had a fantastic stay. Thanks for everything. Your recommendations were "spot on". Cooked fresh fish from town in your Gourmet kitchen-Yummy! A wonderful safe place to let the kids run free. Pebble Beach brought back memories from the Swiss Family Robinson movie. What an incredible place to play all day. Look forward to returning soon to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The house doesn't feel like a rental home--it's a home I'd like to live in. Lots of light, love the open living area--kitchen, eating and living room, all with the big windows that face the water. It's really nice to rent a home that has decent cookware, utensils and dishes! We had a weekend of mixed weather and both days were great--Friday was cozy, curled up and napped on the padded window seat while the storm raged. And then there was Saturday--blue skies, lovely walks along the ocean and sunshine on the deck, hot tub at night. Hard to leave, looking forward to returinging next year.

We enjoyed every minute being inside and outside of that nice welcoming house. Thank you Lori and Dennis for making us feel like we were home. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had almost everything we needed, jaccuzi is a great addition to evening entertainment and dreaming under the stars:)))) Another beauty of this house is that it has it's own modern and fresh style....there wasn't any old-moldy smell, and it was warm and cozy all the time....Thank you again, and we will come back next year.

Walking in the front door, you get a feeling you are coming back home. Sea Pebble is well designed, with beautiful skylights and windows, a well stocked kitchen, and family in mind. There is plenty of room for all, whether it is just the two of you or eight. You are a short walk from the ocean, and there is a hiking trail to get you started right behind the house. We have visited Sea Pebble during all of the seasons, and they all bring their own special memories. Plan to feel well rested and wishing you had just one more day, you will not want your time to be over.

Although we have stayed at many nice places at Sea Ranch, "Sea Pebble" was our favorite. It is beautiful, simple, clean and perfect for families and/or couples. We loved the layout, with a large, modern kitchen. The rest of the rooms were also very tastefully decorated and cozy. The whole place felt brand new and clean. A close walk to a beach as well. We are so grateful the owners are making this special home available to be rented!

This house is really nice, clean and well kept. Spacious with a great kitchen and relaxing hot tub! It's close to the beach too! The owner was always timly and very helpful with any questions. I would definity come back and recommend to a friend!

Amazing and Relaxing Retreat

We stayed in this house for two nights and all wanted to extend it for weeks. The house was very clean, the kitchen was fantastically stocked with everything you may need, and the beds were super comfortable. Our two families really enjoyed ourselves, we all loved the hot tub, access to the beach and swimming pools, and the kids had a fabulous time having a slumber party in the kids' room! One of the highlights of the experience was the owner's detailed and prompt answers and descriptions of the property. All the information was clear and all went completely according to plan and schedule. We will absolutely be returning to this beautiful house!

My mom, husband, baby and I spent four wonderful days at the Sea Pebble relaxing and recharging. From floor to ceiling and all the details in between, you have truly created a warm and comfortable home that has just the right amount of spoiling-oneself-while-on-vacation feel to it. We all enjoyed daily hikes around the extensive Sea Ranch property, the baby had his first beach experience in the spectacular little cove that is near the house, we all soaked in the hot tub several times a day, and I personally spent as much time as possible soaking up the warm sun while reading or napping in the window seat. Thank you so much for creating such a perfect space to share with others and for supplying it with all the comforts of home. I look forward to my next visit to your fabulous beach home.

We loved our days at Sea Pebble House. We could have stayed a month. The walk to the beach was wonderful. We enjoyed the seals, waves, tide pools, swim center, hot tub at the house, well-stocked kitchen and general comfort of the home. Our granddaughters, and my husband and I all relaxed together and wished there were more hours in the day to do all we'd have liked to do in a day. The windows were sparkling clean looking out on the beautiful meadow and ocean beyond. Seeing the downy antlered buck one house down was a thrill. Definitely a great place to stay at Sea Ranch.

If this is a first time visit to this part of California's coast, The Sea Pebble offers a wonderful base camp to explore some of the historic sites. Fort Ross, Point Arena Light House, Bowling Ball Beach to name a few. Better yet, explore The Sea Ranch!! Ten miles of coast offers a large variety of beaches. "Rambles. A Guide to Select Trails, will introduce you to the many flavors of TSR to be encountered while hiking. Then there is The Sea Pebble, itself. A comfortable retreat. It's open living space allows for gathering together, and the bedrooms on separate sides of the great room offers privacy. Enjoy the view, share an adventure, relish your time together...This is a wonderful place to do it. P.S. Can you find Jacob Stengle's tombstone?? This was just one of our many adventures.

Wonderful home!

We loved your home! We have two small children and even though we had to battle a terrible storm to get to the house- and it was raining off and on the entire time- we all had a fantastic time! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and beautiful, the decor was relaxing. We could have sat at the window seat forever and read books/ played games and napped- so cozy. Our friends joined us for 2 nights with their children. We had fun playing by the streams, and finding abalone shells on the beach. The beach is amazing! The hot tub was so nice. We even saw whales from the house. We will be back over the summer to celebrate again. Thank you for sharing your home with us- it was incredibly restfull! Lisa, Brendan, Henry and Theo

We took our family to the Sea Pebble Home for an extended holiday weekend. The house was warm, private, tastefully decorated, and easy to relax in. We cooked some wonderful meals and enjoyed the large open kitchen. The hike to the beach was the perfect distance for small children to get to and the tide pools were wonderful at sunset. My husband and I are looking forward to going back with our road bikes to explore more of the area. Did I mention the hot tub? Stars at night were so clear! Perfect family retreat home.

I've just returned from my third stay at "Sea Pebble" at the Sea Ranch. Each time it has been a perfect place to relax and enjoy the North Coast. The house is thoughtfully designed, comfortably furnished, and super-clean. The sunlight pours in and the view of the ocean is lovely. It's cozy for a couple, but spacious enough for a small group. The trails leading all over Sea Ranch are adjacent. Our first night was crystal clear and stargazing from the hot tub was spectacular. It rained the second night but the house was cozy and warm!

We love this house. We've stayed there several times over the last few years, and it's perfect for everything from a romantic weekend for two, to a girl's weekend for six. The kitchen is fully stocked if you prefer to stay in, but there are also great dining options nearby. The furnishings are so tasteful and comfortable that we rarely leave the house except to hike for miles along the spectacular coastline. The hot tub accommodates several people, heats up quickly, and the views of the ocean and sky at night are amazing! This house is the best value in Sea Ranch.

This quiet, secluded, comfortable get-away is the perfect place to decompress from the busy Bay Area I live in. I've had the pleasure of spending some weekends in this house several times in the past few years and, on one occasion, brought my horse and kept him at the stable not far up the highway. The walk from the house to the beach is short and it's close to any amenity anyone might need, from restaurants to quaint markets, and local events that show the charm of this special area. Miles of hiking paths are right outside the door. Even on a cold, foggy day, I feel like I can enjoy the outdoors from almost any room in the house. The open concept allows you to enjoy the company you brought with you while either relaxing or working in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this Sea Ranch house to my friends...and plan to bring a group of them up soon.
