We had such a relaxing vacation thanks to this house. It is so private, makes you feel like you are getting away from everything. The views are amazing! We stayed with our two children (15 & 12) and they loved it as well. There is plenty of room and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The house has everything you will need. We also rented the kayaks. My husband enjoyed getting up early and paddling around the bay. We spent many afternoons floating on the rafts in the bay and would stand on the decks at night to watch the sunset.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We could go on and on about the architectural design, the location, the furnishings, the hot tub, and the special touches to make it feel like "your" Florida home with great water views and glorious sunsets. The well stocked kitchen - even copper cookware - made eating at home a pleasure and more desirable than going out. We loved the open airy design of the house. So....the bottom line is we loved it so much that the first day we arrived we were inquiring about a longer stay for next year, booking it for two months!! Thank you Miriam and Gene for sharing your beautiful paradise with us!!! The CarlsonsDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a beautiful and peaceful place for a vacation! The location afforded us quiet mornings, great paddles, wonderful sunsets and a great place to enjoy grilling local catches. We caught daily glimpses of wildlife- dolphins, alligator, iguanas and BIRDS! It was easy to feel completely at home in this very clean and well-cared for rental.Did you find this review helpful? Our family spent a few days here over Thanksgiving. The home is very comfortable and has any appliance you might need in the kitchen. The views are just incredible. We rented the kayaks and we really enjoyed being able to just take off right from the house. The owner was incredibly helpful and very kind. Thanks Miriam so much for a lovely vacation memory.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family of seven enjoyed every bit of this beautiful, spacious home. The views were gorgeous- felt we were surrounded by sun and sea. The kitchen and outdoor grill were perfect for the meals we prepared- large and had everything we needed. We looked forward to returning from our daily adventures of diving, paddle boarding, and biking to a luxurious place to relax. The hot tub was great! Christmas Day we had brunch outside overlooking the water and saw some dolphins. I had no trouble reaching the owners when needed. The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Christmas is a very special time for families to share. We try our best to make sure the house has a special touch for Christmas by having a Christmas tree, lights and other decorations. Our guests were delighted by the Christmas decorations, the champagne and little treats we left for their celebration.

We had the distinct pleasure of staying in this home for a week in late November-early December, 2012. All I can say is WOW!!! Upon arrival, we found the property to be spotless and although nothing can compare to the real thing, it is just as beautiful as the photos show! The view of the bay was so beautiful, and the sunsets were breathtaking. The house is situated so that the focal point is the bay and we spent many hours sitting on the deck(s) enjoying the view. The beds are by far the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home. On the second day of our stay, we saw a dolphin about 50 foot from shore and the there are fish everywhere. It would be ideal if you have a boat and or jet skis as there is a boat dock and also a spot for your jet skis. Miriam (the owner) was outstanding to work with, she provided us with information about dining and activities in the area. If you are going to scuba dive, we definitely recommend Ocean Divers (if you don't need a guide) and Sail Fish Scuba if you are looking for a guide.Did you find this review helpful? We have stayed in many homes over the years in the keys, and to our surprise this is our favorite one and is going to be for as long as she has it available. The views were fantastic from all balconies, just like Miriam said..."the only place you can't see the ocean is in the closet" lol and we were lucky enough to be able to watch the sun set and the full moon rise every day, we had amazing weather which helped alot to enjoy paradise. This vacation home is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. After being out on the boat all day you rest very well in the bed, they were very comfortable, and very very clean, which is one thing that is very important to us. Great views, great location, GREAT HOUSE, GREAT HOST....What more can you ask for to Enjoy every minute of each day on your own vacation. The house is AMAZING.... This home is in a quiet neighborhood , VERY NICE TO RELAX AND ENJOY. Miriam is a incredible host she was always available for any questions we had and was always very quick to respond . Satisfication to her guest seems to be very important to her and her husband. Very Nice and decent people. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE TO ANYONE THAT WANTS TO HAVE A NICE, RELAX AND CLEAN VACATION...TRY IT !!!! YOU WILL REMEMBER MY REVIEW.... What a treasure cove this is. We were all just awe struck with the beauty of this place the minute we arrived. When we got out of the car and saw the view we all just oogled and aahed! The view is just spectacular and the home itself is lovely as well. Very clean and comfy beds. I loved the master bdrms. shower with a view of the cove. We stayed here for 1 week, there were 4 of us. We would highly recommend this home. It is well worth the $$'s spent considering the privacy and the luxury of this place. My only advice is be sure and bring mosquito spray if it has been raining a lot as they do come out esp. in the evening I highly recommend renting the kayaks it is worth the extra dollars, we had fun exploring the cove, canals, etc.. Miriam was always very quick to respond to any of my questions and concerns which is a rarety these days. Customer satisfication seems important to her. Definately we give this place 5 stars!!!! She had a good list of resturants and area attractions and we were not disappointed with any of her suggestions. .Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We have stayed in many VRBO homes over the years, and I must say, this is our favorite one. It was so clean, you could eat off the floor. It was very well built, and you could tell alot of love went into this beautiful home. The kitchen was so well planned, and everything you need to cook was provided. It was so nice, I broke my vow of not cooking on this trip. We went to the Fisheries and bought the cold crab claws, crab chowder and conch salad. It was so much fun, we even grilled out another evening. The views were fantastic from all balconies, and we were lucky enough to be able to watch the sun set and the full moon rise at the same time. As far as the beds, they were very comfortable, which most of the rentals we have stayed in were terrible. The bathrooms were nice and the showers perfect, with lots of pressure. The outdoor kitchen was well laid out and it had a wonderful breeze way to cool you down. The only cons I can tell you is bring plenty of bug spray. The mosquitos were really bad after the rain. And the biggest con is...I don't live at this house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This vacation home is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. We had gorgeous weather most of the week, with rain one day. The home has a wonderful view! Sits on the property with the canal on one side and the bay on the other. The sunsets are just as awesome as other reviews have stated. We spent most of our time at the home because everything we needed was there at our fingertips. The water, the sun, an outside kitchen, hammocks to rest in and lots of fishing!!! Ate out only twice at the Pilot House and also Hobo's both of which were very good! Drove into Key West for a day, which is a little more than 2 hour drive. Lots of fun things to do there! We visited Ripley's Believe It or Not, and also the Southern most point for pictures :-) Ate at Cheeseburger for lunch and Jungle Cafe for dinner...both very good. Although we heard lots of mention of manatee sightings at this rental, we were not fortunate enough to see one, however we did see a dolphin swimming just feet away from the shore on our last night there. So cool!!! Grocery stores and other shopping are very close by. This home is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood and I highly recommend it! Thank you so much Miriam and Gene!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: Both my husband and I are in the design and construction profession. We love boating and being next to the water. We love watching the sunsets and make time to sit by the water each evening to celebrate this special moment. We also love to sit in our balconies and watch dolfins play and chase fish right outside. In the winter months, there is always a visit from manatees and we specially love to see a mom and her calf swim leasurely along the canal. We love biking and kayaking. The fresh smell of the sea is refreshing and rejuvenating.
Why the Owner Chose Sexton Cove:
We live and work in Miami and the drive to Key Largo is only 45 minutes door to door. We have been going to KL for our weekends for the past 30 years and we love it. As soon as we arrive in Key Largo we feel the magic that is only experienced in the Keys. You can be far from rush of the City and at the same time is only a short drive away. The local seafood, which we both love is fresh and delicious. Every restaurant has their own secret recipes and the food is delicious.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house has great views and within minutes you can be in the coral reefs to enjoy fishing, snorkeling or diving. There are many dive shops and charter fishing in a close 5 minute drive. 5 minutes also gets you to John Pennekamp State Park.
