We spent a week in this lovely beach house, and we all fell in love with the place. It's hard to believe you are just 20 minutes from the over crowded beach of Wilwood when you walk for miles on the quiet Reed's beach. The house has a lot of character and is very confortable. There is plenty of space, even for a group of 5. We loved eating in the veranda and admiring the sunset and the full moon from the patio. The owner was very nice and the rental process went smoothly. All week, we couldn't believe our luck to have found such a peaceful haven!

We've been going to RB for 6 years in a row. Each time our stay was the highlight of our year. We are very much looking forward to our next stay. It's a great place for nature lovers, artists, writers and anybody who truly enjoys peace and quiet. We like it so much we bring enough food for the whole week so we don't have to leave the place. Wish we could live there year round!!!!

My family and I rented this home this past August. To our dismay, as soon as we pulled to the rental, we were shocked. Over grown weeds and piles of sand all over.. Not how picture showed it. As we entered the home we were even more shocked with the run down conditions that the home was in. It was a total shocked to us as we loved the pictures on the website. That is what drew us to the property, the quaintness of the home. Well that was the furthest description from the reality of it. As soon as we inspected the property we called the owner and she was shocked to hear we were not happy. We had tried to have the situation rectified to no avail. I would not recommend this property at all. The owner was very hurt that we were not happy, but yet did nothing to compensate us. Trying to get our money back.

Owner response: We are surprised and disappointed that our cottage was not to this renter's liking. What she calls "weeds" are actually the "reeds" of "Reeds Beach." Warblers nest in the reeds. Cut down their nests? I don't think so. The sand "everywhere" was because we are on the beach. There is no sand in the house. We understand that different people may have different standards that they find acceptable. For us (and for most of the others who have rented our house in the past) the house is old and weathered but perfectly clean and functional. It is a beach cottage. The website photos are meant to convey the feel of the place. It's Reeds Beach. It's not an investment property or an item on eBay. We love the house and love staying there, but I guess she did not. This renter and her family stayed the full week. Needless to say, this is every property owner's nightmare. Note: a neighbor later told us that although this renter spent a lot of her time there complaining about the house to anyone who passed by, she did concede to him that her granddaughters were “having a ball.”

We rented this house for 3 weeks in July. The house was very comfortable, breezy and clean. We were surprised and appreciative of the little "extras" provided including board games, beach chairs & toys, condiments, etc. My husband loved that an ocean kayak was included and it quickly became the highlight of his stay! We loved that we found a place where we could bring our dogs and enjoyed walking on the beach daily. Deborah was wonderful to work with both before our arrival and during our stay. We would highly recommend this quaint beach house for a low-key family vacation.

We've stayed a couple of times and will come back. Reads Beach is quiet, beautiful and great for families and bird watchers. The house is clean and breezy. An easy drive to the ocean beaches but in a different world. Archery nearby too. Owners are great to deal with.

We loved our time here. Reeds Beach, and this house in particular, are special finds in this era at the New Jersey Shore. The community is quiet and off the beaten trail, and the house is charming--a 1930's-style beach house, updated and decorated to today's tastes. We will definitely return, for longer next time!

Why the Owner Chose Reeds Beach:
Reeds Beach was beautiful and relaxing. For two summers we rented, then we fell in love with this house which just happened to be on the market. We were interested to find a place to vacation with our dog.
