  This was the best place that my family has stayed at. The descriptions and the pictures are spot on. We were very pleased when we arrived at the house. Everything was cleaned and ready for us. We used the extras for the beach and I can only suggest bigger umbrellas. My kids loved the kayaks and rode the bicycles every day. My family had a blast walking on crooked island beach, found alot of beautiful shells and lots of crazy crabs. (Man those things can move FAST!) We trailered our motorcycles down and had plenty of room to park the trailer. We went on some great rides along the beaches--St. George Island, St. Joseph and some great roads in the Apalachicola National Forest. We didn't eat out much. We bought groceries, St. Jo--Dollar General Mart, and grilled. My son's even went fishing one day and we had some great fish and bought some fresh shrimp. We did eat at The Fish House-- I don't know if Saturday night is bad for them but our food was awefull. My fish wasn't done and it was cold. My husband was also very unhappy with his whole meal. My kids meals were OK, but I guess we were expecting alot more! We had great lunch at Peppers and then we had the best burgers and onion rings at a place called Grace's Pub. I loved the porch. Mornings are my time, and every morning you could find me on the porch with a hot cup and reading magazines about the area--almost every store has magazines with things to see in the area and they were very helpful. We were all very comfortable in the house. We could not have asked for anything better. Everyone in the area was very nice. Bo, the caretaker, is an awesome man!! He was there for anything we needed, even with advise where to go and what to do. Don't forget the pier, we saw dolphins chasing a school of fish and a sting ray. I can't say enough good things about this place. We did so many great things but we also had some great relaxing time.

  Our stay was very good, everything was as we expected it to be and more. It was very quiet and comfortable. In the early morning hours several wild animals were spotted by my husband. The people in the area were very friendly, this is a place that we would possibly stay again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  What a wonderful, cozy, way to relax and enjoy your stay in this quiet, ocean side community. You have a wonderful, convenient, and clean place to stay. We will definitely come back. BTW the sunset on the beach are breath taking, we have a picnic each evening to just sit and enjoy the beauty.

  My family and I had a wonderful time at Double Chillin in Mexico Beach. This was our second time in the area and we found the accomodations to be perfect for us. The house was very nice and roomy and suited our needs very well. The bedrooms were very nice, especially the master with the jacuzzi tub. The kitchen was nicely equipped with all utensils and lots of boxed food available. The recreational room was very nice with the pool table and video equipment. Additional amenities that we like were the availability of bicycles and kyaks for our use. Their recommendation for a boat captain for deep sea fishing was right on. We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy a stay in Mexico Beach.

  I have visited Mexico Beach with family and friends many times over the last 20 years or so, and this is by far the best accommodations we have ever had. And the best price, save when we used to tent camp across from the El Governor (back when you could pitch a tent there)! It really was like staying at a good friend's comfy and well-appointed home. I visited with my mom, my daughter, my 18 year old niece, my uncle, and my grandmother (ages ranging from 4-80). We all had a wonderful time. Just as the ad said, we had everything we needed and only had to buy food. Close enough to the beach that both my 4 year old daughter and 80 year old grandmother could easily walk, yet a couple blocks back from the "main drag" so that we could safely take advantage of the bicycles provided! It was a nice, quiet neighborhood, and we particularly enjoyed sitting out on the huge screened front porch on the comfy porch furniture just talking. The few times it rained, we enjoyed watching it from the porch. Everything looked just like the pictures, clean and well kept. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us to feel that we had space. The town of Mexico Beach is charming, and even the check out guy at the Dollar General was smiling and friendly. I would be too if I could live there! The beach there is one of my absolute favorite places on earth and the sunsets are the best I've ever seen. I traveled from another part of Florida just to experience this awesome place again. I will be back!

  My family enjoyed getting away from the busy, crazy crowd of our beaches. Double Chillin offered us a great place to stay the was only a short bike ride to the beach. We all enjoyed riding the bikes all over the place. We just wish the weather would have been better. But we live here in Florida and we know that the weather changes every second. Great place and we would definitely stay again.

  Great screened in front porch....we spent almost our entire vacation there! We had three days of torrential rain but the porch saved us from being stuck inside. Very comfortable accommodations - lots of living space. Nice walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous beach area and very private. We are already making plans to return.

  We recently stayed at Double Chillin with our three kids (13 yr old, 7 yr old, & 4 yr old). The cottage couldn't have been better. It was spacious and well decorated. It had anything and everything we needed- from beach umbrellas, bikes, grill, game systems, kitchen gadgets, etc. The kids had an amazing time at the beach each day. The beach wagon was also great to have. We enjoyed a visit to the cape. We made friends with George at the Shell Shack where we bought out fishing bait each day. (The boys pulled in at least 10 fish a day) We loved loved loved Killer Seafood. It is a must to visit!! If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, free from the hustle and bustle this is the place to be.
