  My parents rented this place for Christmas and we've never had such a horrible experience (and we use VRBO frequently). Not only was the home not ready for us (yes, my family flew in and had to be put up in a different rental the first day, night and part of the next day), but the owner never responded to my emails for help when we arrived and 1. the heater for the hot tub and pool was broken (stayed broken over 60% of our stay) 2. food was rotting in the cabinets in the dining area 3. 3 of the 4 outdoor heating lamps were broken after we bought propane to use- YES, the owner of this house states that the person renting has to buy propane if they want to use the grill/outdoor heaters 4. the sauna worked IF you could jam something into the on switch to keep it in the on position 5. there were no pillows in one of the bedrooms 6. the fridge had a broken drawer, the hood for the stove was broken and made a horrible noise when it was on, there weren't enough dishes for a meal even though the owner said 7 people could stay there 7. the upstairs shower was incomplete- there was no wall on one side, half a wall separating the shower from the toilet so when we showered, water sprayed everywhere and we had to wipe the bathroom dry after every use. I could go on with other problems, but I won't. Just beware, the write up is terrific, but the house is run down and the owner never responded to my requests for help. He had a contact that met us at the house and walked us through it, and he did the best he could (bought us a broom and some hand towels as there were NONE provided), but even he knew the sauna didn't work and that there was no propane and he thought that was normal. For a luxury rental, this place was anything but. The only luxury was the price tag. You've been warned.

  This was a perfect place for our family get-together! Joe & Kristian were very helpful in finding the right home for our family! Then when we got to the house Kristian showed us alll the "ins and outs" of everything and a little history on this beautiful property....loved that!! It was perfect for the grandsons to swim...and they loved it. The house was clean and in tip top shape! The whole stay was so fun, so comfortable....we want to come back and stay at this beautiful estate again! Thank you for a wonderful time in this PERFECT house!

  Stayed here with family and had a blast! The pool was such a great, spacious feature and the house was both cozy and luxurious. Joe and his team were great to work with! The location was also ideal – right in the heart of the Hollywood Hills which I highly recommend for a vacation spot.

  The home was a very special treat. Just close enough to the action yet above it all and so private. Beautifully kept Hollywood treasure. Pool area is wonderful. Clean and fully stocked. A very nice vacation stay

  This was the most amazing holiday of my life and not just because it was my honeymoon and present from my wonderful husband. But because this was Orson Welles house and Citizen Kane is my favorite film EVER. Situated on one of the most iconic streets in Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard everything about this place oozed luxury and class. From the Jacuzzi to the sauna to the pool and the totally breath taking views. Even the kitchen was overwhelming in its magnificent style. I felt like Rita Hayworth strutting around in my silk nightie and that was very fitting seeing as she has also lived here. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the furniture was of the best quality. My nights sleep was comfortable and refreshing. I was in heaven! The house itself was huge, with 4 bedrooms. There was only two of us in the house, but it was my honeymoon so I didn't feel it was too over the top. But this place would be great for larger groups of friends or families. There was so much to do in the daytime, walking along the boulevards. I am afraid I am a bit of a celeb hunter so I did love walking along the streets on the of chance that I would bump into a Hollywood star walking their dog (which i didn't!). I also went to Venice Beach which is something I have also always wanted to do - I was not disappointed. Champagne on the poolside at night, super huge beds, lounging around in the day. The romance factor was unbelievable. In total we stayed here for 7 days. This was the most wonderful holiday of my life not only because of the honeymoon, but also because of this great house. 100% recommend.

  Hollywood Hills is absolutely stunning! It's like a dream vacation, coming here. The estate was luxurious, comfortable, and the staff was outstanding, always ready to help. I give Hollywood Hills five stars because of their great service, excellent accommodations, and stunning atmosphere. I highly recommend them!

  I stayed here with all my friends the night of my bachelor party. We all met up here for wine and cheese and to freshen up before heading to dinner. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The view was amazing from the deck and a cab arrived on schedule to pick us up for dinner. It was easy to find parking and convenient to have a washer and dryer right there. We were all really happy staying here and wished we had had another night in the city!

  We stayed at this property for one week with our two kids. We loved the home. The views and pool are amazing and the home was very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend it.

  I'll admit the reason I chose to stay here was because I heard Orson Welles stayed here. But when I arrived and took my first look at the property I forgot who Orson Welles even was because it was just gorgeous. The lagoon is absolutely breathtaking. Furthermore it was right by all the best places to visit in Hollywood. There was never a shortage of things to do and it was all within walking distance. There is no shortage of space inside either. There is also more than enough to do inside if you don't feel like going out that night. Definitely will be back.
