My husband and I along with another couple were very impressed with the Condo property we rented for 6 weeks in Playa del Coco , Costa Rica. The condo was well supplied with kitchen needs, all new appliances, large kitchen, large bedrooms with own ensuites, bedding and towels and if there was anything we needed the property management team were there to help us get settled in. We were very comfortable in the condo which had plenty of room for 4 adults to share. Thank you to Cheryl, Kelsey and Ana for making our stay very pleasant. They arranged a rental car, shuttle service for us so we could enjoy getting places without having to do the work ourselves. The pools were beautiful and kept very clean, the grounds were very well manicured and the weather was excellent so we could enjoy all the amenities everyday while we were there. We could not have wished for a better and nicer place to stay at. The condo owner was very helpful and pleasant when answering all my questions while the booking was taking place and even when we arrived he was very concerned that we were enjoying our stay and willing to offer any information we may need to make our stay very pleasant to a point where we were not ready to leave. The property is a short walk to Coco Beach itself and to the town and a 30 minute bus ride to Liberia, as well as, a 45 minute drive by to Tamirando Beach and 1 1/2 hour drive to Nosara making it a convenient location to take day trips to other beaches and resort areas. Tours can be booked through the management team available at all times by email or a short phone call away taking the load of us trying to arrange things while we had better things to do like soak up the rays and enjoy the warm waters of the pools. Grocery stores were a close walk and Pacifico has its own grocery store stocked with everything a person needs and more. We would absolutely recommend this condo located in the Pacifico complex to anyone and when we return would absolutely rent this same condo again to enjoy for another stay. Thank you Joe and Kay for a wonderful stay and to the management team thank you. Sincerely The Happy Gang, British Columbia, Canada.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

This 1st floor condo overlooking the pool is perfect for a family of 4. We rented this condo during Christmas week 2012 and thought the accommodations and location to the town of Palya del Coco was perfect. A grocery store is convientely located just outside the gates of the complex. With in walking distance you also have A coffee shop, boutiques and Citron an casual resturant for lunch and dinner.the beach is located 2miles away and there are shuttles that pick you up at the front gate throught out the day to bring you to and from the club. There is a resturant at the beach club that provides you with great food and drinks throughout the day. Town is also a 5 minute walk and there you can experience the flavor of the culture in Palya Del Coco. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Cheryl and Kelsey were most helpful in planning our excursions throughout our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

Our stay at the condo was fantastic. There was only 1 aspect that tainted the stay and that was the service we received when the internet didn't work and a shower light was out. Cheryl, the person overseeing this was away and her backups did absolutely nothing. We were unable to make several important calls the first few days using the internet. (we didn't bring phones) They were full of empty excuses. All that said, the grounds were unbelievable and the pools incredible. The staff at the gates were friendly too. 2 condo suggestions (both very minor compared to the support staff issues) - The sofa in the living room was uncomfortable. No one liked it. It is narrow and there was not enough soft seating for 4 people to relax. We just hung out in the kitchen. - The master bed is super hard. The carpeted floor was actually softer and we considered it. Again, those are only suggestions. The place was wonderful and the location was perfect. We would love to go again and will definately recommend it to others.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks for your input! I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. I have made my Project Manager aware of the issues that you had while she was on vacation and have asked her to ensure that we have better support during her absence.

I traveled with a group of 7 people to Costa Rica for 7 days. The word amazing doesn't even begin to describe the experience that we all had. I don't even know where to begin to describe it, but here goes: From landing at the airport to traveling to the condo - one glimpse at where we would be staying for a week at Pacifico and we fell in love. The condos we had were wonderful. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. We split people up so we had 3 in one condo and 4 in the other. Joe and Dave (the owners of each respectively) were wonderful in working with me to set everything up and the condos were close enough to each other that we would all meet at the cool or have a relaxing night together in one or the other. Bernal with Tico Tours led us on the excursions that we had which we all describe as the best time of our lives. The beach club is especially nice and our favorite bar was Coconutz! Ladies night at Lizards and Zi are awesome too because the crowd is great to mingle with. We will definitely be coming back and cannot wait until that time arrives!Did you find this review helpful? Excellent accommodations and the property is beautifully manicured. My family of 3 and a personal friend and his wife truely enjoyed our stay. Condo is furnished very nicely. Bedrooms are roomy and the beds are very comfortable, especially after a long day. Notebook PC provided in the condo was a very nice feature to have to check emails and perform local searches, since we left all our personal electronic devices in Texas. Well except for the iPad which is a must for my 7 yr olds entertainment and yes, there is wifi in the condo. There's also a Magic Jack phone which works throught the notebook, so friends and family can call as if you were back in the states. There is also a guest book and an owners book with reviews of local restaurants and adventures taken, which was very helpful. The pools are refreshing and remember to pack a collapsible cooler to take to the pool. Oh yeah, the Pacifico Beach Club is an option with shuttle service and provides a small private sanctuary off the beach with spa, cabanas, pools, lounging, food & beverage and towel service. I hear there's a gym there, but I was there to relax. You will be catered to by the staff. Happy hour is from 4-7pm and we were very happy. I highly recommend this condo, you will not be disappointed. Few tips, take a collapsible cooler, laundry detergent pods, refillable water bottles, water shoes, hiking boots and walking shoes. There's a washer and dryer so pack lightly. Don't go crazy at the grocery store, we ended up throwing away alot of stuff we thought we would eat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

This is truly the place to stay for comfort and relaxation in Costa Rica. The pools and landscaping were beautiful and well maintained. Just a few minutes away from the airport and centrally located to the Playa del Coco, we enjoyed local shopping and quiet time away from work. The Pacifico Club was a wonderful addition for private access to the beach and excellent food.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

I could just say ditto to what everyone else has written. We found the R&R we needed in abundance. Time to rest and time to explore. Besides the raves about the condo, the extreme helpfulness of the owners and property manager, the luxury level resort feel of the complex, it was truly the Costa Rican people and their history that grew on us. If you come into the Liberia airport, you will pass many examples of extreme poverty...until you get to the Pacifico property and then you enter another world. Which was a little troubling at first. But over the 2 weeks we were there, we had opportunities to interact with native Ticos (as they call themselves) and what struck us was how proud they were of their heritage; especially those in Guanacaste Province. We were also impressed at their and their government's focus on preserving the incredible biodiversity of their country by setting aside 27% of their land mass in National Parks. (Thus giving us a chance to take 100s of pictures! Please look for tour brokers whose main philosophy is promoting ecotourism.) The Guanacaste people were pleasant, patient (we really need to brush up on our Spanish), and just very nice people. And they have figured out that their best shot at growing their economy is to promote ecotourism. Check out the owners' travel log on the desk in the condo for many great suggestions for restaurants and tours. We chose not to rent a car...but did take the tour of Rincon de la Vieja and the River Cruise on the Tempesque River in Palo Verde. See the Guest Book, also on the desk, for other guests' suggestions, too. Food is expensive...so that was a great excuse to eat out most of the time. There are way more restaurants than there was time to check them all out...all within walking distance. But there are 3 grocery stores, with one being right at the entrance to the property. So we stopped almost daily to get fresh produce to put with our left overs of the night before (and their Imperial beer!). Might mention, also, about the nature trail that is within the property. The lack of good signage along the way just made it more of an adventure to find it. if you are the hiking/adventurous type...continue up the mountain past the waterfall overlook. As we were coming back down, a family of Howler Monkeys crossed paths with us and we got some great pictures and will never forget the experience. (The noise they make sounds more like a lion, than howling like a wolf or cayote.) We will go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

Excellent facilities, very clean and with exquisite interior; Estate is well kept with friendly staff, clean swimmingpools and many green areas; shopping facilities nearby; very good location for various sightseeing-tours and sporting activities (diving, swimming, golf etc.) - car is essential. I would recommend fish dishes in Restaurants and to use local guides for sight-seeing tours - they know and see much more than we do! Very interesting holidays with excellent accommodation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

We had a car so travelled the area quite a bit. I believe our accomodations were the best in town and the general area. Great pools for all ages from kiddie to seniors. Friendly manager and owner, always willing to make useful suggestions, etc. A very nice condo which we would highly recommend. Also, the town was fun with many nice restaurants. Easy walk everywhere.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: We are Joe and Kay and have been married for 21 years. We enjoy all aspects of traveling to other countries. This includes learning about other cultures, viewing local wildlife and eating local foods.
Why the Owner Chose Playa del Coco:
We have traveled throughout the US, Europe, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean, but our favorite location is Costa Rica. Consequently, on our second trip to Costa Rica we decided to buy this condo. The condo has everything that we were looking for. It has a beautiful view of the mountains, fantastic swimming pools, and all the conveniences of home.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the beautiful scenery and the wildlife viewing. The restaurants in Playa del Coco are also excellent. The seafood is fresh and very well prepared. Most of the restaurants are an easy 5-10 minute walk from the condo and the grocery store is just a 5 minute walk. The Beach Club is truly first class and very well maintained.
