We had a wonderful stay at this quaint condo/town home. We are a family of 5 and for less than what we would have paid for a hotel room downtown, which for us would require a roll-away or air mattress, we stayed in this roomy condo. Everybody had a bed and we were able to prepare some of our own meals and do a little laundry too. The metro station is very convenient to this location and I would definitely recommend taking the train rather than driving a car into DC. The train was not cheap (about $100/day for unlimited day pass for 5) but at least there was no worry about parking, which wasn't cheap either, but cheaper than the train... Anyway, would definitely stay here again. The primary reason for our stay was a DC wedding and Wemmy was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early so we could freshen up and get to the rehearsal on time. Very nice apartment. Lots of room, very comfortable. Wemmy was very helpful with information regarding the area. A little bit of a trip to D.C. by the Metro, but still easier than driving in to the city. There is little if any public parking downtown. The only place to park is on the road-which is difficult to get. Plenty of restaurants in the area- use your G.P.S. to find them. Most of the attractions are free-which is an awesome bonus! See the new Air & Space Museum in VA. It has the shuttle Discovery on display. Overall-you can't beat this. Everything is available to you to make your trip convenient and comfortable. This place was really quite nice. We felt quite comfortable and at home in the condo while we were there. Having a kitchen and laundry proved invaluable and saved us a ton of money on our trip - not to mention saving so much on the condo vs. what we would have paid at a hotel. The condo was very easy to find (even with a rental GPS that kept getting us lost everywhere else we went!), was clean and had a lot of closet space. It seemed much bigger than the actual square footage advertised - probably because it was laid out so well. The greenbelt metro station was close and convenient...it made the transportation to DC extremely easy. Out of all the wonderful things, the best part of renting the condo was working with Wemmy. She was kind, accommodating, patient with all our questions, and was very helpful. This was my first experience with HomeAway, and my first experience renting a condo not in a hotel for a vacation. We had a fantastic experience with Wemmy and this apartment. Wemmy was very helpful with all emails and instructions and settling in was easy. The apartment is in excellent condition and it was a very comfortable stay for a couple, mother-in-law and two babies (we brought our pack and plays). We were able to drive to the city every day for sight-seeing and parking close to the main attractions was only 10-11 dollars a day. Convenient and close to the Greenbelt Metro. My kids loved riding the Metro. It was well kept, clean and nice to come back to after a day of seeing the sites in DC. Would definitely stay again. This condo is exactly as the pictures show it. Beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool several days, not crowded at all and most days my girls were the only ones in the pool. Wemmy was very nice, a few mishaps we had, one was a broken dish. I replaced it with some plastic bowls which I figured were a better option for vacationing families with children. The dishwasher also came un-plugged one day and Wemmy came over that evening to plug it back in. The bathtub was very slow driaining and got worse as the week went on. Some of the rules in the information book she left were a little confusing, it mentioned that if there was excessive cleaning we would not receive our refund, so we made sure to clean everything before we left including the bathtub, I also did several loads of laundry to help out. It also metioned for people with children who pee the bed that if the bed was wet on you would not receive the deposit back and would also be responsible for the cost of a new mattress. To solve this delimma we purchased a $5.00 mattress cover from Wal-mart for the full size bed. Using the Metro to get into DC was very easy. For our family of 5 it cost us around $60.00 to get to Union Station and back to Greenbelt per day. It was very easy to use after figuring out the ticket purchase. We had a great vacation and if we ever decide to return to DC we will probably stay here again, I would also be sure to tell friends and family that this is a great place to stay.Owner response: Aww!!! I did not know you bought a mattress cover, I had one already on there. The penalty for children peeing in bed (which has not happened so far) was put in there to discourage parents from letting their kids just let go... No one wants a not so clean mattress right! Well I am glad you had a good time, we unclogged the bathroom drain, it was just hair...someone must have skinned some kind of animal in there...;-)

It was everything noted and more. We spent a long weekend there with our grandchildren ages 10 & 16. The kids thought it was "cool", that comment confirmed to us we made the right choice. The condo is a Metro ride to DC away (recommended vs driving) plus close to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. We wanted for nothing. We decided on a very last minute trip to DC and found this beautiful condo the day before we arrived. The condo was very spacious and it looked really nice. It was very clean as well. Great location with easy access to the train station, DC, Baltimore and Annapolis. We instantly felt at home.
