My wife and I decided to do some "island hopping" as part of our Hawaiian vacation this year. We visited four islands and stayed in four condos and one hotel. Our stay in Wailea Ekolu 107 was unfortunately limited to only three nights but it was by far the best accommodations (and rates) we had during our two week vacation. Ekolu 107 had the best views, a quite location and is well maintained. We found everything anyone could want in a condo plus more. It is also very close (within walking distance) to the wonderful Wailea Shops and a variety of great restaurants. Now that we have gotten the island hopping out of our system and found a condo that we both love, next year we will plan our vacation around a full two week stay in this same beautiful condo.

Recommended for:Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Best vacation ever! This is an adorable condo in a gorgeous location. The condo has beautiful furnishings including a romantic tropical style 4 poster bed. We loved the relaxing lanai and the great view. We spend many hours here sipping champagne and enjoying a simple meal. The condo was bright, cheerful, well equipped and clean. Its easy to see Lesli really loves her Maui condo...and now its our new home away from home. We'll be back!

I have to admit I was dissappointed. The condo was not clean and some furnishings were broken. It is quite outdated as well. The location is great and the view is too. Overall I think it is overpriced, especially for the time of year that we visited.

Owner response:I really appreciate your candid feedback. Since I do not live on the island my guests are my eyes for what needs to be addressed at the condo in my absence. Feedback such as this allows me to work with my on-island family to make sure each guest has the best experience possible. It is also important for me to know before I travel to Maui what I need to address when I am on the island...especially if I need to order supplies that aren't readily available on on-island. I regret that your experience was disappointing, but please know that your constructive criticism will be put to good use. -Lesli

The view is out of this world, better than the Grand Wailea that costs 5 times as much. The condo feels like a home, I loved all the handmade Hawaiian quilts and wall hangings. Lesli was so pleasant to work with, we had to move our dates and she was very accommodating. The unit was clean and comfortable with lots of local charm, a true Maui get away. My husband walked to his tennis and we both walked to dinner and the Shops at Wailea. I want to go back now and sit in the garden and look at the sea and islands.

Location, location, location! This place is fabulous! Walk to the shops in Wailea, quick drive to golf and beach. We have been to Maui several times, but this was the first without kids. The size of the condo was perfect and the view is to die for! Sitting on the lanai was absolute heaven. Lesli was prompt, helpful and overall simply wonderful to deal with. The pictures are accurate, but they don't include the tropical breeze or massive views. There are no stairs, which is nice. My dad visited for lunch and loved it so much that he wants to sell his timeshare and just rent this place! It is just wonderful. I highly recommend this property! I cannot wait to go back! Aloha

My wife just got home, we had a wonderful time. The condo was great, it had almost everything we needed for our week stay. The refrigerator even had a couple of beers and sodas waiting for us. The towels were just like at home. We used the beach mats that were in the condo when we went to beach. One fun story I went around with the remote control found in the bedroom trying to change the speed of the fans in every room, with no luck until we figured out the remote was to control the air conditioner in the bed room, the fans speed adjustments were on the wall in each room for the fans

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It felt immediately like a home away from home. The kitchen is well appointed, there are plenty of beach toys, tons of towels and Lesli took care to supply laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, ect. The view is amazing and the condo is within walking distance or a short drive to some of the best beaches we have found on Maui for snorkeling and diving. We hope to go back soon and would definitely recommend this condo to friends!

Wonderful Time in Maui

We had the most wonderful time in Wailea Ekolu on Maui. The Condo was nicely furnished, comfortable, clean with a nice view on the golf course and the sea. We enjoyed a fully equipped kitchen as well as shops and restaurants in walking distance, and a swimming pool. Although Wailea is very upscale and quiet, there a lot of things to do like going to the beach, snorkeling, water sports, golf, hiking, cycling etc. It is a good starting point for all the sights on Maui. I would recommend to spend one evening in one of the restaurants at the Four Seasons Resort nearby. Food is excellent and you have a nice view on the sea and the sunset. We were sorry to leave that wonderful place and hope that we can come back one day.

OMG!!!!! My husband and I have been to Maui several times and this was by far the best accommodations that we have had! We spent seven fabulous nights in Condo 107, which exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for more! The condo was very spacious, well furnished, very clean and comfortable. It felt very much like home with thought put into all aspects including TV with full satellite package, DVD player, a good provision of towels and more unusually for most holiday rentals plenty of beach equipment including, scuba gear, beach towels, beach chairs and parasol. Most evenings were spent on the lanai with a good view across to the sea, nearby islands and as the day closed the sun set and the light of the full moon! The condo is in very close proximity to some great beaches, some of which you could walk to whilst others are within a five minute drive. We tended to make use of the good kitchen facilities but there is also a selection of restaurants within walking distance. Although Wailea is at the end of the highway it is a good road, which makes condo 107 a good base to explore other parts of Maui.

We spent 10 days in Ekolu 107 from Oct 20 to 30. Your place is very pleasant and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the lanai at 107 where we enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast watching the scene in front of us change and light up as the sun came over the mountain behind us. We also enjoyed many of our evening meals on the lanai as well as we watched the sunset and then the corresponding evening cooldown as we finished dinner. My wife and I just returned from a wonderful week in Maui at Lesi's condo. What more can I say, the view from the condo was to die for. The unit is well appointed with Hawaiian art, huge master bedroom and 2 baths. Very easy access to all the top restuarents and beaches, the best being Wailea. If you take the time to read her guest book (Lisli has quite a few entries in it) you will find that she and her family care quite a bit about this property. I won't hesitate to recommend the condo to anyone who wishes a relaxing vacation in Maui. P.S. Since Lesli does not charge extra for cleaning (most owners do), fell free to leave a little something for Liz, the cleaning lady. She is quite passionate about chocolate!

We felt so fortunate to find Lesli's condo. It is beautifully decorated and really felt like home. I loved Lesli's quilts! The oceanview from the lanai, kitchen and bedroom windows, and reflected in the mirrors made every moment in the condo special. We caught the tail end of the whale season and could see whales from the lanai - bring binoculars! It is an easy drive to the best beaches on Maui for snorkeling, swimming, boogie and body surfing, and sun bathing. The beach supplies, ie, blankets, mats, chairs, came in very handy. There were so many thoughtful and comfortable touches through out the condo. We had a difficult time saying "Aloha" to Ekolu 107. Mahalo!

Hi Lesli and family, Ekolu 107 was everything we expected. What a killer view from the lanai. I don't think we have ever had so much privacy and took all our meals outdoors. The place is beautifully decorated compared to others that can have a somewhat generic touch and it was a joy to live in it. We so enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and pool areas. Our weather was absolutely perfect - no rain for a month in the Wailea area which is amazing for Hawaii. The beaches were great if a little busy. We had some great meals at Joe's, Roy's, the Feast at Lele and the Five Palms. Hope to be able to get a time for 2009. The very best to you Lesli and your family June and Ron Thibault

In one sentence *HEAVEN ON EARTH* not just Maui but the home of the Brodbeck family Ekolu #107 Wailea, Maui. The View...Just sit on the patio and WOW!!! Spectacular view of the golf course and the ocean with NOTHING in between. At night you can almost touch the stars, hear your breath and feel the ocean air. The Brodbeck home...It gives you the feeling of warmth comfort and love, almost like big blanket giving you a hug, wrapping its arms around you. The location...from sand and beach to a nearby pool and BBQ's on the grounds nothing is that far away. Fabulous shopping, great restuarants and dining and dancing it's something everyone should experience. But once is just not enough, becasue when it comes time to leave you really wished your holiday has just begun. All I can say the Brodbeck family has been VERY kind and generous for allowing us to share a piece of what they created and you will appreciate the time love and laughter once you have visited Ekolu #107 in Wailea...I hope everyone gets the chance to visit this home and that it is memorable and special for everyone they love. We simply loved it...Maui is the place to go for active or relaxig lazy vacation...The condo was so nice,cozy clean and we had everything we needed. Kitchen, bathroom, living room is tastefully decorated and fully equiped. What you need more.... The location is very convenient to do lots of things especially walking around in all the resorts on the little hiking trail along the beach... We did almost everything...hiking, kayaking and turtle snorkling, body boarding , shopping in lahaina (ABC stores of course) and the shopping mall in wailea (indeed more window shopping than anything else, too expensive :-) The beaches in Wailea are fab and most of the time we just went to the grand wailea resort which was a paradise located just below our complex...how convenient is that :-) Wow, even the beach equiptment was available to us, umbrella, beach towls, snorkling staff, beach tennis and body boards:-) Thank you so much for having us. hope we will find our way back...it was an amazing time and we would have loved to stay longer... yours Monika, Angela, Nadine

We have vacationed in Maui every year for the past seven years as well as on other islands and the Caribbean. This unit was located in a wonderful location in Wailea with a direct view of a golf course (although we hardly ever saw golfers) and the ocean in the distance. Since we love the beaches in that area, the location was perfect. another plus was we slept 10 hours per night; it was so quiet and cool even without the AC! The unit was tastefully decorated, clean, and everything was included (beach towels, umbrella, sand toys, hairdryer, a mini-coffee maker). All arrangements with the owner were professional and hospitable. In short, we loved it. It was definitely the most home-like condo we've stayed in on Maui. The only negative, and this is minor, is that the sofa in the living room is actually a trundle- bed covered with attractive throw pillows and Hawaiian fabric. Although pleasant to look at, it was not as comfortable as we would have liked to relax on and watch a movie or TV. However, we didn't go to Maui to sit on a couch and watch movies!!

Enjoyed staying 7/19 - 7/24/2007. Quiet, clean, close to our FAVorite Big Beach. Wonderful view of Molokini and Kahoolawe(sp) (the forbidden island) right off the Living Room, Kitchen, Lanai. Have stayed in Makena (house), Fairmont Kei Lani...this is exceptionally priced for it's location and views. I highly recommend Ekolu #107.

We had a wonderful time at Lesli's condo. The view is beautiful, probably the best in the entire complex. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the morning - watching the boats head out to Molokini, and in the evening - watching the sunset. The unit is very clean and decorated nicely. It was comfortable for our family of four. We had everything we needed, including beach gear. The location is great - peaceful and quiet, beautifully landscaped, and the air is fragrant from the plumerias and gardenias. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

We were very pleased with our stay at the condo. It was bright and cheery, lots of windows and mirrors. Very clean. The home grown tangerines that were waiting for us were wonderful, and the beautiful cut flowers were a nice touch. Decorated very nicely. Short walk to the pool, great beaches a short drive away. Leslie and Family, Thank you so much. We were so lucky and happy to get your condo at the last moment. We love the decor, the openess and the awesome view. We felt so comfortable there and slept very well. Enjoyed watching sunrise on the private lanai and the boats going to Molokini. Your condo is in a great location, close to all and far enough for quietness and relaxion. Went diving at Molokini and snorkling at near beachs with the sea turtles. The condo was a great place to spend a Maui vacation. It's situated close to the conveniences of Kihei but far enough away to avoid the crowds and traffic. The complex is quiet and although the building is situated close to a main road, the noise levels are acceptable. The condo itself is extremely comfortable and well-appointed. I've stayed in condos which are jam-packed with "stuff" but Lesli's condo is not overdone, very pleasing to the eye and very relaxing. The views are incredible from the westward facing windows and lanai. Would definitely go back.

We had an unbelieveable time at Ekolu 107. The unit is in great shape and the views are fantastic. Eating on the patio, which is so secluded, private and quiet was a real treat. We hope to be able to do this again next year.

We had the most wonderful time in Maui and Leslie's condo was just perfect!! We loved it!!! The view was awesome and the beds were SO comfortable and it was quiet and peaceful and so nicely decorated. Leslie you thought of everything in the kitchen, bathroom, beach stuff, etc. - it made our stay so nice especially with the kids; felt right at home. We will definately be returning to stay there again.

107 was an absolute delight. The location and view were ideal. The unit is well appointmented and is the perfect set up for a romantic stay in Maui.

We absolutely love this place! You wouldn't believe the view!!! It is undoubtly the best view in the whole area (flowering shrubs/trees/green lawn/lots of ocean and gives the impression of no close neighbors). The condo was attractive and very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area and we will be back again!

After a few days in Oahu, our walk through this door at Ekolu 107 was the Hawaii we imagined. What a fantasic place....well appointed, great view; we throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our return!

This condo was perfect for our family of 4! It's location was ideal! The master bed is SO comfortable. And enough cannot be said of the view!!! A PERFECT spot to watch the sunset and boats going out to the island of Molokini! We were able to pack up a cooler with lunch and drive to many fabulous nearby beaches and use the PROVIDED beach equipment - chairs, towels, mats, boogie boards (we added one), toys. We felt right at home.

Ekolu 107 is the place to stay for a second home on the island of Maui. It is beautifully decorated, equipped with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, beach 'stuff' and very close to everything! The view is fabulous - words and photos will never adequately describe the beauty! Thank you for the opportunity to call Ekolu 107 our 2nd home during our stay on Maui!!
