Get away from it all, and RELAX. A place with a 'I'm on vacation' vibe, where all you have to think about is on which warm beach to enjoy the next cold beverage.
This charming villa is located in the beautiful, natural area of Saint Bart's bordering the island's most natural beach, as well as the historically significant salt pond (Saline).
Walking distance to great new (Le Tam) and tried and true (Les Grain de Sel) restaurants, driving distance to the island's distinctly unique Euro nightlife (Nikki Beach), the villa is ideally situated. Come discover the beauty of Saint Bart's and rejuvenate under the warm sunny skies of this friendly and welcoming island.
Our villa is nestled in between the tall volcanic mountains that are an integral part of Saint Bart's. It is a cheery and well-appointed villa suitable for a family, couples traveling together, or just yourself. A great honeymoon destination, our villa is ready for a 'master' in the kitchen, or a 'master' of the restaurant reservations. The kitchen is large and well-appointed, but fine dining is within walking distance. All rooms are air conditioned, all windows and sliding doors have screens and the vast covered porches are perfect for a breezy afternoon nap in the hammock. Two bedrooms, one Euro King and one with two Double beds, include all linens.
There is a washer on premises, a clothes line for the ocean breeze to dry your laundry, maid service visits, and the house is outfitted with beach gear including a large umbrella, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and a soft sided cooler.
Bring your Ipod, and connect into the docking station for instant music. Bring your Ipad to tap into the wireless internet and keep up with the news from back home online. The flat screen TV, CD player and video library will help to entertain you, as well. You can easily unplug all of it, and get away from it all.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Sapy last week with our 8 month old, and we had an amazing time. The villa is really in the perfect location - close to everything (walking distance or a short drive, including a fabulous boulangerie at which we purchased our daily croissants and baguettes), but secluded enough that you have total privacy in your own little slice of paradise. The villa itself is outfitted with everything we needed, from a lovely hammock and dining table on the picturesque wraparound porch, to the fully equipped kitchen, we felt like we were home from the moment we arrived. It is very clean and well-maintained. The photos in the listing are perfectly accurate, and we loved the decor! The bedrooms are both ample with large closets, and the beds are very comfortable. The downstairs bathroom was great for rinsing off after the beach, and we always had plenty of hot water in both showers. The AC is nice and cold for the hottest days, and it's also lovely to open the screened windows and doors to let the beautiful Caribbean breeze in. The living room is large and open, and our daughter had a great time crawling all over the place. The white wood/beamed ceilings are my favorite part; they're beautiful! There is satellite television, but who goes to St. Barts to watch tv?! The wifi worked well for us. The owners were very helpful in booking our stay and answering all of our questions. There are all kinds of wonderful restaurants on the island, but we found two within walking distance to be fabulous. L'Espirit is under new ownership and is fast becoming one of the must-dine destinations (make a reservation). Next door, Le Grain de Sel, is a little less formal, but very delicious. So nice to have these right down the road from the villa! And the beaches (oh! the beaches!)... Saline, the beach within walking distance of the villa, is absolutely amazing. It's never crowded and always gorgeous. The next closest beach, Le Gouverneur, is our second favorite and just as beautiful. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone! Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so glad that you all had a great time. We love having return guests, so looking forward to a threepeat! Y'all come back and visit soon!

The location near Saline is nice and quiet. There is not a commanding vista like some other villas higher up, but you can see over the salt pond. The kitchen is nice and big, the wireless was nice to have...it's almost a necessity these days. I'm not sure if the clothes washer was broken or I was just doing something wrong. I know that you don't go on vacation to watch TV, but for those times that you want to chill out a larger TV with English language channels would be nice. A full sized sofa would also be nice. I know that's getting a little picky. The villa is overall priced correctly and would not hesitate to stay there again. The balcony is also huge, with a nice big table for outdoor dining.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband and I chose Villa Sapy for our annual sojourn in St. Bart. We have stayed on other parts of the island but this time wanted to be close to one of our favorite places in the world; the exquisite Saline Beach. The villa is fantastic. I'm not sure when it was built but it feels brand new. It has wonderful architectural details like exposed beams on the high ceilings and a wrap around porch with a hammock which is wonderful to swing in and listen to the rain as well as a table where we would enjoy a end of day "Painkiller"; the official cocktail of this particular vacation. The kitchen has every utensil and appliance you could want if you feel like cooking but other than our morning croissant and coffee we ate out, often walking to two excellent nearby restaurants; Grain de Sel and Le Tamarind. Our days we're spent lazing on Saline which is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk. Jeff and Julie have provided everything; beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, snorkeling gear and a separate shower right in the carport to wash off the sand and salt when returning from the beach. The villa is well furnished and nicely decorated, the beds are comfy and draped with dreamy white netting. The air conditioning was quiet and ice cold if we wanted it to be...though often we just opened the sliders in the living room to enjoy to the sounds of nature. We found this location to be more central for visiting other parts of the island, everything is about 15 minutes. The boulangerie in L'Orient is just a 5 minute drive. One of the things we loved the most was how secluded the villa felt. Close to the road to Saline yet enclosed in it's own little jungle of trees and foliage. Villa Sapy is a true nature lovers retreat!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so pleased you found your spot! We could not agree more with your sentiments regarding "getting away from it all". Many thanks, and fingers crossed that we can welcome you back next year! Julie and Jeff

Our tp was a week long escape for my wife and I .. leaving behind our 4 kids with my mother in law. St Bart's could not have been a more perfect choice .. and I would not want to stay anywhere but Villa Sapy. I am an architect and therefore care a lot about design and space .. the exposed structure on the entire roof is beautifully and simply detailed .. the furniture and beds are nicely arranged, comfortable and have a great island feel. The porch and hammock are perfect for a meal into the sunset overlooking the salt pond .. or watching for the properties' wild parrot, who we named Taruk. The kitchen is new and functional for cooking in, but there are also 3 of the best restaurants within a short walk. Grand Saline is one of the best beaches, with great snorkling and nice sand .. and not too many people around. The other beaches are all easy access as are amazing french bakeries, the butcher and even the airport .. everything is close as the island is not too big. There is AC, but we preferred to open all of the windows (there are screens) .. and turn on the fans as there is always a nice breeze. The owner was very helpful leading up to the rental and the property manager met us at the airport and was quite gracious in making sure we were properly settled. The island feels much safer than many of the islands we have been to .. and one of the best parts of the island is that all beaches are open to the public .. even those at the feet of the most exclusive resorts are open to everyone .. so it is a great place to go beach hopping. Though we love when we go on vacation to just relax and stay in one place, we found ourself drawn to jumping to a few beaches a day for several of our days .. we did not regret it as each beach has a lot of character. You can also go bakery hunting ... another good activity though one that will mean you bring back some more pounds when you return. We could not have been more comfortable or better located and will always come back to Villa Sapy. We highly recommend it!!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

What a great spot for a much needed vacation! A brand new kitchen that is stocked to perfection with all the utensils, dishes and equipment you might need; a porch that has a big table, great chairs and ALWAYS nice breezes; oh so comfortable beds and pillows (a must after a hard day of napping on the beach or shopping!); great artwork; good general information about the island and some recreation options; guides to all the restaurants and clubs you could possibly want; a perfect getaway for anyone that needs a break from the grind. Give in and take that break at Villa Sapy--it's the spot you didn't know you always wanted to be in!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: An island boy, and a stateside girl, met while she was on vacation in the USVI over 30 years ago. We fell in love, got married and honeymooned in Saint Bart's, on this property. We have two kids, and they love this place as much as we do. Can't wait to retire and spend more time in paradise!
Why the Owner Chose Saline:
An essential part of our families history, this land has been part of our ancestors homestead for centuries. Oh, if the rocks could speak, the stories they'd tell!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
We love the natural beauty of the island, including the beaches, the flowers, plants and trees, the neighborhood parrots and iguana's who visit every now and again. Saline is considered to be out in 'the country', and we appreciate the quiet, and the incredible starry nights, but also appreciate how close we are to the action in Saint Jean, shopping in Gustavia, and the airport.
