Welcome to my private Whistler home, Villa on Rainbow. It is the perfect family get-away or couples retreat (no partier's, please). Completely remodelled in 2008, my home is located conveniently in a quiet, residential subdivision directly behind the Meadow Park Sports Center and on the Valley Trail X-Country Ski System.
The villa is just a quick four minute drive from Whistler Village. Enjoy the views of Whistler/Blackcomb and the surrounding mountains from every room. Languish in the sun-drenched, entertainment sized living room complete with a 42' built-in HDTV and woodburning fireplace, views and vaulted ceilings.
Enjoy preparing meals in the fully-equipped kitchen while friends nestle up to the cozy gas burning fireplace in the adjoining family room. Enjoy a fantastic day on the slopes in winter or a relaxing day at Rainbow Beach in summer. Then escape to the tranquility and comfort of Villa on Rainbow. Thanks for your interest and have a great holiday!
Layout:
Entrance - Ground floor; 2 large closets, one for outerwear and the other for skis; hand-peeled pine banister leading to upper floors.

Your house is very well presented for travelling ski-ers like us and we wanted for nothing: having internet connection and coffee machine so readily available was a huge bonus for us, x-country ski trails at the back door, walk to the gym, bus to village around the corner, I will be telling all my friends about it. The boys took off skiing the moment we arrived and did not stop until it was time to go.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: I've been living in Whistler since 1978 and skiing here since I was a small child. Originally from Vancouver, BC, my thought was to spend one winter season in Whistler after I graduated from high school and I am still here, 34 years later! I currently work at the Whistler Public Library in the children's department--helps keep me feeling young as does the mountain biking, skiing, kayaking and Whistler lifestyle.
Why the Owner Chose Alpine Meadows:
I purachsed the lot the property sits on in 1996 and built that same year. I chose the Alpine Meadows subdivision and particularly, this lot, because of its proximity to the Valley Trail and Meadow Park Sports Centre. It is a well-established subdivision with many mature trees and hiking/biking trails close by. As well, sixty percent of Whistler's permanent population reside here therefore, a great place to live and raise a family.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
The property is a corner lot that boasts great views and an abundance of natural light. The proximity to the Valley Trail and Meadow Park Sports Centre can't be beat! I love being just north of the village. After-ski-traffic is not an issue and having a cafe and small convenience store just up the street is a bonus.
