This condo is wonderful! Not only is the beach and pool beautiful (because let's face it, when you come from the north on spring break you are thinking about being outside) but the unit is right on the beach with a two picture perfect views that make you feel you are still on the beach. We felt like we we in paradise the whole time. It has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The place is located near the rain forest, old San Jaun and the Fajardo ferry dock. Thanks Carlos. We look forward to the next time we can stay.

Owner response: Dear Deborah, It was my pleasure to help you and you family members, I am very pleased to know you loved the villa. This villa is designed for complete privacy, The beach front property (A PH Villa has a direct view to the beach with no interference) Ocean view from inside the property you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner with pool view (3 pools) and ocean view as the ocean is 20 feet away from the property. Please come back!! My best wishes to you and your family, Carlos Camino

When I rented this property I double checked with the owner to make sure it was handicapped accessible, he assured me it was and it currently states on the ammenities list that it is wheelchair accessible and suitable for the elderly or infirm. This is not the case. The condo is up 3 flights of stairs with no ramp or elevator access. When I mentioned this to Carols' property manager Carlos told her "of course its not handicap accessible, its a penthouse and states that on the listing." Since my mother-in-law recovered enough from her hip replacement surgery to manage the stairs we felt we had no choice but to stay since we had already paid a significant amount of money to Carlos. While the pictures of the condo are accurate and in and of itself the condo was a nice place there were a few bothersome traits. ALL of the lights and ceiling fans were on 60 minute timers. This was particularly inconvenient at night as it would get quite warm and we had to keep getting up to turn the ceiling fan back on. The air conditioners were motion activated and went off after about a 1/2 hr. Again, it made it quite difficult to sleep and we couldn't keep the windows open because there were no screens on the windows which actually looked pretty typical for the area. The dishwasher didn't work at all and the washing machine broke right before we got there. I understand things breaking but when I asked if they could at least bring us some clean towels I got no response back (this was after we had already stayed there for 5 days so I did not think the request unreasonable). There was supposed to be 4 sets of snorkel gear, there was only one full set. With all of this we never received an apology or offer of compensation. Again, while the condo is nice and the ocean was beautiful I would not recommend this rental.

Owner response: Dear Carol, I have never said it was all a handicap accessible, all I just said it is a limited handicap accessible. You will find a ramp for handicap persons also a accessible parking for handicap persons. You assumed there was an elevator and you ask me and my response to you it was, there is not an elevator!!. There were more than enough clean towels for your party. Also there was 4 snorkelling equipment at the property but customers with bad habits damages the property and take things with them,,, something I cannot control!! My best wishes, Carlos Camino

The view was amazing! Plenty of room for our party of 6. Beds were comfortable. You definitely need a car if you stay here, but it is located where you can easily spend the day going to the sites around San Juan and Fajardo and the beaches. The only things I could complain at all about was that it needed a little better cleaning. There were quite a few construction supplies, such as paint, left in the upstairs bar area. You have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the condo. Also, someone came into the unit while we were out for a day, yet the property manager claimed it was not her. Nothing was missing, though. I would definitely stay there again. It was an awesome view and property for the price!

Owner response: Dear Tammy, I am glad you enjoyed your stay at my villa, just for you knowledge I was the one (the owner) that was inside the villa fixing a pluming problem that you had inside the villa. Please come back you have a second home at Puerto Rico.

Stayed in January 2012 with some college friends. Great spot. Beach is nicer than anything in the continental US but pretty empty. Comfortable driving distance from San Juan, El Yunque, Fajardo, and the kioskos. The place itself is nicely laid out for a beach retreat. Furniture was better than most resorts. Would stay again. Manolo gave us a nice escort from our car rental to the location.

Owner response: Dear Bret, Thank you for your great review!! Have an excellent day, please come back!! My best wishes, Carlos Camino

Hey Carlos you are the best!! The PH is wonderful did bonfire at the beach the on first night and cooked at the beach our neighbors were the best we even invited Carlos and he cooked for us local food. The property has 4 rooms Master Suite, Secondary Suite, Third Suite, and best of all Terrace Suite. At night we had the best time with an excellent weather at the terrace making BBQ and music. At Carlos villa you will find snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, 2coolers, beach towels, boogie boards. The surroundings are beautiful and friendly neighbors, you can do groceries at Wall Mart 10 miles from the property. The Airport is just 15 miles away from the villa. On our second day we went to St Regis Resort to have dinner at night 5 miles away. Old San Juan 30 miles away we went to El Morro Castle , San Felipe Castle and wondering around at Old San Juan. Carlos recommended us to eat local food at Bebos Cafe located at Loiza street near the airport it was the best and inexpensive. La Concha Hotel is an excellent place for lounging. We visit El Yunque Rain Forest and it is a must . Carlos was very accommodating and helpful he was always there for us.

Owner response: Dear Stacey, Thank you for inviting me have dinner with you lovely family!!

Most of the reviews here were written by Carlos, the owner. You can tell which one's are real as they use proper English. Carlos speaks slightly broken English, which is obvious when you read the fake reviews. We enjoyed PR, but Loiza is very rough and you need to drive a ways to get to anything decent. The beach was trashed and we didn't go to our beach once. There was gunfire everywhere on New Year's and we we afraid for our lives. For 8 people, this villa was way too small. It is a nice villa for 2 couples. No screens on the windows and no central air, so we got eaten alive by mosquitos. We felt scammed and deceived and Carlos just smiled an laughed at us. Loved, PR, hated the villa and Carlos.

Owner response: Dear Recent Customer, As you should clearly know, I cannot write my own reviews and that is not ethical at all. Obviously we speak Spanish in Puerto Rico and my English is not perfect, I apologize for it but at least I can communicate clearly in two languages. There are no fake reviews, these are real guests that have really enjoyed their stay in Loíza, so I will appreciate not offending my past guests with your comments. New Year’s Eve is a very hectic night and there are fireworks everywhere around the GLOBE, honestly I don’t even like to go out that night too, I spend it with my family. The villa has five air conditioners so there was no need to be bitten by mosquitoes, also that is something that you can’t control when you come to Puerto Rico or anywhere else including Africa (been there) and I survived with no complaints. Sorry to hear you hate the Villa and myself, I was educated to love everyone and never use the word HATE with anyone. I appreciate your stay and review. Regards, Carlos Camino

He was there for us 24 x 7, the villa looks exactly how is shown at the website it even looks better on person!!! Wall Mart supper center is 10 miles from the property and you can do your groceries near by. Carlos thank you for helping us so much in Puerto Rico with all the tourist information you gave us and all the recommendation given of restaurants and historic places where to go he even gave us a welcome present!! That was very nice from him!! Thank you Carlos!! He is very professional and was there for us 24x7 whenever we needed him. Carlos did recommend us to go to St Regis Resort they have 5 different types of restaurants (you have to make a reservation before you go), it is 5 miles from the property a five star resort and very exclusive. The villa is located on a quiet and safe neighborhood, as the villa is beach front you can hear the waves and see them it is a gorgeous, romantic, and relaxing villa, you have a direct view with no interference from the living room, terrace (private), and master room (king size bed) The villa looks exactly as is shown on the website (it even looks better in person) The villa is very clean and accommodating, our neighbors on Loiza are very friendly and they love to help (Loiza is a very safe place and relaxing ) The best thing we had was Wal-Mart Supper Center at 10 miles from the property, Beltz Outlet Mall 10 miles, Old San Juan is at 25 miles, El Yunque National Forest 10 miles, from the property you are wright on the middle of everything ( all the attractions of Puerto Rico) The beaches on the area were awesome, we will back next year to stay on Carlos PH. I would recommend this villa to anyone!!!

My family and I arrived on July 2, 2011. This was our first trip outside of the US. We were so excited about the vacation in Puerto Rico after speaking with Carlos. Once we came into Loiza, we were shocked at the surroundings. It was a very poor and dirty area and we felt unsafe. We were glad that Carlos had told us that we would not need to leave the resort. Carlos told us that there would be 5 restaurants "at the resort" with a casino. Once we arrived at the apt. It was nice inside and had a nice view as far as we could see at that time. There were linens on the beds, but no washcloths or dishcloths. He told us we could buy some at Walmart. We were suppose to stay from 7-2 to 7-11. We were all hungry and my husband and I ask where the restaurants were. We did not see them coming in. (Carlos said they are five miles down the road!) We said, "you told us they were here at the resort." He just kept saying (five miles down the road.) We went five miles down the road to St. Regis Resort and we were told if you did not stay there, you could not eat there. We had traveled all day, and now we had no idea where to go eat. We turned around and when we were driving, looking for somewhere to eat we saw a man sitting at one of the slum bars right outside the gates of Malibu Beach Resort with a shotgun. Next to the road was an old man whose face was painted red and black with very long hair. He looked like a witch doctor or something. The police in Loiza never turn off their blue lights because the crime is so high. They are everywhere. We stayed one night at Carlos's place and that was enough for us. My oldest son found a 4in.needle in his pillow. He could have been stabbed with it or worse, it had been sharpened on the end. We still have it. We packed up and left the slums and drove for 31/2 hours to the other side of the island. Because of Carlos's misleading comments we feel like we were deceived and our family was put in danger. I would never advise a family to go and stay at this place. Once we got to the West side everyone we talked with said Loiza is a "bad place" and they never go there. I can see why. The west side of Puerto Rico is beautiful and so are the people. I can't help but think some of the reviews were written by Carlos. If he was such an honorable man he would have offered us some of our money back, but instead just smiled and gave us our security deposit back. There is no where to eat and no casino. Terrible trip!

Owner response: Dear George, Thank you for inquiering my property. As you know your group didnot stayed on my property and it is not honorable to write such a review. First of all, I never said that there were five restaurants and a casino at the resort. Second of all the police in all P.R needs to have their blue lights turned on evertytime is law. Third of all, when I requested you to give and show me the 4 inch niddle, you said, you werenot going to show it to me and even give it back to me because you wanted to keep it as a souvenier (no proff of a niddle) I havenot seen a needle like that on P.R and the apt gets cleaned and inspected before the my customers come to the property I cannot write reviews of my own property because the system of HOMEAWAY and VRBO doesnot allows me to do that. With all your respect, you are making an accusation that is not correct. I am glad you enjoyed your stay on the west side of the island, I strogly suggest you visit other countries. Best wishes, Carlos Camino

This Malibu beachfront property was great for our week stay in Puerto Rico. Villa description and pictures are exactly how the apartment itself is laid out; very clean and well furnished. I think what really made the difference during our vacation, though the apartment itself and all the amenities were great, was in fact the owner Carlos and his wife. Their friendliness and hospitality were great! His wife met us at our car rental place and even drove part of our party and luggage in her car for us. She drove us around town through areas she knew we would be interested in, and was so helpful when we asked her for recommendations for places to see and eat; she even told us about the hot spot club in San Juan for us to check out. Throughout our stay Carlos and his wife were available for any questions we had or that would arise, and he was even kind enough to escort part of our group to the airport for our departure. The location of this villa works perfect for those trying to get the most out of their vacation. We wanted to make sure to visit El Yunque and Culebra and Vieques islands, as well as San Juan and Old San Juan so this villa is in a great location that allowed us to do it all. Renting a car is a must of course, but definitely worth it because you get the most out of the trip. It was convenient to have the kitchen and refrigerator in the apartment because it allowed us to save some money on lunches if we so chose. We bought a few meals to hold us over, while still enjoyed plenty of nights out on the town and authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The villa is definitely out of the real populated city life, so to get to a Walmart or bigger store it is about a 15 min drive but it was also nice to get the quiet feel of rural Loiza. Many nice beaches near by and it was a plus to have snorkeling equipment available for us to borrow at the villa. The villa has a very private, quiet feel to it. It wasn't until the last few nights of our stay that neighbors actually began to show up so there was no worry of loud neighbors or inconveniences. Whether you have a young group, older group, or traveling as a family, if you are trying to get the most out of your vacation and potentially cover the most ground, this villa is great! Relaxing, convenient, and most of all affordable!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Dear Monica, I was a pleasure to have you all around; we treat all of our customers as we would like to be treated!! I am very happy you received back by mail the two passports back that you left on the villa. You will always have home in P.R!! Best wishes, Carlos Camino

So friendly and we loved at nights and days on the terrace watching El Yunque (rain forest),and doing BBQ.We snorkeled on the beautiful beach and boogie board we learned the beach on "Malibu Beach Front" (Here) is superior than beaches in San Juan. Carlos was wonderful. He met us at our rental car facility and escorted us to the property. He was available to us at all hours for a few minor problems we had arise. Check out was a breeze. He also has assembled a tourism binder with brochures and ideas for fun activities. The apartment itself was everything that was advertised. Clean, spacious, great views. About 15 miles from the airport, it is perfect for those want a larger space and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of staying in the city. About 30 minutes from the Rainforest and 45 minutes to the BioIsland tours.

This apartment was worth the 30 minute drive from San Juan. It's conveniently located within just a short drive of everything. One hour from the bio-luminescent bay tour in Farjado. One hour from zip-lining in La Marquesa. And a quick 40 minute drive from Old San Juan. And only a few minutes from the gorgeous beach of Piñones. The apartment itself was super spacious and clean. Nicely decorated with nice appliances and electronics. Plus, has amazing views of the beach and the pool. It slept our party of 7 comfortably and had a great rooftop patio/ balcony. The beach was nice and there were a few friendly locals, but we felt like we were on our own private island... except for the family of manatee that splashed around in the sea! Carlos was awesome, super accommodating and helpful! He had great suggestions and was available if we needed anything!

Carlos was wonderful and made arrangements to pick-up four of our 6 person group at the airport when we arrived. We were a group of three couples from NY, CT & SC. It was fabulous for us to get away and enjoy the beautiful weather. Temperatures were 83-87 degrees during day and 72-74 degrees during the night. The 3 bedroom 2 bath penthouse was very comfortable. Carlos provided us with a book listing activities & places to eat. Penthouse was very spacious, clean with a washer & dryer. It was a very secure apartment complex, with 3 pools located near the front door & the ocean just a few feet from the rear. The view from the living room & the roof top terrace were gorgeous. We we’re able to visit El Yunque Rainforest latitude & longitude N 18* 22’48.19”..W 65* 44’ 16.58”, Fajardo for a Spreadeagle II Catamaran boat ride & snorkeling on the reef latitude & longitude N 18* 20’ 38.84”..W 65* 38’ 12.72” & we had planned to go kayaking on Bio bay latitude & longitude N 18* 21’ 46.49”..W 65* 37’ 29.66”, but a late heavy rain storm prevent us from doing so. Also went to Bacardi Rum Factory Tour, Highway 888, Catano San Juan, 787-788-1500 latitude & longitude N 18* 27’ 29.57”..W 66* 08’ 21.28”, La Rumba Party Cruise (Dance boat), latitude & longitude N 18* 27’ 48.97”..W 66* 06’ 44.13”, & Latin Roots (Dance Club), Recinto Sur & Comercio Street, San Juan, latitude & longitude N 18* 27’ 51.60”..W 66* 06’ 44.34”. We went out to dinner just about every evening of our stay to El Jibarito Restaurant in Old San Juan latitude & longitude N 18* 28’ 01.84”..W 66* 06’ 51.14”, St. Regis Bahia Restaurant in Rio Grande latitude & longitude N 18* 24’ 43.85”..W 65* 49’ 12.79”, La Parrilla Restaurant in Luquillo latitude & longitude N 18* 22’ 48.19”..W 65* 44’ 16.58”, & Rosa De Triana Restaurant in Old San Juan latitude & longitude N 18* 27’ 55.72”..W 66* 07’ 06.05”. We all enjoyed our walks on the beach & swims in the ocean. The apartment is located close to the rain forest, San Juan, Rio Grande, Fajardo & other tourist attractions, but a car & GPS are a must (locals give directions by saying go to Walmart turn left & then find Berger King & make a right). Entering Puerto Rico addresses into the GPS is challenging, as most addresses are not recognized by GPS. On Garvin GPS go to (Where to?) then scroll down to Coordinates. Entering latitude & longitude coordinates is the way to go. Apartment is at N 18* 26’ 03.06”..W 65* 51’ 21.39”.

Owner response: Dear family, you will always have a home here in Puerto Rico thank you!!!
