100' waterfront getaway completely remodeled in 2010. Nestled among large pecan trees on the Colorado arm of Lake LBJ, one mile below Inks dam. The large rocks in the water are great for climbing, sunning and exploring.
Treat yourself, family and friends to sun and fun on this constant level lake. You can swim, kayak, canoe, tube and fish from our bulkhead. Adjacent community park offers an additional 100 feet of waterfront for your enjoyment.

During periodic water release from Inks Lake, the normally calm water rushes past the rocks creating a cool retreat during the hot summer months. Amenities of the house include fully equipped kitchen, dining table, bar stools, 52' LCD TV/DVD, stereo with CD player, washer/dryer, Sealy Posturepedic and American Leather brand sleep systems, porch facing the water, waterfront seating, gas grill, outside table and chairs, carport, two kayaks, one canoe and tubes.

This house was very relaxing and very clean. The view is amazing and peaceful. My husband caught two large bass right from the dock in front of the house. What was especially great was the owners allowing us to use their kayaks and canoe. That sealed the deal for us! It's such a hassle to tow our own so having them at the house waiting for us to use was awesome. Thanks for sharing!

This rental is by far, the best property I have rented thus far, and it will be very hard to beat. This house has been beautifully renovated and is so welcoming and comfortable. My husband and I, along with my in-laws, spent an extremely relaxing labor day weekend here. We kayaked, canoed and just played in the river the entire weekend. The best part in when the dam was releasing. My mother in-law and I spent a few hours just riding the rapids on our floatees. It was so fun!! Susan and Robert, you definitely have a jewel and we are blessed we could share your home! We will be repeat renters...

I'm happy to write an excellent review for this property but afraid all the good reviews will make it impossible to rent in the near future. The pictures do not do this property justice. The attention to interior details made the indoor space warm and inviting. The outdoor space, patio, yard and patio area along the water were also lovely. The location on the lake is magical...calm and serene most of the day and then miniature whitewater rapids for that best part of the afternoon. Having the kayaks and canoe was the icing on the cake for us. We really enjoyed our time here and will defenitely be coming back!!

“We SO enjoyed our time here. Other reviews have talked of the lovely accommodations, the serenity, the proximity to "sights" - all TRUE. But I was most impressed by the beauty. The pond was filled with brightly blooming lily pads and was fronted by some gorgeous blooming perennials. The park on the lot next door was also brimming with wildflowers of every kind and color. Every view included blooming flowers or water or both! - PERFECT! This is a haven.” “You could find sun or shade - whichever you preferred - anywhere on the spacious property just about any time of day. The kayaks were an added value and the area of the water where the property is located is easily navigable.” “I would like to add the treat of having 2 kayaks and a canoe and how lovely the attention to interior details are, and the wonderful rocks/patio down @ the river.”

We had a great time. The house was immaculate along with very comfortable beds, better than a 5 star hotel. My family had a wonderful time. There was plenty to keep my 3 children occupied for the 2 days we stayed, and the visit to the caverns was an extra special treat. I highly recommend visiting, the owners were more than happy to answer any questions we had.

Our family stayed here last weekend. This was our first trip to Lake LBJ. We rented a boat and spent the whole day on the lake. They were able to bring the rental boat to a lauch very near the home which was very convenient for us. There is a rock barrier in the river which separates the lake from the section of river between Lake LBJ and Inks Lake. This creates a quiet getaway from the activity on the lake. It was really nice to be able to have fun on the lake and then go just upstream of the rocks and enjoy a quiet area on a very scenic part of the river. Many times homes picthred on websites turn out to be not as good as the photos that advertise them. This is not the case with this home. It was just as pictured on the website and when we got there, everyone went WOW! It is super clean and everything was perfect. We could not have asked for more. The owners had everything set up to make a visit to this home very enjoyable. The view, easy access, proximity to the river and lake, wildlife, beautiful property layout, and everything in and around the home made our stay very enjoyable. The owners are great folks and offer great communications if you have any questions or need help with something. We would stay here again and would recommend this as a great place to stay.

My family and some friends of ours stayed last weekend. The house was very nice and super clean, the tile work in the bathroom shower was incredible! The view of the water is serene and the landscaping provides a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The fishing there is good and it is the perfect place to boat or kayak.I highly recommend!!

My ladyfriend and I live in Austin so we're fortunate to have ample choices of Hill Country and Highland Lake hideaways to escape to on weekends. This one on the banks of upper Lake LBJ (within paddling distance of the base of Inks Lake Dam) is one of my very favorite getaway spots. First of all, it's delightfully quiet out there, especially at night when the stars put on a sparkling show far from big city light pollution. I understand that on summer evenings you might hear guests in neighboring homes across the lake, but that has not been my experience. It's also quite lovely by the lake. The grassy yard slopes down to granite outcroppings that line the watefront. There's a concrete boat dock by the water, a perfect spot for soaking up the sun, sitting and reading, birdwatching, swimming, fishing and launching one of the Coe's kayaks into Lake LBJ. As for the home, it's beautifully appointed in a tasteful, understated way. Robert Coe is a master-builder, and his wife Susan has exceptional taste -- and it shows. The home decor is worthy of being highlighted in Architectural Digest. The pillow-laden bed in the largest master suite is blissfully comfortable. During our weekend stay, we had no shortage of activities in the daytime -- hiking in nearby Inks Lake State Park, enjoying scenic drives in the area, and antiquing in nearby Marble Falls and Kingsland. We heartily recommend this LBJ Lake getaway to any other weekend traveler searching for a quiet, quality place to stay.

              Why the Owner Chose Burnet:
We have camped at Inks Lake State Park since the kids were babies. We love the area just below Inks Dam and above the rocks since it is so quiet and peaceful. The fishing is amazing as is the birding. There are so many things to do in and around the area, including antiquing, hiking, exploring, caving, rock hunting and almost any other outdoor activity you can imagine. We spent over a year renovating the downstairs and we think you will find it as wonderful as we do.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The fishing is amazing, especially during the white bass run in early spring. You can fish for striped bass when the water is released from Inks Lake and black bass, catfish, perch and crappie year round. One of the unique features of the property are the large rocks in the water which are great for climbing on and sunning and the way the water changes from still to rushing during the periodic releases from the dam at Inks Lake just 1 mile upstream. The other unique feature is the natural granite pond between the house and the lake which we are currently restoring.
