This place was perfect for the 6 of us! The bedrooms and bathrooms were large and beautifully decorated. The kitchen, although it could use a little TLC, was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils so we didn't have to wash all the time. We loved sitting in the living room or the patio and watching the ocean or people traveling the sidewalk/bike path just up from the beach. One of our favorite things to do was go down to the beach after dinner and walk in the waves. In the morning we'd have coffee on the patio and let the kids run in the grassy yard just outside the door, often feeding the chickens and counting the baby chicks. The resort is close to lots of shopping and places to eat!! We loved being able to just set out without worrying about driving and finding parking. There's also a grocery store within walking distance. We spent time in the pool and hot tub and even rented snorkeling gear from the lobby when we went to Hidden Beach. Feeding the fish in the pond was also another favorite - along with counting the frogs that came out at night under the lights in the mini-golf areas. Apart from the resort, we rented bikes from the bike shop across the street and rode up the path along the shore line. It was wonderful and a very easy ride even for the young ones. We also did hiking and kayaking and more shopping at the Coconut Shopping Mall. We would definitely stay here again! There is a lot to keep you busy right at the resort but it is also a very quiet place to just kick back and relax.

We had a great time. The location is very convienient to the town and boardwalk along the beach. I suggest a car rental because there's so much more to see around the island. Waimea Canyon is a must-see!! The rental unit had everything that we needed, plus we enjoyed several of the restaurants in town. We were repeat customers at the Ono Family Restaurant, about two blocks away. The unit was clean, well maintained, and well stocked with many extra items. The grounds were pleasant as well. No alarm needed...the rooster comes by early to help you wake up. We felt that the unit was as advertised, and we would positively stay there again if we ever get back to Kauai.
