Coral Reef Treat offers a fabulous family retreat that will indulge you in the ultimate Outer Banks experience. And you are welcome to bring the family dog on your beach vacation. Your family will have memories to cherish for years to come. Relax on one of our covered decks or the ocean facing screen porch, lounge by the pool or take the short walk to one of the cleanest and most beautiful stretches of beach, close to the National Reserve land where the famous wild horses abound. Occasionally the wild horses escape the bounds of the reserve and find there way to the front yard as shown in the picture.
This home has been lovingly and meticulously designed for all the comforts of home to make your vacation relaxing and peaceful. It is set on a half acre lot with a full size volleyball court, a basketball half court in the front of the house and parking spaces for 7-8 vehicles. This home features a large great room and spacious gourmet kitchen with cathedral ceilings and plenty of large windows to view the surrounding natural beauty. The spacious kitchen is well stocked, beautifully laid out with 2 dishwashers and 2 full size sinks. The three master bedrooms (3 kings with attached bath), plus four additional bedrooms with sleeping for sixteen, make this a perfect vacation home for 3 to 4 families. There is a lower level recreation room with a full size pool table and foos ball table, spectator chairs/ table, wet bar with freestanding ice maker, microwave and TV/DVD and stereo system with outdoor speakers. All conveniently located off the pool deck to make snacking and drinks close by. The extensive decking affords many seating areas, including a hammock on the mid-level deck and Adirondack chairs on the top deck for watching spectacular sunsets. This spacious home offers lots of room for privacy!
The back of the house welcomes you with a large 14x36’ pool and a 6-8 person spa. The pool deck, located just off the recreation room, has 4 cushioned lounge chairs, 2-tables, 8-chairs and 3-10’ market umbrellas (not shown in the picutures). Beach equipment and bikes are provided in an outdoor guest shed, including a Rolleze Beach cart to help with taking all the necessities to the beach. Bikes, Beach chairs, umbrellas and beach cart are provided for your convenience.
We offer numerous extras to make your stay comfortable. The house is supplied with bath linens for each guest and beds made upon arrival. There are 9 color TVs, 4 DVDs, 2 stereos, surround sound and outdoor speakers along with internet access and free long distance calls within the continental US.

Beautifully furnished home with a top notch "cooks" kitchen that is totally equipped with all cooking accessories, dishes, glassware, pots/pans, appliances, etc;and other amenities a plenty!. All that is needed are personal items. It's our family favorite vacation spot -- highly recommended!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have rented this house for two years in a row, and can't wait to return again. The house is very clean and well maintained. There is loads to do without even leaving the property, even if it's raining. Between the beach being so close, the pool, the hot tub, the pool table, there is always some way to relax and enjoy the sun. We have stayed in other properties that are old and worn out that does not make for a confortable stay. You can tell the owner of this house treats like it is there own live in home. Nice furnishings, up to date decor and the small things that really make a difference. The only thing I do not like is I HAVE TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We've spent a week at Coral Reef Treat for the past three summers...It is, without doubt, the most spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and welcoming beach home you can imagine. The owners have taken special care to provide an incredible kitchen with specially-purchased utensils, dishes, glassware, etc., so that your meal preparation and your dining experience will enhance your vacation. Everything in this home has been chosen with the utmost care---there is no junk, and no garage-sale items. King size beds in several rooms provide the utmost in comfort for the adults in your party. The kids have comfortable rooms, too! Bathrooms are spotlessly clean and plentiful. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and clean. The beach is very convenient as a five minute walk or a 30 second bike ride! I could live in this house all year round for the rest of my life!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Highly recommend this rental for it's close proximity to the beach and fabulous amenities! First class kitchen with all the extras. Well stocked for gourmet cooking! Backyard pool the crowning touch! My family and I have stayed here 2 years in a row and will return again this year. The home has EVERYTHING! and is extremely well maintained. It is obvious from the additional icemaker, wifi, pool table, foosball table and small additionals in the house that alot of planning and thought went into furnishing this large comfortable home. nice size pool and hot tub are 3 steps out the back door. The kids loved the horses on the beach that are about 2 miles up the road. Beautiful, flat, uncrowded beach was also a hit with everyone. My favorite was my morning run past the lighthouse and on the beach. I spend 200 days a year travelling and appreciate all the "creature comforts" available. Thanks and great job on the home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My Husband and I were both born and raised in the Northeast and we each grew up less than an hour from the shore. The shore for my husband was Narragansett, RI and for me Atlantic City, NJ. When we finally settled in VA, after my husband’s long military career, it was our dream to build a beach house. We began our search for the land in 2000 and by June of 2005 we had our completed beach home. As with every journey it was a bumpy road. In January 2001, I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time. It slowed down the dream of owning a beach home but I recovered and put the cancer behind me with the help and support of hundreds, if not thousands, of people praying for me around the world. Being in the military we know many people in many places that supported us with many prayers. In Feb 2005, in the middle of making preparations to take possession of our beautiful beach home in April, my cancer was back. But I am not one to be slowed down. Fighting through the nausea I continued the process of purchasing furnishings for the home. I had already been shopping for 8 months and two rooms in my house were bulging and the garage was next. As with many builders the finish date began to slip, we finally took possession on June 1. Our first renters were due in the house on July 1, 2005. One had one month to completely furnish a new house with all the extra amenities as it stands today. We are truly blessed with the best family and friends because if it was not for them we never could have finished the monumental task in 30 days. The property manager complemented us on a job well done. She had never seen a house come together so fast in the short time. That was the moment that I knew we had achieved our dream and now we share our dream home with you, if you choose to stay with us.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Hill:
We went to the outer banks of North Carolina for the first time in 1997. We were amazed at how different the beaches are from the northern beaches and how less crowded too. We choose the Corolla area for the beautiful views, proximity to the ocean and the occasional wild horse sighting.
