Enjoy this beautiful, privately owned, 2nd row family home, built in 2008 and tucked away in Morehead City’s nicest Sound front neighborhood. This home is situated in a very relaxing setting with wonderful neighbors and is located just across a neighborhood street from a very secluded sandy beach area and calm Sound waters. Do you have a boat? If so, you have the option to pull your boat up to the shore and drop anchor. With a large public boat dock only 2 blocks away, that handles small and large boats (trailer parking is also available), you can have fun tubing, water skiing, or hydro-sliding (water equipment for such activities are not provided - consult a local Marina or surf shop for rental option availability) right in front of the beach area or hit the Ocean inlet in less than 5 minutes!
Special features of the home include: 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 3-story with 2 level-covered porches facing the Sound with wonderful views of the Sound and sunset. Open concept living; gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, dining room/seats 8+, living room with lots of seating-all with lots of windows offering great views. Area under the house is paved for private parking, available storage with a bathroom and elevator access. Elevator allows access to all floors and is great for loading and unloading as well as moving guests from floor to floor. No need to lug your belongings up endless flights of stairs; unless of course you want to. Washer/Dryer, Cable TV, Heat/AC, swing set in fenced yard area, picnic table and gas grill are additional amenities you can enjoy at this property. Circle drive in front of the house allows for additional private off-road parking.
Things to do: Nearby within 5-10 minutes or by boat; go shopping or enjoy great restaurants in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City or Beaufort. Visit the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, Beaufort Maritime Museum, Crystal Coast Jamboree Theatre, Fort Macon Park or Beaufort Historical District. Take a day trip to Ocracoke Island by ferry and visit some of Blackbeard's haunts or take a boat ride and spend the day at Cape Lookout National Seashore; the deserted island that boasts the diamond shoals lighthouse and a herd of the spectacular wild Shackleford ponies. Charter a fishing boat (in-shore or off-shore), surf fishing, rent a jet ski and Marinas nearby; to name a few! You can also stroll the neighborhood sidewalks for a morning walk or run, ride bikes (not provided), or relax on the porch for an evening sunset. Whatever you decide to do while you visit the Crystal Coast; ENJOY!
Here are some of the advantages Morehead City's Sound offers:
- There are more restaurants, grocery stores and shopping in this area
- Less traffic (especially around holidays the bridge to get to and from Atlantic Beach can be extremely congested)
- No need to fight parking over here!
- Waters are calm and perfect for the younger tots, surf fishing (equipment not provided) or just relaxing on your float (not provided)
- Peaceful and secluded beach area where you don't have to fight for sand space at the overcrowded beaches or be bothered by others
- You can anchor your boat right off the beach and the waters are perfectly calm for tubing, water skiing, and hydro-sliding (water equipment for such activities are not provided - consult a local Marina or surf shop for rental option availability); to name a few
So, go ahead, what are you waiting for! Call or email today to reserve this gorgeous, private owned home.
