We had a very enjoyable stay at the riverfront house. We came to Florida for a family reunion. This was the perfect place for us to stay. Having the dock and a canoe was such a bonus. The river is just so beautiful. There was plenty of space for everyone and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool every night after being out and about. Location to Busch gardens and grocery stores, and airport was great! Loved sitting in the backyard and just listening to the birds and enjoying the scenery! Would definitely recommend this property for your vacation needs. Liz was always easy to reach and so helpful with any questions I had, and was just so nice to deal with. I would rent from her again without hesitation. Thanks Liz for everything!!

My meeting was downtown Tampa and it wouldve been more convenient for me and my staff to stay in a nice hotel downtown. But perhaps the best part of our 4 day trip was relaxing at the beautiful spacious home. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood with a park alongside the river. The neighborhood is also close to all of the restaurants, pharmaicies, supermarket you could think of. It was just really nice to take a walk around the block. I got a really good feel for Tampa, and I am already ready to come back! If you rent this home, you will be 100% satisfied.

House was beautiful and area was quiet, just what we all needed after a day of convention meetings. We especially liked the large living room where we could all discuss the different meetings we had attended. There were plenty of places to eat in the area. Our only problem was that two of the three baths were en-suite and the washer was on one floor and the drier was two levels down. The back yard was beautiful and the dock down by the river was very relaxing. Linens were a little sparse and we had to go on a scavenger hunt for sheets for the single beds and face cloths.

We recently stayed here through the Christmas Break and found it to be wonderful for our four children, my mother and brother, eight people. The backyard is beautiful with the river in the back and canoeing was awesome. The house and pool area were beautiful with a great kitchen for cooking with lots of helpers. The close proximity to Bush Gardens was also convenient as we went several times with our passes. Liz was very accomodating with answering questions and making special arrangements for us despite the busy Christmas season. We also had a small dog with us and the fenced in backyard was great. There are great walking trails in this area as well.

Our family of 8 adults and 4 small children spent Christmas 2012 at this wonderful home! We celebrated a birthday and Christmas during our stay! Liz, the owner was marvelous to work with and made the reservation process so easy. She returned my calls and emails with questions I had before our stay, almost immediately. When asked if there was a crock pot in the kitchen, she brought one over before our stay! The property has a perfect layout for entertaining with the kitchen opening to the spacious family room. Most of the bedrooms are on the other side of the house and away from kitchen and activities which was perfect for little ones "naps." We love to cook so prepared all of our meals at the house, and the kitchen easily accommodates more than one chef :-) It is well stocked with everything you will need. The dining room has a large table and comfortable chairs which served our many dinners and our evening wine tasting. Sweet Bay grocery store is so convenient, as is the Dollar store for anything you might need. The guys appreciated having the outdoor TV to enjoy while watching sports events and having the outdoor bar/fridge handy as well. We mostly used the hot tub. Outdoor temps were too cold for little ones to swim. It was a cold week by FL standards, and switching to heat on the house thermostat at night was easy and worked well. The backyard is large and extends to a pier where we fished. Everyone took turns taking out the canoe on the river and we played lots of outdoor family games in the yard. Liz's son has a fishing charter business,"Captain Dane" and we hired him to take us out on Christmas eve day! Highly recommend it! Great neighborhood for walks and several nice playground parks for little ones too. I could go on.... but will end by saying my entire family said they want to come back to THIS house, when we do this again!! You will love your stay here as much as we did!

WOW!!!!! THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL HOME AND A WELL NEEDED GETAWAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. THE RIVER BEHIND THE HOME HAS THE ATMOSPHERE OF FLOATING THRU TREES IN THE LOUISIANA BAYOU. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! THE HOME WAS STOCK WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING AND ONLY A FEW MILES FROM BUSCH GARDENS. THE HOT TUB AND POOL WERE AMAZING AFTER A LONG DAY CANOEING OR AT THE PARK. THANK YOU LIZ FOR GIVING US YOUR HOME FOR A WEEK. WE HAD A FANTASTIC STAY AND WE WILL BE BACK :)

Our stay this weekend was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend for a girls weekend because of all the space... it was easy for us all to get ready and the pool/hot tub on the patio was a perfect spot to unwind and catch up. The house is very close to the grocery store, restaurants, mall, AT&T store, etc. and was a short drive to Tampa. We shopped at Publix and CVS, had pizza from Papa Johns and ordered appetizers from Chili's. Also, very close by is Gaspar's Bar & Grill that had karaoke, pool tables, dart boards and a full bar. Everything was very convenient! We called cabs for our night out and it was about $32 (one way) from the house to Hyde Park. We traveled to Anna Maria Island for our beach day because we were more familiar with that beach.. it was about an hour and 15 min away. Just a perfect location! The house itself is stocked with pretty much anything you might need... tape, scissors... just little things that made a difference when flying in and not having certain things you normally wouldn't think about. The key difference in choosing this property was working with Liz. She was so, so professional and kind... I felt like I was talking to my aunt or a good friend. She truly cares about her guests and was always very quick to respond to any questions I had before and during my trip. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone interested in staying in the Tampa area and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for a great trip, Liz!

I wanted to just say a few things about our most recent trip and stay at the Riverhouse in Tampa. We had a group of guys doing a "MEN'S" weekend of Seminoles and Redskins along with a trip to the Seminole Hard Rock for gambling. The place could not have been better! From the spacious layout of the house and great outdoor kitchen and TV along with hottub and what I would describe as the most elaborate masterbathroom shower I have ever seen. Comes with LED lighting, music and more shower heads than I could count! Now factor in the canoe and dock along the river and a backyard plenty big enough for a wiffel ball game and we were set. The location also plays a big part of the home as your very close to the stadium, hard rock, Ybor city and great places to eat.

My organization decided to rent out a large house in Tampa for the Republican Convention due to the lack of hotel availability. We found a gem with the Lang's home on the Hillsborough River. Liz was fantastic and extremely flexible and accommodating towards us and our needs for the week. The location was just a short drive from downtown, the house had an amazing plethora of amenities to keep us occupied when we weren't at the events. Liz did a great job of orienting us to the area and was able to work with us even with our ever changing travel plans due to Hurricane Isaac. I would recommend this to anyone looking to secure a unique place in Tampa for personal or professional purposes. I will certainly look up Liz the next time I head for Tampa.

What a fantastic week in a beautiful, well-kept, and well-stocked home! Every member of our party had an incredible time! My husband and I brought along my parents and adult siblings creating a party of seven adults plus our six dogs. We arrived late in the evening after a 15 hour drive but were able to quickly unwind in the home’s soothing atmosphere. A flyer for late night pizza delivery left in a visible location made our first dinner a breeze. The three car garage and circular driveway provided plenty of parking. The four bedrooms contained a surprising amount of personal space and comfortable bedding. Between the 3.5 bathrooms there was plenty of room for everybody to get ready quickly without tripping over one another and we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was well supplied and had all the conveniences necessary for cooking dinners and a birthday cake. The outdoor kitchen, patio, and pool area provided such a lovely gathering place to socialize; we never used the large and attractive dining room. The adjacent living room contained plenty of seating for relaxing in a cool air conditioned setting after a day in the sun. The wireless internet was great for looking up nearby attractions and checking email, etc. and the trundle beds provided comfortable seating although we didn’t need them for sleeping. While the backyard was not completely fenced in, it was very large and full of greenery and wildlife so the dogs had an exceptional time exploring and were easy to keep contained. The dock on the Hillsborough River overlooked picturesque scenery and provided a tranquil place for some quiet time. Amenities such as restaurants and stores were just a few minutes away along with an astounding array of nearby attractions. We had an excellent time at Busch Gardens amusement park which was close enough we could run home for lunch during Tampa’s afternoon showers. We also spent time at Clearwater Beach and one day drove to Orlando to enjoy Seaworld’s Aquatica and Universal Studio’s Islands of Adventure. Liz was friendly and always available, and immediately responded to any questions we had. She even returned an expensive item that was inadvertently left behind. I truly felt this was money well spent and would gladly recommend this property to anyone!

We arrived on a Thursday much later than expected due to flight delays. Little did we know this would just be one of many challenges during our week long stay. The house was a welcome retreat after such a long day of travel. I traveled with my husband, 17 yr old son and my elderly parents both in their 80's. Later to be joined by my brother, wife, 2 yr old daughter, and my other son and his wife, and my 30 yr old son. The house was beautiful and all that is described. Very well maintained, beautiful surroundings. The kitchen, pool area, and family room is where we enjoyed spending most of our time. The kitchen is a cooks dream kitchen. I put out many meals here. All items you need are present. The only item I wished I had was a small food processor for chopping vegetables. I cooked a lot and use a lot of fresh vegi's. Also the blender needs to be replaced as it did not work. All other items were readily available. I brought spices with me but found most of what I needed already supplied. Plenty of dishes if you choose to use. My parents enjoyed the built in checker board outside in the pool and enclosed patio area. They spent hours there. My sons explored the great outdoors where there is much wildlife on this beautiful property. On Sunday a tropical storm rolled in and we lost power. I contacted Liz who was so helpful in making sure those who needed to be contacted to restore power were. Power was restored but we again lost it.We decided to get out once the storm got calmer. I asked Liz for suggestions, she offered many and even arranged to have tickets waiting at one of the sights. I credit Liz for saving our vacation. We had a great time at all the places she suggested. My 17 yr old went on to say Universal Mall was the best mall he ever shopped at and wants to return to shop for his senior year of school. Three flight delays later we finally arrived home. I stayed in contact with Liz through texting during all of it. I consider her the friend I never met and connected with during the week. Liz was right when she told me at the start of all of the planning that I would be the hit of our family reunion if I rented her home. Liz thanks for sharing your home and being so helpful and resourceful during our stay.

This is a very nice place that can hold a lot of people comfortably. Great set up. The best feature of the house is the patio area - very nice hot tub, pool, and outdoor bar/kitchen. There is a river with a canoe and fishing gear in the backyard. There is a park in the neighborhood too. The owners take good care of the place and communicated with me in a timely manner. If you are coming to Tampa, I'd recommend staying here.

We rented Tampa Riverhome for 5 nights and used it as a central gathering place for family during my brother's wedding weekend. The house was more than enough room and had everything you need to entertain guests- it was exactly what was reflected in the vrbo.com description and more. My 3 year old did not leave the spa/pool area while others enjoyed canoeing/fishing on the river and looking at all the wildlife around which included FOUR bald eagles that were simultaneously flying just over the backyard. We also saw plenty of huge owls, herons, egrets, and other birds I don't even know the names of. The alligator and raccoon sighting were a plus. Excellent space inside the home with a MONSTER master bedroom and 3 bedrooms downstairs. There is another room off of the living room with 2 more trundle beds as well. The inside kitchen was used often as was the outside kitchen. Plenty of space in the garage for 3 vehicles though only one was parked there during our stay. Overall, the property was very clean and well-kept. Liz, the owner was great at responding and following up with us before, during, and after our stay. My family and I look forward to our next visit to Tampa- we'll definitely stay here again. A couple of places we enjoyed there were Clearwater Marine Aquarium (home of Winter, the dolphin whom my daughter is infatuated with), and the Lowry Park Tampa Zoo.

Owner response: It was a pleasure having such a great group like this at our Riverhome! Thanks for leaving the house in such good order. We are looking forward to your return next year! How exciting seeing the Bald Eagles!!! Liz Lang

Eight adult males rented this home for a four day weekend, which included the Frozen Four and lots of golf. The owner (Liz) was extremely professional. The rental process went off without any issues. The house was ready for us when we arrived. It was clean and well cared for. There was a great deal of space (approx 3800 sf). The kitchen was large and extremely functional. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The pool and hot tub both came as advertised. The pool area and outdoor bar were both very enjoyable. There is a river and dock at the back of the property which was very cool. Good place to sit and watch nature while having a beer or two. The neighbors were extremely nice people and the neighborhood was safe. If you are planning to be in the Tampa area, this is the house for you. Each of us would certainly rent the home again, if or when in the Tampa area. For the golfers, there is a course in the neighorhood which looked quite nice. However, it you are looking to play an enjoyable course, I suggest Summerfield Crossing in Riverside FL, which is about 20 minutes away. Very reasonable prices, challenging slope and a great staff. If you rent this house, you won't be disappointed.

My family and I had the wonderful experience of staying at this riverfront home. The three generations all loved the house, the yard and the river view. This house is a comfortable, lovely home. Playng in the pool and spa added so much fun to our stay. The children absolutely loved the whole place. The large lanai area provides tables and an outdoor kitchen. Every room was comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and a pleasure to work in. The view from the dock is a bit like a fairy tale. The cypress trees, the spanish moss and the multitude of birds invite you just to be still. We took canoe rides. and enjoyed the views in every direction. The location of this home is perfect for going to Busch Gardens, downtown Tampa and the beaches. I feel like the owner Liz is my friend. She is caring and friendly. Liz and her husband focus on making sure the house runs smoothly, and on meeting the needs of her guests. We plan on renting the house again on our next vacation to Florida.

The home was everything it was billed as. We had all bedrooms filled for a week and added one on the study for half that time. And we used the house as a central gathering place for an extended family of 16. Plenty of room. Best part was the Florida room where we just enjoyed each other and celebrated Thanksgiving. Inside Kitchen was a "workplace" for up to 6 "cooks", and the ourtside Kitchen refridgerator was able to hold sufficient "liquids" for the group. Added attraction was the large back lawn with river access via the available canoe - while there were multiple attempts we failed to located the illusive Florida gator, but they got to be out there. Liz was easy to connect with and very accomodating - up to and including the unorthodox cooking request - a pit in the back yard for a Thanksgiving pig :). No issues with the house other than a city trash pickup schedule that couldn't keep up with the trash from 16 people eating and those Florida room liquids. (Not really a problem as there was plenty of garage space for trash bags.) We didn't check out much of the area ammenities (Busch Garden 3 miles away) other than the close by grocery stores. But 20 mins to downtown and the airport. If you're looking to accomodate a large group - this home works super. Enjoy
