I have used VRBO around the world and rented numerous houses. This is by far one of the best properties I have stayed in. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The space is perfect for a large family gathering. Lots of room to spread out, but great living and dining room space when you want to be together. The beds are very comfortable and the screen porch is a little slice of heaven. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with everything from cookware, to spices, to big mugs for morning coffee. While the property is pretty far from everything, we planned meals and food well in advance and only had to make one run to the grocery store. The quiet and solitude is well worth the drive. Terri is very easy to work with and is very responsive. We are booking now for next year!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We have a group of 10 guys who go on a "fishing trip" annually. This is our 3rd year to go to Smith Lake. This was our favorite property yet. We had enough beds for each guy to have a bed plus one on a couch. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen has everthing you would need. The house would be great for 2 to 3 families. The walk to the lake was easy. The boat dock was good. The master bedroom has the Taj Mahol of bathrooms in it. The game room with a pool table and extra kitchen was great. The Crutchfields were easy to deal with and reachable. We hope to book this for next's years trip as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

I rented the house for weekend getaway with 10 friends we had the best weekend. The house was amazing! We had more than enough room for everyone. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Pictures on the VRBO listing does not even begin to show everything this house has to offer. We have already made plans to return next year. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Terry & David, my children & grand children are ready to return next year to your beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our annual get together. The lake was great for boating & pulling the kids on the tubes, & the swimming hole by the pier could not have been better for them to enjoy. My grandson even caught some nice blue gill's off the boat dock. Your home is beautiful & very roomy, so we had plenty of sleeping beds for all. We used the grill for a cookout, & also did "Smores" one night on the outside fire pit, which all the kids, big & little enjoyed. This is the first home we've rented, where none of us wanted to leave to go sight seeing, just stayed there. Looking forward to booking next year, thanks again for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a great time at your property! The house exceeded our expectations! The grand family room with the fabulous fireplace and chandelier was fabulous! We loved the layout of the kitchen and dining area where you could talk and cook at the same time! The pictures of the house do not do it justice. We would higly recommend this property to others. We had 5 families stay and we felt perfectly comfortable with plenty of room for us all to have our own space. We had 6 teenage boys and they had a blast. This home is well worth it and we all look forward to going back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We had a wonderful week long stay at your house. The home was more beautiful and spacious than the pictures depicted. The event was for a birthday party and included guests from 70 years old to a 2 year old and the house was perfect for everyone. The stereo system was great - we were able to plug in our Ipod and listen to music inside or outside or by the water all day long. The bedrooms and bathrooms were huge and very impressive. The basement area had plenty of space to use if the weather didn't cooperate, but we spent most of our time in the water. Thank you Terry for making the logistics of renting your home easy - it actually was so simple (even with my request for an extension on our time) that I was expecting something to fall apart, but of course everything went as planned. I wish we lived closer to take advantage of your home more often.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Spent a 3 night stay in April 2011 and found the home very comfortable for 7 old guys. The weather did not cooperate but the amenities in the home did. The kitchen was furnished with all items required to cook two great meals. I recommend it and with a large group will stay again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband rented this beautiful home for my 40th birthday getaway. We were accompanied by 13 adults. The house was VERY spacious and clean. The décor was excellent. Loved the master bath, screened in patio, kitchen….the whole house!!! The house sits on a perfect “level” spot for viewing the lake…no hills to climb! We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave…Thank you Terry(David) for your hospitality and renting out your lovely home….Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great Thanksgiving with extended family members in this lovely home. Between the large kitchen table and outdoor table there was plenty of area for eating and conversation. The weather was perfect and with the water low we were able to walk along the rocks and really enjoy the scenery even in late fall. This made wonderful holiday memories.
