Sea Spirit is a VERY private 600-sq foot cottage superbly located on top of a dramatic cliff with sweeping ocean views and great breezes. Your privacy is ensured by National Park surroundings. It has some of the best hush-hush snorkeling at the front of the house that exists on island... caves, live reefs and ultramarine blue drop offs with rays and dolphins. There is a resident spotted eagle ray at the front of the house. From its unique location you can walk to 2 pristine beaches. Kiddle Bay is very Maine-like with large flat stones that crackle at night, becoming sandy on one side. The other is Grootpan Bay and tends to be empty. If there is ever anyone there, it tends to be a nude beach. It is a mix of sand, small pebbles and coral. Both bays offer awesome snorkeling.
A short drive takes you to either Salt Pond Beach or the Lameshuur bays. Your constant companions are the umbrella of stars at night, the smell of salt air and the sounds of the wind and the waves and the occasional deer grazing in the yard. The restaurants and shopping amenities of Coral Bay are only minutes away, though you might prefer enjoying the deck. It won’t be long before your biggest worry is opting for sunset drinks at Sea Spirit or at one of the local eateries, stargazing while relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying the musical scene in Coral Bay.
What’s no dilemma is our rates, we challenge anybody to procure such an experience as Sea Spirit for the price. Such a well-appointed cottage in such a one-of-a-kind location simply can’t be compared to any other St John house. Should you go for the Sea Spirit experience, you have to be warned: you’ll be back!

My husband and I spent 10 days at Sea Spirit in Coral Bay in April 2013. This is the fourth consecutive year we have been to St. John. Coral Bay is the dessert of St. John.....Sea Spirit is the icing on that dessert. I became attached to the "sugar birds" and the resident outside cats. The online pictures of the house do not do it justice. View is amazing! It is the perfect getaway for a couple. Best sleeping atmosphere. Kittle Bay and Groupon Bay were great for snorkeling. No other people there. I could go on and on.....walked to Little Lamshur beach (a little further than we thought).....purchased bird feeder like the one on the deck from a local vendor on the road...ate several times at Aqua Bistro, but most meals were on the deck...all-day sail on Long Distance - Robin and Rick awesome!!! We will certainly be returning. Thank you Terry!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and i just returned from 7 days at Sea Spirit. Those 7 days are the best days of vacation we have spent in the last 20 years. I can't say enough about Terry and the accomodations. Every morning I would open up the front doors and just simply marvel at the view we had. If you are looking for a remote villa with the most incredible views and the peace and quiet we all need from time to time, do not hesitate to book this. We are already trying to figure out how we can get back soon. Terry, you have a special place and we thank you soo much for allowing us to enjoy it. Also, for the couple who have it this week, enjoy the free beverages we left you :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We spent our honeymoon at Sea Spirit and had the time of our lives! The privacy was unparalleled and view of the ocean outstanding. The pictures truly reflect this well-maintained house and grounds. The local goats, donkeys and iguanas made for much enjoyment. Kiddell Bay was about a 4 minute walk and was very private. Other beaches were just minutes by jeep and beautiful. The short drive to "town" was easy and only took about 15 minutes. We really enjoyed eating at Aqua Bistro, Miss Lucy's, Donkey Diner and The Tourist Trap during our stay. Sea Spirit does not disappoint! Highly recommend if privacy is important.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

About the owner: Sea Spirit found me. When I walked onto this deck for the first time in my life I sat there for hours and watched the stars and moon shining on the sea. I felt a sea of spirit and not only knew that this house had captured me, but there was no doubt about its name, it was Sea Spirit. The healing quality of this little gem never failed me ever since. I know for sure that every new guest to Sea Spirit gets the same suckerpunch when he/she walks that deck. I hope you will enjoy this experience, too!
