Set on a quiet resort situated on a private lake in beautiful Cape Cod, this new Ideal Cottage is a great vacation cottage to accommodate you and your family (sleeps up to one family comfortably). With 2 bedrooms (a Queen bedroom and bunk room with one bunk bed), 1.5 baths, a sleeping loft (with a full size bed and twin bed – great for kids!), a cozy living and full kitchen area with a stone fireplace and sofa bed that pulls out into a twin, screened porch with patio furniture, personal BBQ grill and LCD TVs with DVD, you will find yourself on a comfortable and pleasantly convenient vacation.
Our charming cottage is comparable to the size of a hotel suite but holds a higher sleeping capacity, is complete with a kitchen (all cookware, dinnerware and utensils are included) and serves as a more “home-like” environment. Nestled inside a combined cottage and camping resort, you can enjoy the solitude of having a cottage of your own, spare an extra expense by dining in, relax with central air and heating and enjoy our well-kept and delightful interior décor.

Rented this cottage with 5 friends for a long weekend Pros: Lovely little place, very neat and well maintained. The furniture seemed brand new and the whole place was in top shape. Cons: It was far too small for 6 adults. It might be good for a family of 4 or 5 with little kids. My friends and I kept banging our head and feet when trying to crawl in and out of the loft. The mattress was quite uncomfortable as well. And there was only lukewarm water in the shower. One thing that I found very disconcerting was that the main bedroom opened directly into the restroom, there was no wall or door separating the two. Am not sure if this is normal for such cottages, but I simply could not use the restroom due to this reason. All in all, this is a very nice cottage for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a small family with little kids. The surroundings are very peaceful and the lake is a 5 minute walk away. It is just far too small for more than 2 adults to stay and the open restroom is a definite letdown.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I booked this cottage in June 2011. The perfect getaway for the family before the school year started. I had 4 teenage girls and my mother with me. When I originally booked it, the wording about not being able to stand in the loft was not in the description, I assume someone before me complained. The children made due and were fine with it. The mattresses in the bunk room were terribly uncomfortable...we just rearranged after the first night. This particular cottage is as far from the activities within the park as you can possibly get so when the children did want to do something I had to drive them. All of those small things aside this cottage is clean, well maintained and adorable. The view was amazing....it was peaceful...the screened in porch was wonderful to sit and just relax and enjoy the surroundings....no bugs !!! I would definatley rent the cottage again....Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
