  We stayed here for the Cooper River Bridge Run weekend, and it was wonderful. The villa is beautiful, with the boardwalk to the ocean just outside the back porch. This is a pet-friendly villa, but it does not have a "pet friendly" feel, and that's meant as a compliment. It is lovely, tasteful, with beautiful furnishings. Our family of three was very comfortable here. It's a one-bedroom, but the pull-out sofa is very comfortable. And it has two full bathrooms, which makes it very easy to manage. We watched dolphins play every time we went to the beach. Lois was great to work with, and was prompt with all communications. Thanks for a wonderful long weekend!

• Seabrook Island is perfect

  My wife and I just got back from a long weekend for our anniversary and we couldn't have had a more peaceful relaxing time. We went during the spring and the weather never got above 75 degrees...it was perfect as I have never been one for roasting in the sun all day. The room was fantastic and the view was incredible. Lois was super easy to deal with and everything went off without a hitch. The door key even worked the 1st time without me having to hunt someone down to re-magnatize it!! Imagine that.. If you like huge crowds, loud music, wild teenagers, getting an airbrush T-shirt, mini golf or doing jello shooters at a night club Seabrook probably isn't your thing. But if you like a nice quiet beach, friendly people, romance and relaxation this is definitely your place. Be sure and eat at the Red Sky Grill...we ate there every night we were in town because the food was so good it didn't make any sense to risk it going somewhere else. The best food I've ever had. I can go on and on about the whole Island but take my word for it, you will enjoy yourself tremendously.

  We enjoyed our visit. The villa is a distance from the front gate but it is worth the drive. The sunsets were as pretty as the picture. The villa was very clean. We had one minor issue and the repair person was there in 30 minutes. We were worried about having 4 people there with one bedroom but it worked fine. The second bath having a shower was a big help. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and visiting with the friendly neighbors as they went by on the boardwalk. The beach was a short distance down the boardwalk. We can not think of anything we needed that the villa did not have for us. The owner was very easy to work with and always quick to respond.

  If you want a cozy little place right by a quiet beach, this is the place to be! My sister, baby nephew, and I had plenty of room with the bedroom, 2 bath and sofabed, and we really enjoyed our week's stay. The house was very clean and comfortably furnished; we felt right at home. The deck was perfect for sunset dinners or a peaceful morning cup of coffee. It was wonderful to be able to bring along my little poodle... it was a joy to see her curiosity and to take morning walks with her on the firmly packed, dog-friendly beach! We even saw a dolphin one morning... beautiful! There weren't tons of shells to take home, but this beach more than made up for it with its quiet, uncrowded, and natural beauty. Freshfields village was super-convenient and lots and lots of fun (wonderful independent bookstore and great shops and restaurants), a day trip to Charleston and a peek at the Angel Oak tree on John's Island are musts! Lois was great, very easy to work with, as was Bev, who conducted our pet inspection. Everyone we encountered in Seabrook was incredibly friendly and made our stay a wonderful one. Highly recommended.

  We returned from Seabrook on Sunday. It was one of the best vacations we've ever had. Your condo was perfect--clean, updated and so comfortable. We couldn’t believe the wonderful views and easy access to the beach. We saw dolphins, lots of pelicans and deer. We made a bunch of dinner reservations in Charleston before the trip, but ended up canceling most of them so that we could stay on the island. The restaurants and shopping in Freshfields and at the Marina were wonderful. We never had a bad meal! Bev was really nice and made the pet inspection easy. The entire check in/check out process was a breeze. Thank you again, we are already looking forward to our next visit!

  We just got back from a wonderful week at Seabrook Island! The villa is perfect for a small family or couple and very well appointed with everything you would need! It looks just like the pictures. It was well maintained and very clean when we arrived. Lois was very sweet and was alway quick to respond when I had questions etc. We were there during shoulder season so it was very quiet and we were literally the only people on the beach at times! It was fantastic!! On your way in and out of the private road you will see deer so close it's almost scary! The newly built Fairfield Village is really cute! There is a market there...a bit over priced but very nice! I highly recommend La Tela Pizzeria it's fantastic and well priced with a friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends! The only thing that is a drag is the "amenity card" issue. After paying for a week or whatever you have to pay EXTRA to use the pool or onsite bar/grill? Seems a bit ridiculous. We paid but the bar/grill was closed all week and we only ended up going to the pool twice. Pretty lame. Other than that it was a great time!

It is regrettable that the Pelican Nest restaurant was closed but the dining facilities at the Seabrook Island Club were open and available. Because of their disappointing experience I split the cost with them and issued a refund. I hope they will consider a return visit. LC

  We just got back yesterday and would go back tomorrow. The sunsets are spectacular! The island is perfectly manicured and so quiet. We have stayed at Kiawah 12 times before and love Seabrook just as much. Mrs. Camealy is just wonderful to work with and her home is lovely. The back deck provides a perfect location to sit and watch the ocean. One of the most relaxing trips we have ever been on and will certainly visit again and again. Easiest check-in we've experienced.

  I have been vacationing on the beach near Charleston for 10 years. I have been to Seabrook Island at least 3 times. I love Pelican Watch because of the water views and the beach access. This unit has unobstructed view of the ocean and the Edisto River. Beach access is literally just off the deck. By far, this unit was the nicest I've rented in all of those years. The unit has been updated and maintained. All of the appliances were new. The bed was great for sleeping. Several wonderful spots to curl up with a book. The kitchen had all of the cookware, bowls, serving pieces that I needed (and I served dinner to 7+ several times). This owner has taken the time and effort to provide the small extras that make the stay comfortable. The pictures accurately represent the unit, but don't do it justice. It felt like home the minute I walked in the door. I would highly recommend this location to my family and friends.

  My wife and I have been visiting Seabrook Island for 6 consecutive years now and this villa definitely ranks in our top 3 rentals. The interior was elegant and up-to-date, the views from the deck are awesome!.....and the bed was VERY comfortable. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone at anytime (other than our week next year!) :)....

  WE HAVE PREVIOUSLY STAYED ON SEABROOK ISLAND TWICE SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND FELT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS AWESOME. WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR THIRD STAY (JUNE 2010) AND FOUND THE ISLAND TO NOT ONLY BE JUST AS AWESOME BUT THE ASSOCIATION HAS REALLY OUTDONE THEMSELVES TO MAKE THIS ISLAND VACATION AN ALL INCLUSIVE GETAWAY. IF YOU ARE INTO RELAXING ON THE BEACH JUST STEPS AWAY FROM YOUR DOOR (THE VIEWS ARE INCREDIBLE, ESPECIALLY THE SUNSETS), TAKING LONG LEISURE WALKS OR BIKING AROUND AN ISLAND THAT FEELS LIKE YOU JUST STEPPED INTO THE TROPICS, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. FOR THE MORE ADVENTUROUS WHO PREFER TO BE MORE ACTIVE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THE TOURNAMENT LEVEL GOLF COURSE, TENNIS CLUB, EQUESTRIAN CENTER, INDOOR/OUTDOOR POOLS AND THE STATE OF THE ART FITNESS CENTER. FOR THE NATURE ENTHUSIAST, YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THE ARRAY OF WILDLIFE THAT ABOUNDS ON THIS ISLAND.
