  Modern modest apartment in Mendoza. Good value. Good location within walking distance of everything in the city. Close to groceries, food,, etc. The furnishinga are modern but basic, apartment is clean, Jane was very helpful. Air conditioning was having some problems, jane was working on getting it fixed. Air conditioning was running but leaking and not strong enough to keep up with the Mendoza heat.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

  We stayed at this condo in late November for 3 nights after a much delayed bus ride from Santiago. Jane was great about meeting up with us despite how late we were and was very quick at getting back to us when we had questions. The condo is conveniently located to a big grocery store and to major streets for easy access restaurants and shops. It was modestly furnished but since we were out most of the days, we found it to be sufficiently comfortable. Good value for the money.

  Jane's apartment was perfect. It was clean, sunny and modern. It included plenty of staples to cook with, plus DVD's, a library of books and a pleasant balcony. For the first time in our travels my wife and I felt like we had a home. Jane was quick to respond to any questions we had, willing to help in anyway, was very knowledgable about the area, and more than willing to offer suggestions and advice. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Mendoza. Thank you Jane Andre & Rosy

  My husband and I stayed here for almost a week on our honeymoon. It was a great choice. The place was clean and had all the basic items in the kitchen you needed to cook, plus a pantry cabinet with dried goods that other tenants had collected and left, so you had access to oil, vinegar, spice mixes, etc....We left some stuff we had collected in our few weeks of travel to add to it. The apartment was clean and had great airflow so there was always a nice breeze. The dining area had great views of the mountains, especially lovely at sunset. The balcony was great for lounging with a glass of wine and a book. The location is just as it says - right off of one of the main plazas, and a short 5 minute walk to the rest of downtown. It was also a short walk to two "restaurant rows" on Sarmiento and Villanueva Aristides. Carrefour, a huge grocery store was 3 blocks away. Jane was very flexible - we felt bad because our flight was delayed from Buenos Aires and we were already boarded so we couldn't call her. Arrived almost 3 hours late and there she was, like magic! She was also flexible about checkout, since we had to leave early one morning to catch a bus. I would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Mendoza!

  The previous reviews are accurate in their descriptions. The apartment is well located for easy access to all areas of central Mendoza. Great view from the balcony across the city, and a view of the mountains from the dining room windows. Good building security. This is ideal for independent travelers. We lived in the apartment for five days including the big weekend of Vendimia. We could not have been more happy as we walked to the Italian food fest (part of Vendimia sidelights), and both parades (Via Blanca and Carrusel) passed within a block of the apartment. Jane's care for us as first time visitors was outstanding. I hope we can visit Mendoza again; this will be our address when we do.

  I really enjoyed my three-week stay at this well-appointed apartment. The location is quite convenient--only a few blocks from Plaza Independencia and one block from the shops on Las Heras, many of which sell tourist excursions. The Central Market is four blocks away, the Carrefour hypermarket is three blocks away, and there's a laundry on the next block. The building is diagonal from Plaza Chile; the neighborhood is peaceful. The unit itself has a lot of space, a lovely balcony, and generally comfortable and well-lit living quarters. The kitchen had just about everything I needed. (There's no microwave, but it was easy to heat food on the gas stove.) The pictures of the unit on this page are accurate; it's unfortunate there's not also one of the dining area with the view of the mountains behind. Jane herself was friendly and always available if I needed anything. I had a lovely time.

  What can I say about Jane?! She is a kind lady and has the cutest apartment in the center of it all (but still quiet for sleeping). I've been backpacking for a few weeks and asked Jane in advance about laundry, mentioning I had not one clean shirt left. Jane personally checked me in and there were 4 or 5 clean t-shirts there for me to use! Now..that is above and beyond service. The apartment is really great and well equipped. Bed and pillows super comfy. I am also a VRBO owner, I own and rent a few apartments in Panama and Mexico so I am probably a tough customer with high expectations. I am very impressed and highly recommend this rental. Sarah Booth, Panamaholidayhomes
