Welcome to this cozy cottage by the lake (formerly a real ice house for a nearby tavern!). Relax in the spacious living room, with vaulted ceiling, that overlooks Schroon Lake and the surrounding mountains. Sit out on the back deck and enjoy the beauty.
The views are gorgeous and the setting is very peaceful. Enjoy the sandy beach just steps from your deck! Boat slip is included for your own dock space. The cottage has three bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, one with a full size bed, and one with 2 twin beds, plus a sleeping loft/attic for the kids! The cottage can accommodate 6-8 people in 3 bedrooms, plus an attic loft.

About the owner: We are a family or three, on our way to four. With two young children (soon) we are looking for some additional income, and just don't have time to spend all summer at our wonderful home away from home. We have rented it out for several years, and enjoy sharing our escape with others.
Why the Owner Chose Schroon Lake:
We wanted an adirondack escape on a beautiful lake, not too far from home. We absolutely fell in love with "The Icehouse". It is so unique, having been built originally to serve as the icehouse for a tavern up the hill. Little by little the cottage was added onto to become the adorable little getaway that it is now. The view and sense of peace sold the property to us at first glance.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The beach is right there, and unlike many houses there are no roads to cross to get there. The beach is shared by just a few homes, and the house comes with its own boat-docking space. We love having a washer and dryer and a full kitchen. We also love the proximity to town, which makes for a great little stroll. We are right around the corner from DeCeasers, our favorite pizza ever! We love to make a fire on the beach at night, make smores, stare at the stars, listen to the water and just relax.
