Without reservation TEMERA was one of the best vacations that we have been on. From establishing the reservations with the owners until our sad day of departing Great Guana Cay everyone involved in the process was without question extremely helpful and it turned out to be more than we expected. Gina and Ronald (caretakers) exceeded every expectation and are to be commended for their exceptional customer service. TEMERA was everything and more than we expected from having all the necessary household amenities right down to the free use of the new kayaks. As always, the people of Great Guana Cay have been very gracious host to a group travelers making all of us feel at home. Troy (Dive Guana) took us on the snorkeling trip of a life time at Fowl Cay providing exceptional service to all snorkelers regardless of you level of experience. From the snorkeling trip at Fowl Cay, to the Island Hopping in Elbow Cay and Man O War Cay, to the cleaning of the Conch he went over the top. Without question we will return again. Awesome home, great location
Awesome home, great location
My kids and I rented Temara for 5 days and had a great time there. The house is well laid out, with bedrooms on each wing and a large common open area. Lots of light and amazing views from inside. The covered patio is a great place to have drinks, play games, take a nap and watch the sea forever. The house is well maintained and super clean. The beds are very comfortable and the decoration is charming. The dock is very convenient and easy to keep your boat. Even with sw winds it wasn't a problem keeping it there (the abacos is one of the rare places where you can rent a boat, a great way to explore the reefs, fish and lay on deserted beaches if you're a cautious driver). The house is far enough from the settlement to have a lot of seclusion but close enough to shop at the grocery store and grab a drink at Grabbers (stay away from Nipper's if you can) in less than 5' by GC. The ocean beach is 2' by foot but we only went there once. A boat is the best way to explore the island and having a private dock is a huge bonus. The island is gorgeous and the locals super friendly. Don't act like a DA tourist and you'll make lots of friends very quickly. The island is safe and kids roam freely. The care taker Gina was very helpful and the owners couldn't be nicer. We'll be back soon! Thanks Robert and Catrina for letting us use your vacation home. Very very special.

We stayed for 1 week at the end of May. 2 families with 2 young girls we had a great time and the house was everything you would want. Great accommodation , great facilities. The porch and dock are awesome and the house location is very convenient. Every amenity that you need is here. I would recommend this house to anybody looking for accommodation on Guana Cay. A very good deal.

My family loved this house. If you are looking for the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun, this is it! Every day, we literally walked across the road to the Atlantic and had the entire beach to ourselves. It's a great place to find sea glass. In the afternoon, we'd hit the local bar for a Guana Grabber and then spend the rest of the day sunning and swimming off the private dock below the house. The house was extremely well maintained - despite having weathered Hurricane Sandy 4 days prior. The owners provided beach chairs, kayaks, beach towels, cooler, etc. They thought of everything we'd need to have yet couldn't pack. The views from the master bedroom are awesome. The house sits on a narrow part of the island. Consequently, you can see water from both sides of the room. On one side of the house, you can see the Atlantic. From the other side, you can see the Abaco Sea. You literally are surrounded by water. I would visit Temara House again and again.

Have stayed at several locations in GGC, but have now found our perfect location. The rear deck was the most relaxing place ever. The dock was fabulous for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. House is in great condition. The views never get old from here. This house is a must stay for the ultimate relaxing vacation,,,,don't forget to get a steak at Jerry's !!!

Amazing house & location
Amazing house & location
Just returned from an incredible 8 days at this great house. First time renting a home in the Abacos and of course was a bit skeptical that the photos would accurately depict the actual house. We were thrilled with the home in every possible way. Exceptionally clean, well equipped, and new! Covered porch overlooking Sea of Abaco was wonderful for any time of the day or evening. Caretaker for the home was very caring and attentive to any need we had. Location was quiet & private, but close in proximity to whatever you wanted to do: perfect for a very short walk to beach, Nippers, cart ride into town or Baker's Bay...couldn't have been better. Would highly recommend this home to anyone desiring a beautifully appointed and equipped home, at a very reasonable price.

About the owner: Elisabeth and I have been sailing the Caribbean and the Bahamas for over 25 years. We often anchored at Great Guana Cay and when the time came to come ahsore we were not in doubt where we wanted to be. We feel lucky to be retired and able to spend most of the winter here. Summers are spent on Shelter Island, NY with the kids and grandkids.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Great Guana Cay offers a unique opportunity to relax in an almost simple, rustic way. Enjoy the beach and the crystal clear water without the crowds. The Bahamian people are most friendly and very accommodating.
