Words cannot truely describe what this condo has to offer, but I will try... First, let me start off by saying that I do a lot of traveling and everytime that I have traveled to L.A. I have tried to stay in this building, its been 3yrs since Ive tried to stay in this building. Hadley's uint has always been an option, but it also has been always occupied by someone, if not by him then another traveler. So you can see how popular this unit is, if not the building itself. So 3yrs later I finally got to stay in it!! Hadley was more than helpful with everything, from communication to unexpected packages being delivered to the unit. He had a nice bottle of white wine waiting chilling in the refridgerator for us. There was parking for us as well (2 spaces). The location of the building is great, about a 10-15 minute walk to L.A. Live, where you can find everything from a movie theater to a dozen of restaurants. If you like traveling on the Metro (subway, for anyone else) its also close by, that can take you to Long Beach, Hollywood, Pasadena, the destinations are endless really. I am originally from Los Angeles my self and ever since they converted 1100 Wilshire into condo units Ive always wondered how living there would be. The experiance was great and it was everything that I expected and more. Thank you Hadley, I hope I get to spend some more time in your unit in the near future!Did you find this review helpful? Our stay was perfect. The condo was spotless and well decorated. The view from the room was amazing and the roof top pool offered the same views. The owners made sure everything was ready for us upon our arrival and were very nice to communicate with via email. Wine was chilled in the fridge when we showed up. An excellent touch to an excellent stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a pleasure to stay in this beautiful condo! Everything was immaculate when we arrived. The views are spectacular, and the contemporary decor with an Asian flair is the perfect style for the unit: bamboo flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, Japanese prints, wooden furniture accents, cozy fabrics. The instructions for parking and check-in were flawless; the owner even emailed us the day before our trip to alert us to possible road closures due to a filming crew. The thing we appreciated most was the quiet setting compared with a hotel. No slamming doors, no music from a wedding reception above, no drunken revelers in the hallways on the weekends...all of the stress associated with the uncertainty of other patrons' behavior during a hotel stay evaporated. A close second was the cleanliness. Super job by the housekeeper. We didn't need the washer and dryer, but it was nice to know it was there just in case. The convenience of unlimited, no-extra-charge in-and-out parking made things very easy for us. Look in the cabinets and closets and you will find everything you need: extra towels, tissues, even birthday candles. A book at the desk has instructions for checkout, Wi-Fi use, suggested nearby restaurants and attractions, etc. One thing that could be "good news, bad news" for some travelers is the frosted glass pane between the bathroom and bedroom. It's great during the day because it admits light into the bathroom, but at night don't turn on the bathroom light or you might wake up the person in bed! It's not an issue if you don't need the bathroom light during the night--and there are eyeshades in each nighttable to mitigate the problem--but rather something to be aware of. Perhaps a dim nightlight might make this a moot point. Also be careful of the edges of the platform bed, which can be shin-killers if you forget they're there. Once you get used to the platform size it's no problem. We heartily recommend this property and would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you, Hadley and Dee!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind comments. They are appreciated. Should you opt to return, the issue with the light from the bathroom flooding into the sleeping area will have been addressed. We are working on getting some kind of protective covering for the "shin-killer" corners on the platform bed. Regrets for that. Dee has been after me for a while to do something there. We've both tagged ourselves on those! Thanks for the critique of these two items, and again for the positive review.

Everything at the condo was PERFECT. The location was excellent. The condo looked exactly as it is pictured. Everything in the condo is immaculate! When I opened the linen closet, it even smelled fresh & clean! Everything/anything you would need was available. We have been renting from vrbo for several years and my husband said this is the best property yet! We had a wonderful time during our first visit to LA and the condo was icing on the cake!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you want the perfect place to stay in downtown LA, then this is it. Beautifully appointed condo, secure parking and concierge services and attentive owners. And there is the pool, gym and views! This is money well spent and you get so much more for your money than you would in a hotel. Great places to eat near by... Water Grill, LeKa etc. The library is so cool as is the Bradbury Building. Thank you Dee and Hadley for updating us on events that were happening in and outside the building. Oh, the car museum was fabulous as is the LA County Museum.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
