Rustico Il Ponte was a fantastic find and Valter and Antonella were very gracious and thoughtful hosts. This is our fourth Italian villa rental booked through VRBO over the past several years and by far the most relaxing and well equipped – we would highly recommend this location. The villa is very well decorated and appointed from the bathrooms to living space to kitchen. The view from the outdoor patio and the pool of the surrounding hill towns was incredible. This is truly a serene get away location, but within 30 minutes of several wineries. In the quiet of the day we could only hear the birds, the rushing stream and the muted bells from the surrounding hill towns – perfect!

Our Spring Visit
Our Spring Visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Il Ponte. The home has been beautifully redone and is so comfortable. We had some showers while we were here and it was just fine to spend the day at this country house and not go anywhere. On sunny days we drove to quite a few towns including Lucca and Siena and Greve. Then we relaxed on the lounge chairs and ate on the outside patio when we returned. We could live in this wonderful house. Joyce and Gary

Quiet, Secluded, Peaceful
This is the ultimate place to get away from it all. Fantastic for a family. Totally as advertised except that most of Italy really doesn't have good walking trails anywhere except Lucca. If you want to walk, go to Lucca and walk around the wall. Otherwise, you are mostly walking on roads. Keep in mind that units almost never come with paper towels or kleenex in Italy; however, they almost always have olive oil. If you want quiet (birds and a creek were all we ever heard), then this is the place. There is no action. There is no nightlife, just serenity. A car is an absolute must.

Why the Owner Chose Pescia:
I enclose a testimony of my client Aldo B.: I lived with my family in this rustic stone for a week and already I miss it. Outside there is a real rustic in 1700 but is equipped and finished like a luxury villa with rooms fit for a 5 star hotel. Rooms, bathrooms, living room and fully equipped kitchen complete with bathrobes, all cooking equipment, 50-inch TV with satellite and many other gadgets and electronics do not. Since the winter we enjoyed the warmth that envelops you with an excellent heating system. Outside we could not enjoy all the things that the house is equipped for the summer holiday but I promised to return in that period. With my family we had our dog with lots of fenced land at his disposal seems reborn, and even more happy. With regard to visits to places of the beautiful Tuscan there are difficulties in reaching the major cities of it: Florence 50 km Lucca 20 km. The highway that connects all of these places is about 15 minutes from home. I am attaching evidence of a family who recently stayed in Cottage THE BRIDGE. Only drawback is the availability of internet is very slow but the views that you are from home and all around I have not felt much of this need I highly recommend to all interested parties to these places to rent this rustic that is far better than described by the owner. Owners Walter and Antonella have become widely available to all our requests and offered us a bottle of fine wine and oil of their olive trees.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
My wife and I organize small Tuscan cooking courses. We make pizzas cooked in a wood oven at the Cottage
