We stayed for the weekend and had a great experience. We fished in the pond on the property and roasted marshmallows with our kids in the fire pit by the pond. The kids also enjoyed the zip line on the property. We liked Windrush because it had a great mountain view, but was not perched on the side of the mountain. Thus, we did not have to worry about the kids falling down the mountain. Once the kids went to bed, my wife and I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the hot tub overlooking the mountains and incredible stars. Everyone in the family enjoyed the weekend.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We just got back from a week in the mountains, and we stayed in this particular cabin. I can't say enough good things about it- the view is absolutely breathtaking. My favorite part is that you can sit in the hot tub on the back deck and overlook the entire section of the Blue Ridge mountains with no obstruction of the view. We will definetely be back to Windrush!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We charge a $250 deposit to reserve the cabin and 20 days before arrival we charge balance due. If you book within the 20 days we charge full balance.

We have an $85 one time cleaning fee (our cost to clean). This cabin is pet friendly, we have a $45 one time pet fee.

Why the Owner Chose Ellijay:
We bought this mountain cabin because it had a fantastic mountain view but was child friendly.
(not hanging off the side of a cliff). It was very hard to find a mountain view that was also kid friendly to ensure their safety.
It also looks out over US Forestry Service so no cabin lights to see at night.
The cabin is very secluded since it sits on its own six acres of land. We love walking to the pond with our young boys and feeding the fish at the catfish pond. We love taking a long walk with our dogs and soaking up the great North Georgia Mountain view.
