Looking for the perfect ski house for a family get away? This stunning house was just built in 2009 with skiing and snowmobiling in mind. Located on 25 acres in the rolling hills of Mt. Holly, there are activities for everyone. Strap on the cross country skis, rev up the snowmobile, or just relax in the sauna and hot tub out on the deck.
The Great Room has a cathedral ceiling, and a stone fireplace that dominates with warmth. Sit in the corner and finish the puzzle, gather in front of the fire, or just sit back and enjoy a movie on the giant flat screen TV. The large windows reveal a spectacular view of Salt Ash Mt and distant ranges. This spacious 5 bedroom home is very open and has an exquisite kitchen, 3 full bathrooms, an eating bar, dining area, and a huge game room!
The master BR has a king size bed and a private all stone walk-in shower. The three bedrooms upstairs all have queen beds, and share another all stone walk-in shower. They share a private common area with their own big screen TV with video and gaming amenities. The bottom floor has 2 bunk beds in a private room and also has its own full bath (there is an extra cot). Also on the bottom floor is our game room with: pool, ping pong, darts, basket ball, foos ball, and IPOD player and TV.
Our home provides cable TV with all the pay channels, and boasts wifi throughout! Also the house has a lovely cedar sauna in close proximity to the outdoor hot tub!

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is even more beautiful and spacious than they convey. Beds are the best you will ever sleep in. Kitchen is fully equipped. Games room has everything that kids from our youngest (7) to oldest (50) enjoyed thoroughly. Great Room is cozy and wonderful after a day of skiing and the hot tub were clean and easy to use. Would definitely rent this home again. The owners were fantastic to work with. I can't imagine a better property. If it was my own home, I wouldn't change a single thing!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We could not have been more happy with our experience. The home hosted a mini-reunion over Christmas vacation with three couples and 6 children all under 8 years old. The house was more beautiful than expected. It provided ample privacy and the game room was perfect for both the kids and adults. The proximity to Okemo was excellent. The owners were wonderful to deal with from start to finish. We will absolutely recommend this property to other friends looking to vacation in the area and look forward to a return stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This home is amazing. The attention to detail is obvious everywhere you look. It is pure luxury throughout. The Master bedroom is away from everything and quiet. The bunk room is across from the game room- perfect for the kids. The 3 queen bedrooms share a cozy living room with its own tv and couches. The upstairs loft is not open air to the great room. This provides peace and quiet to those staying up there. However, there is a door leading to the loft balcony- the kids thought this was cool. The kitchen is outfitted with everything. No worries about having sharp knives or spaghetti pots. It's all there. The owners are generous and accomodating. I e-mailed and spoke with them prior to our stay. They also have left clear instructions about different aspects of the home. The bottom line is you won't find a more beautiful home than this. It is A+ top to bottom.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My wife, in-laws and my 16 year old spent a week here in summer. If you love Vermont craftmanship, you are going to love the details in this house. Cherry wood floors and cabinets, a copper kitchen sink, a six burner commercial stove that works like a charm, stainless steel appliances and Vermont granite counters., When you open the built in cabinets in the two stone shower equipped bathrooms, you will be amazed at how they slide and how they are finished. And these are dream showers. You stand on polished stones, are surrounded by bleached bricks, have both an excellent regular shower head, and a hand held spigut. There are lovely pieces of furniture all around the house, oriental carpets in the dining room and in the kitchen(the one in the kitchen is machine made but lovely-the one underneath the long lovely dining table seems to be hand made and is exquisite). Go outside on the wrap around porch and you will find finely sanded wood boards. You can sit and observe Ash mountain, fruit trees and a large lawn going down to the road. And, if you are there in summer, an assortment of wild animals(we loved the family of wild turkeys camped out on the front lawn one morning(.. In the rear of the house is a Vermont Castings grill, which I did not use, so enamored of that six burner stove as I was. There is also a lovely hot tub(not wooden) which my son and I sat in one night and enjoyed the warmth and the stars. The lower level of the house is knotty pine, not usually my favorite wood, but it suits the generously equipped recreation room well. My son and I spent what seemed like hours playing ping pong and an occasional game of pool. Everything was clean and well prepared. The beds were a bit too pillow topy for me, but they were all comfortable and supportive. It may take some time to figure out some of the electronics in the house, but the four TVs are all HD with a large assortment of premium channels. We have been renting with VRBO and other HOMEAWAY affiliates for the past 20 years, and this is the best eqiupped and nicest house or condo we have ever rented. Nick and Camille, the owners, are extremely welcoming and helpful. You will feel like a pampered guest. Enjoy!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We can't wait to stay at this wonderful home again! Our family spent a summer week here and had an incredible time. This home is beautifully designed and has many wonderful features and amenities. It is clear that a tremendous amount of thought went into designing and creating this amazing place. The adults especially appreciated the wonderful kitchen and great room, and the kids loved the huge game room and yard. To top it off, the owners are very gracious and helpful and were a delight to deal with. We can't say enough good things about the experience we had here.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review of our home. Thank you also for recognizing how much work went into its unique design and features. We wanted it to be a truly extraordinary destination, and couldn't possibly have done it without the help of our amazingly gifted local architect and builder. We are luckier still to have such caring and respectful visitors, and look forward to your return next year!

We rented this house and could not have been more thrilled with the experience: the house itself was AMAZING, the owners were gracious, and it had everything we needed. The house comfortably slept all twelve (yes, 12) of us. Pictures do not do it justice: beautiful hearth, fantastic kitchen, lovely views, inviting and open layout - definitely the best house we've rented in Vermont. We'll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind review of our Vermont home. We were very pleased with the condition you left it in, and we welcome you to visit again when you're back on the east coast.

Thank You so much for inviting the girls and I to Vermont. Your house is just lovely, so comfortable and welcoming - perfect for a few cays of relaxation after a hectic Christmas! We loved sitting by the fire and working on the puzzle and the girls had such fun playing pool and ping pong with the gang. We hope to make this a yearly tradition! Thanks again for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Our family has been vacationing in Vermont for many years, and has loved the classic New England feel that it offers. Whether in the Winter or the Summer, we have found activities to suit everyone's needs. We have just recently finished our ski home and have loved every minute spent there. We hope that others can share in these good times and will care for our home as though it were their own.
Why the Owner Chose Ludlow:
Mt. Holly was the perfect place for us to build because of its access to multiple mountains. Okemo is just 5 minutes down the road, and Killington and Pico are 25 minutes away. Also Stratton and Bromely are about 40 minutes south. In the Summer months, the house is central to the area's hiking, kayaking and biking activities. There are lakes abound, and lots of swimming hole to be explored!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Being located on the VAST trail is a must for all snowmobil enthusiasts! Then after a hard day of riding or skiing, enjoy a relaxing sauna and/or hot tub out by the fire pit.
