This was our second stay at the Jamestown Townhouse and it is our first choice whenever we visit Austin. Our son lives in northwest portion of Austin and this place is conveniently located near the freeway which made it very easy to get around. The townhouse is absolutely spotless and the decor is very modern. The "Cozy North Austin Townhome" title certainly fits. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a basket of chocolates, wine and other snacks. The place is stocked with everything needed to make your stay feel like home. The gated townhouse complex is very quiet and well maintained; it was so enjoyable walking our little dog in the beautiful grassy pet area. In my experience, Christine, the owner is very prompt in returning phone calls but things were so organized that it was not necessary to talk with her this visit. She did contact us to make sure all went well and we enjoyed our stay. One other thing that pet owners will be pleasantly surprised at is her pet policy. Pets are often not allowed in other rentals or there is an added expense, This owner's policy is an example of the effort made to make her visitors feel at home. We look forward to our next visit to Austin and will make plans to stay here again. I certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting Austin.

My colleague and I came to SXSW for the 2nd time and we booked again at this townhouse because it's a great option - the place is tastefully decorated with nice art on the walls, very comfortable beds, and nice little extras like a welcome basket. We had first booked this unit in 2012 and came back again 2013 because it seemed like a great deal. The other nice thing is that Christine is very responsive - I had a minor question and she was quick to answer her phone and help us out. Thanks!

My buddies and I came to town for the Formula 1 race and we were not dissapointed. All the reviews I read beforehand were right on point. The place is decorated great, the beds are comfortable and it is super convienient to anything that you would possibly want to do in Austin. If I am ever in Austin again I will be calling Christine!

A Great Value for the Whole Family

My husband, three year old and baby met up with my parents at this condo. It was a lovely and convenient place to stay with all of the amenities we could need-- especially for kids (it already had a pack n play and toddler toilet seat). As others have said, it was also well stocked with nice extra touches like candy and a bottle of wine. We even left our baby monitor there, and Christine is sending it to us. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again.

What a great place to stay! From walking in to a filled snack basket and icy cold drinks in the frig in the 104 degree heat to finding everything you could possibly need to recreate home - this is an exceptional place with a wonderful host. Beds were comfortable, unit was extremely clean, and area is centrally located. Will definitely stay here again if our path takes us to Austin again.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was a wonderful experience. It is just as advertised including being child-friendly. Christine was always prompt in addressing our needs. The place was immaculate and had everything that you could need. The location was perfect as well. We hope to be able to do this again.

Because I travel to Austin frequently, when I booked this townhome, I was definitely looking for a place that was comfortable and felt like I was coming to my own space at the end of the day. I didn't want to stay at another hotel. Christine has thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need, and having access to a washer and dryer was excellent; I actually came home from this vacation with clean clothes! Staying in this townhome made it really convenient to visit my family in Austin. I felt safe with the secure gated access and the covered parking is also perfect. I will definitely stay here again... and again. :) Thank you, Christine.

This place was perfect in every aspect: - Location: Just a short 10 min drive to UT campus and downtown, very close to arboretum, right off highway 183 and about a mile away from I-35. - Comfort: The Townhome is newly renovated, decorated with excellent taste, all appliances new and in working order - Pet Friendly!. Our dog had a blast traveling for the first time with us and enjoying the outdoor areas, if you can't leave your four-legged friend behind then this is the place you want to stay at! - Convenient and functional: High-speed internet and premium cable TV will keep you up to date while away. - Overall perfect. Every detail you could think of was covered: from linens to dishes to tools and even first aid kit! Christine has done a terrific job on keeping this property up to par with the best 5-star hotel experience you could get for a fraction of the money and she is a great person to do business with, attentive and professional. Our family will stay there next time we visit Austin for sure!

I rented out this townhouse from Christine for my family and myself to stay there for UT graduation. The rental process went very smoothly - Christine was quick to respond to my inquiry and I was able to complete the transaction remotely from Europe, where I was at the time. The house is very cute, clean, and cozy, just as pictured on the photos. It is well-decorated and all the appliances are new and work great. The location is very good - it's a short drive to Costco and the Domain, but also only 10-15 minutes to downtown Austin. The beds were extremely comfortable and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for a week with my husband. What a wonderful place. I would definetly stay again. Very clean, well decorated and everything you need. My sons live in austin and we were able to envite them to dinner. The bed was so comfortable. Christina made us feel really welcome with a basket full of treats and wine. Nice touch.

Loved everything about this beautiful condo! I felt right at home. My sister and I were close to everything we needed to do around town. My pup Sasha loved taking walks around the complex too :-) Fully stocked kitchen and the outdoor grilk made it real easy to stay in and cook :-) Thanks so much for allowing to stay in your home! We definately enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning for our next visit to Austin. We were impressed with how immaculate the entire townhouse is and enjoyed the welcoming basket with wine and snacks on the table. When we entered, we were were so pleased at how fresh and clean the entire unit was and how beautifully decorated. The Cable TV, telephone, utility room with washer/dryer and other conveniences made staying here a pleasure. Our little dog enjoyed our walks throughout the complex and we always felt safe and secure. We were also impressed at how Christine, the owner, responded during the rental process; she was always accessible and there was not delay having our questions answered. Once the contracts were signed and fees paid we received entry instructions. When we arrived,access to the unit went without a problem. Last but not least, her fairness in allowing pets without additional fees and deposits was surprising....and appreciated. We heartily recomend this townhouse !

We were looking for a hotel alternative for a long NYE weekend in Austin. This was a great place, well stocked with amenities, and close to everything we needed. The price was perfect and the owner was patient while we managed travel plans between 2 couples. Will definitely stay again if we can get another group together!

This townhome has everything needed to stay away from home. Both beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are great. I had everything I needed for a 6 day stay. A quick trip to Walgreens for some food items and I was set! Coffee, tea, toiletries were provided. The patio is quiet & relaxing after a long day of sight-seeing. The downtown area was close and convienent. You can't beat the outstanding price- Less than a hotel & just as comfortable. Thanks!

Immaculate and convenient

I hesitate to review this townhome because now that my son is living in Austin I want to always have it available for me! From top to bottom it was pristine--the listing says that it is pet-friendly but it's hard to believe any animals ever stayed here. All of the furnishings were incredibly comfortable and there was plenty of space. Getting in late at night, I was concerned about finding a grocery store but no worries--Christine had stocked the kitchen with coffee, tea, sweetener, munchies, a bottle of wine and a great selection of beers. The bathrooms also had everything we would need, from blow dryer to deoderant. The complex was very quiet and secure and convenient to everything. I loved sitting outside on my private patio every morning with my coffee and every evening with my wine. The directions Christine gave were dead on--and for someone as directionally impaired as myself that's important! We were less than 10 minutes from downtown and never had any trouble getting to all the wonderful things Austin has to offer. We've already booked this great place for spring break and this time we're bringing the dog!

I just stayed 6 days in this townhouse and loved it! everything is great: quiet, clean, comfy. You feel at home almost! I was with ly husband and two teenagers and we had privacy and everything we needed! It takes 10 minutes from the center of Austin and UT. Would love to come back!

Great little townhouse in northwest Austin

This is a very nice 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom townhouse on the north/west side of Austin, just off Rt. 183, near Lamar Blvd. It's a gated townhouse complex, and there are 2 assigned & covered parking spots. Inside, the place is spotless, and very well decorated. We had plenty of room, plenty of closet space, and the beds are very comfy. Christine was a pleasure to work with, and left us several goodies as welcoming gifts. Outside, there is a small backyard sitting area, and best of all for our pooch, a big grassy dog-park area at the back of the townhouse complex. All in all, we were super-satisfied with our stay there, and would not hesitate to rent from Christine again in the future!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 weeks until our permanent house was ready. This place was awesome. We were sad to leave. Close to major roads, a super Target less than a mile, and an auto repair shops across the road(which we had to use). The place had EVERYTHING! Washer, dryer, clothes soap, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, high chair, pack n play, etc...Even a few cold ones and some chocolates to put on your pillow when you turn down the sheets. Place is also immaculately decorated, both furnishings and accessories. Christine was amazing to deal with. She's like that cool hip cousin that everyone in the family gushes about. Super reasonable prices this place is turn key. Stay here and spend your extra $$$ on some great dinners out.

Recently my husband, my son, his wife and I stayed in the Austin condo through Home Away. Our trip to Austin was planned due to a heart procedure for my son that could only be done in Austin, TX. We found the condo to be perfect for our needs. This was a very stressful time for our family and we found the condo to be clean, modern, and very quiet; exactly what we needed. Everything we needed was provided including a nice welcoming basket full of goodies, ours for the taking. When we needed to extend our stay by one extra day, even arranging for the extra day payment was convenient. The owner was fantastic to work with and made all the arrangements so easy to handle. I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend this condo to anyone who needs to stay in Austin.

Two of us stayed four nights in this townhome and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. Close to Highway 183, yet surprisingly quiet. The townhome was very clean and nicely furnished. The townhome complex itself is gated and well-maintained. My bed (with memory-foam top and fluffy, new linens) was very comfortable. I loved sitting out on the fenced patio in the morning and evening, just relaxing. Christine provided excellent instructions and was very prompt at replying to phone/e-mail communications.

My kids (+small dog) and I stayed in this townhome for 2 months this spring. Aside from being immaculate, the townhome was wonderfully appointed with everything I could think of to make our stay comfortable. From the refrigerator magnets, to the meatloaf pan, to the supplied DVDs/videos/family games, to the wonderful bedrooms and comfy furniture---this condo was perfect in every way. It has two bedrooms, but the sofa is large and comfy enough to sleep an extra person. The neighbors were nice and the home was pet friendly. I especially liked that the family room was downstairs while the bedrooms were up. It allowed me to be able to get some things done once the kids were asleep (or even just to watch cable tv....) The location was central enough to reach anywhere in Austin in 15 minutes - Georgetown/Leander, downtown, SoCo, the airport, etc. Two car covered parking and a little patio made this perfect for the kids and dog. Christine was a joy to work with. She was very professional and responsive and answered all my questions promptly and efficiently. I couldn't have been happier with the rental. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Austin or needing a month-to-month type of rental while in Austin.

We stayed at Christine's townhome on business during SXSW 2011. There were 5 of us in the party and we were all a bit concerned that we would have enough room in a townhome. We didn't have many other options as downtown spaces book years in advance in Austin for SXSW. We were so pleaseantly surprised when we entered the home for the first time with how well maintained and suprisingly spacious it was! The home was beautifully furnished and decorated. We all slept very comfortably- especially those of us who were lucky enough to sleep in one of the two amazing beds on the second floor! The home had every amentity any traveler could possibly need while enjoying a relaxing stay in Austin. The on site laundry and back patio were especially treats for those of us who are used to staying in hotels on business. I would reccommend this home in a heartbeat. It's close enough to downtown to count and far enough off the beaten path to not have to deal with any of the hassle of festival goers. Christine, thank you so much again for your stellar hospitality and the warm welcome!

This place is just great. Light & Bright. Very cozy and comfortable. The home was clean and well maintained. Beautifully decorated. When we entered there was a nice bottle of wine waiting, what a great treat. The owner was very considerate and thoughtful of our needs. I would stay there again.
