  This was our first experience using VRBO & it won't be our last. Apt 11 is a basic accomodation for two. The living room/kitchen area was very functional and we didn't feel crowded. All the appliances were in good working order. The bedroom has a king size bed, ample pillows & was comfortable. Large double closet which housed extra bedding & beach towels & chairs (nice touch as it saved room in our suitcases since we didn't have to bring our own towels). There is a chest of drawers & a double dresser plenty of room to unpack your items. The bathroom was beautiful. Large shower with full glass doors, a basin sink, fully tiled on floor & walls. Lovely basket of lots of towels in all different colors adding to the island feel. The grounds were pretty. Enjoyed socializing on the patio overlooking the sea. Didn't venture into the water because the access point was small & surrounded by ironshore (coral). The walk to the public beach is more like 15 minutes. You can walk to Timbuktuu restaurant highly recommended for both breakfast & dinner. Large portions & large menu. You can walk to the grocery store. Bring you own bags they now charge for plastic bags much like here in the states. Phil arranged for a snorkel trip with Tours Cayman. Went to Stingray sandbar, Coral Gardens, The Reef (right near Stingray) & Starfish area (nothing really there to see). We were picked up at the apartment & delivered back. Very nice trip, very reasonably priced. Didn't feel rushed & wasn't crowded. Went on a Friday when no cruiseliners were in port. We enjoyed using the bus & didn't rent a car. $2.00 CI into Georgetown for one person. We even ventured to the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens. Take the bus to the depot in Georgetown & transfer to the bus that goes to the Gardens. A little lengthy as we had to wait 35 minutes for the bus to the Gardens but it was good. From West Bay it cost 14.00 CI per person round trip, still cheaper than a taxi or rental car. Went snorkeling at Cemetary Beach. Our beach of choice bc it has shade. Nice reef off to left of the access path. Snorkel in town at Eden Rock & Devils Grotto right behind Paradise Restaurant beware of tarpon feeding $4 locker@Eden Rock Dive &freshH2O shower. What really added to the experience was the laid back graciousness of the owners. How can you lose when you are dealing with a Canadian & a native Caymanian? Nothing was a problem & Phil went above & beyond on our departure day.

  We came to Grand Cayman for a relaxing vacation. That is exactly what we received. Mary and Phil made our stay enjoyable and were happy to answer our questions. They have contacts, on the island ,and can help you arrange tours/excursions that you will enjoy. Many guests enjoyed the Stingray City Tour. Our apartment was very nice and we were able to settle in quickly. There are lounge chairs available on the deck, overlooking the ocean, and it is easy to lose yourself in the gentle breeze and the waves lapping against the shore. Seven mile beach is truly, a short walk away. You can walk to cemetary beach or take the bus to a number of other beaches on the island. We enjoyed our evening drinks ,with other guests and our hosts, and watched the beautiful sunset. Snorkelling is excellent just in front of Paradise Pointe, we saw turtles, stingrays and many many colourful fish. Many guests were out taking advantage of the snorkelling while we were there. The grocery store 'Fosters' and a liquor store were all within walking distance. Paradise Pointe is also within walking distance of the Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery. There are also a number of restaurants in the area as well. You do not need a car, as the bus is very easy to access and the driver will drop you off right at the front door! We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back again next year. Many of the guests we spoke too, felt exactly the same .way.. they loved the location and agreed that their hosts Mary and Phil were wonderful.

  My fiance and I stayed here for the last two nights of our week-long trip to Grand Cayman at the end of April. We loved it! We actually wished we stayed here the whole week. Mary showed us to our unit and was very nice and helpful. We met Phil once and he seemed very nice as well. They both really made us feel welcome and like we were more than just guests there. The unit itself was gorgeous! It was very spacious and just really relaxing - we could sit on the couch or chairs in the living room and look outside at the ocean. There was a great balcony outside that we sat on to watch the sun set one night as well. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and one we will never forget. If you are planning a trip to Grand Cayman, do yourself a huge favor and stay here! It is the perfect spot to stay and be away from it all and yet still be close to 7 mile beach and Georgetown for those that are so inclined. We cannot say enough good things about this place.

  This trip began as a very last minute decision for a getaway. Free flights on American to Cayman made the decision where, but as reasonable nice accommodations on Cayman are difficult to find we began to search and came across Paradise Point. Like several others have mentioned, correspondence with Mary was the first clue that Paradise Point is something special. The location was perfect for us as we are divers and like staying in West Bay. We rented a car, but I am not sure that would be necessary for everyone, as the resort is on the bus route and walking distance to several good restaurants. Mary was waiting for us on the porch as she promised. We stayed in unit 3. The apartment was very spacious, well equipped and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Mary has decorated the apartment with bright colors and her own beautiful photos. We had a balcony with table and chairs that overlooked a view from Georgetown and included Seven Mile Beach. It was beautiful! There are palm trees providing shade on the large patio, which allow you to sit and overlook the water while sitting on benches or lounge chairs. We enjoyed visiting with Phil and Mary and other guests most evenings while sharing the sunset. This was a unique stay- more like visiting dear friends rather than just renting a room. Phil and Mary are available to give tips on where to eat or shop in Cayman. Highly recommended are the Little Heritage Kitchen and Timbuctuu near the resort. If you like meat patties, they can be found nearby at the Esso station in Hell or at the 4-way stop, but get there early as they sell out fast. Their recommendation for a dive operation, Neptune Divers's was excellent. Neptune will pick you up and bring you back to the resort. Neptune runs a first rate dive operation. Paradise Pointe is in a perfect location whether you want to get to the crowds on Seven Mile or enjoy the tranquility of West Bay. The owners made this an unforgettable stay!

  My hubby and I wanted a quiet get-a-way to the Caymans and didn't want to break the bank. Phil and Mary are the most fabulous folks that make the trip affordable and that much special. The location is on the northern quiet end, but a simple walk gets you right to the 7 mile beach area. The public transportation is so easy to use, so we did not feel the need to rent a car. Lots of delicious places to eat, swim with the stingrays, a trip to the turtle farm, and lots of down time on the beach..... Paradise! You will not be disappointed to rent from Mary and Phil! We stayed in apartment 2, which we enjoyed the beautiful ocean sight right from our own balcony. We snorkeled right off the property and enjoyed the beautiful views of the cruise ships coming in and the view of the beach. We can't wait to come back and will return to Paradise Pointe!

  Paradise Pointe! A Place where all you have to do is sit or lay on the lounge chairs on the patio, Listen to the sea lap against the shore. Take in the sunset and know that this is truly Paradise, you can't get much better than this. Quiet, peaceful, fantastic hosts, what more can you ask for? With the whole view of 7 mile beach and George Town, you just feel like you're in your own little piece of heaven. Shops, Banks, Restaurants, beach, everything is so close just a 5 to 20 minute walk from your apt. Mini buses run by the apts. almost every hour on the hour. So nice you really don't have to rent a car unless you want to go to the Eastern Districts and explore the rest of the island. Go snorkeling, kitesurfing, diving, swim with the rays, you just have to come and experience all of this for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I hope you will have a chance to experience this little piece of Heaven at Paradise Pointe Apts.

  Mary and Phil are wonderful folks, very helpful and friendly! The accommodations were even better than shown in the ad. The location is perfect for us, lot's of snorkeling in easy walking distance or even right off the dock. We will certainly return!

  My hubby and I stayed for a week and couldn't be more pleased! We were amazed at the wonderful location, the amenities were outstanding, and the owners were extremely helpful. The second-floor apartment we had was huge! It faced the ocean and had a great deck where we enjoyed having breakfast and watching the sunrise. What's even more amazing is that you could watch the sun set from the same deck, or go sit on the patio and share a glass of something cool for sunset. The gathering for sunset reminded me of the Florida Keys, as it's an event every evening! You are a short walk from 7-Mile Beach, but I would recommend a car as the island is not as suitable to biking and walking as you might think. Great snorkeling right off the back of the property! Or walk up to 7-Mile Beach and have your choice. We loved "our end" of the island, and became regulars at Cracked Conch and Macabuca. Go diving or snorkeling and walk up for lunch. You can do the same at the west end of 7-Mile Beach at Al Fresco. Don't miss the chance of staying at this wonderful place. The owners were friendly and helpful, the apartment was spotless, and the location couldn't be beaten.

  From the very beginning, starting with my email correspondences with Mary, I felt she truly cared about her tenants; and that I have made a friend. The description and pictures are spot on. My husband and I stayed at Paradise Pointe from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve 2011. We were scheduled in on the late flight and were worried about the grocery stores closing early. No problem, I gave a list to Mary and she picked up the supplies for us! We rented a car from the airport, and it was dark by the time we started driving towards West Bay. It took us longer than expected to arrive; Mary was waiting outside by the road for us, worried that we had gotten lost. Her husband Phil helped us with our luggage, and they both showed us to our Apartment. We got moved to this apartment, when the reservation for it was cancelled. At no extra charge. The apartment is right above the water! That’s another thing, Mary & Phil don’t charge high season or holiday rates, it’s the same year round! If you're looking for posh accommodations, this place wouldn't be suitable. If you're looking for a convenient location, wonderful service, clean, spacious and comfortable accommodations, try Paradise Pointe. It's a great value and a lovely introduction to the area. You won't be disappointed.

  We found this apartment to exceed our expectations. It had everything you would want. No need for a pool when you have the luring beautiful Carribean ocean on the other side of their cute patio where you could literally snorkel right from there. We would drink our coffee on the cute benches and gaze at the great view of Seven Mile Beach, the cruise ships in the distance and dive boats nearby. We would have a short walk to the closest beach as well as the market and restaurants and then come back to the quiet paradise that made this such a great getaway. You don't need a car, the buses come by right out front and are more like mini vans, very clean with friendly drivers. We did rent a car towards the end of the trip to see the other side of the island. All in all this was a fantastic place to stay. Maybe that is why they named this Paradise Point. It is one.
