I stayed here with friends for a long weekend and we had a great time. The house is fantastic! It has beautiful high ceilings, spacious rooms, and modern decor. Each of us had our own bedroom and there was plenty of space all around. The house has a private dock to an inlet and is a short walk from the beach and a short drive from the wineries. The owner was also very nice and accomodating to arrival/departure times. We are already planning a return trip for the future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

About the owner: That's a picture of me, my husband and our two adorable grandchildren. We have 3 adult sons and so far, two grandchildren...We all love to get together out at southold and everyone is always comfortable. We look forward to someday retiring out there...right now, for the next few years, we need to concentrate on our careers and need to rent out our home in southold. We would love to share our home with you.
Why the Owner Chose Southold:
We always loved to vacation in southold...been going out there with my parents since I was a child...we decided we didn't just want to vacation, we wanted to live there full time someday. We are always on vacation when out there...it is near enough to the rest of our family, yet you feel like you are in another era/setting with all the vineyards, farms and laid back relaxed and yet interesting people....who are also there for the same reasons we are....just love it!!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our sons come and bring their boat, we enjoy boating, swimming, making sandcastles with grandchildren, catching hermit crabs at beach, kayaking - taking in the quiet nature - no motors!, Touring the different wineries, taking friends to tours/dancing/listening to music while sipping wine and a sandwich there, Great 'fancy' restaurants as well as local farm fresh foods at snack bars, carousel rides, ferry boat to hamptons, take our boat to shelter island eat lunch at the pridwin, or just at Pepi's dock in southold on the bay...You can be as relaxed and 'do nothing' as you want or look up in Dan's Papers or Suffolk times, art galleries, tours, concerts, Marine fleet, pirate happenings....just so much to do if you want it and the perfect atmosphere to just relax as well.
