This spacious modern house is located only 2 miles from downtown Coeur d’Alene in a semi-country setting on the east side of town (Stanley Hill.) The rental sits above French Gulch with a view of Ponderosa Springs par-3 golf course. If you want to meet the locals, walk down for a drink on the deck of the clubhouse and view the sunset. This is a friendly and quiet neighborhood, the kind of place walkers and dogs love.
The house has just about everything, including WiFi and the common electronics. The décor features antiques and original art. Our large library reflects 35 years in the book business; western history is well covered as are many subjects. The house is fronted on the south by a green house and on the east with a large deck, both with a view of the valley and golf course below. Our lot has a small creek running through it and you're sure to see a deer or wild turkey saunter by.
We are teachers and spend our summers at our lake place, making the house available to rent out. There are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a double. All the bedding is brand new for 2011. There are also two futons that aren't made up but can be used with sleeping bags. The kitchen is well designed and amenable to socializing or just quiet gourmet cooking.
This is our home, not a 'rental', so everything is nice and fully equipped. We are sure you’ll enjoy your stay relaxing in this delightful setting.
We also have a sister-listing on Lake CdA if you want a place with more lake access: #119673

Excellent stay in a beautiful home. We were centrally located to everything from downtown, the race start at the Lake, to golf for our friends and family. The neighborhood was quiet and everyone was very friendly. The owners were very helpful and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a vacation or to stay for Ironman! Thank you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1984
About the owner: We are both teachers and spend the summers at our lake place. The house is full of original art and has an amazing library reflecting our many interests. Steve and Tama
Why the Owner Chose Coeur d'Alene:
There is room, high ceilings and light. Throw in the view and solitude and you can't go wrong. The neighborhoods near downtown CdA are party-central all summer long and I am a light sleeper, enough said.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I assume you are familiar with CdA so I won't try to sell the area. Summer is best in North Idaho and the Hill Drive house is located close to both the lake, the downtown, and the Interstate while still located in a quiet hillside setting.
