What a great house, it's a lot like a cabin in the woods, but yet close to civilization and more great activities. Really loved Clearwater Beach and seeing the Dolfin w/the prosthesis tail - the movie will be out soon, can't wait to see it. Also, we went to Homasassis Springs to see Manatees - but saw none, then came back to the house and who was swimming by ? - a Manatee - right in our own back yard! How exciting! The owners have also installed a water misting system under the house - so it was very nice to sit in the hammock and be cool - as it is pretty warm in July. Thanks again for a great vacation! We will be back soon! Boston - thanks - you're a great neighbor!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I just wanted to drop you a e-mail letting you know how much we loved staying in your vacation home last week. What a beautiful, relaxing stay we had. Tracey [the property manager] was a big help with suggesting a few 'hot spots' in the area. Boston [a neighbor] was generous enough to let us use his paddle boat so we cold all go together [...] We will hopefully be moving into the area this summer, so I may ask to your use of the home temporarily if we find ourselves between settlements! Thank you again!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: My wife and I live in Virginia, but this home is going to be where we retire. Until then, I'm renting it out for others to enjoy. I love the peace and quiet and floating down the river.
Why the Owner Chose New Port Richey:
I had previously lived in Clearwater and other towns in the Tampa area, but was attracted to both the river and the quiet of New Port Richey.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We built a large Tiki Bar underneath the house because if you're in Florida, you want to be outside. IT has a full-sized fridge as well as a small bathroom, so you only have to go into the house to sleep if you want to!
