The Ranch Hacienda in Sisterdale was everything we hoped it would be; private, romantic, very clean, with well equipped kitchen and baths. There were books and games...TV's in the three rooms.... and the views from the back patio were breathtaking! We enjoyed wine in the evenings in the hot tub on the back patio, watching deer, birds and the beautiful scenery! We ventured out for a while everyday, taking drives in hills, stopping at the Market in Sisterdale (and wow, if you want awesome steaks cut 'Texas size' that is the place to shop!). We mostly cooked, but we did try Po Po Resturant right off 10 with its fresh cooked delicious, down home food! My thanks to Amanda and Randy Graybill for sharing their little piece of heaven with us! I would recommend this location to anyone wanting to experience the Texas Hill Country at its best!Owner response: It is such a blessing to us to hear that our guests have enjoyed their stay! We really take pride in making sure that the home is clean and equipped with everything you would need. This is absolutely the most beautiful place we have ever lived! Not only do you get to experience peace and quiet but you also have the privilege of being surrounded by wildlife. If you are lucky enough you might get to see the two buffalo caves just born across the street!! When planning a trip here make sure you include our friendly and well equipped Sisterdale Market! Also, watch for our newest listing, "Petite Maison" (Little Cabin), adults only, romantic, and beautifully appointed with all the great service we have been offering!! Sincerely, Amanda

The property is even better than the description and photos! Every attention to detail is taken care of - there was wood for the wood stove, there was propane for the BBQ pit, there were spare light bulbs, and even deer corn to feed the deer and critters. The house was perfectly clean and everything worked. We really enjoyed the wilderness and being out in the country. Our dogs had plenty of space to explore too. We'd suggest visiting the store and winery in Sisterdale which is very close and we'd say go to PoPo's restaurant just down the road in Boerne. One thing I can say is that we liked it so much we extended our stay. Amanda the owner was very responsive in answering any questions that we had. We didn't have any problems but I'm sure if we did they would have been taken care of. We'll definitely come back and if I could give ten stars I would. For the geeks out there - the internet is very fast here for being way out in the country. We also appreciated the washer and dryer at the property - you don't have to bring as many clothes.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: We really do pride ourselves in attention to detail, cleanliness, and meeting our guests needs. Our mission is for you, our guests, to Relax, Refresh, and Restore at a beautiful property that offers the quietness of the countryside and all the amenities of a luxury resort without the crowds. We want you to take in the nature that surrounds you in all its glory!

This was our third time to stay at the Casita. This property is unrivaled; all the comforts of a luxury hotel with all the seclusion of camping in the wilderness. We stayed for three nights and were perfectly content to remain on the property. We had planned to do the many of the activities available in the surrounding Hill Country, but, honestly, the rest, relaxation, beauty, and solitude is everything we wanted. Preparing our own meals in the kitchen and having enough to do on the gorgeous property makes the Casita an amazing value for our family. We spend at least three times as much money going to big city tourist destinations. And we usually end up getting stressed out and not relaxing at all when we go that route. If you need rest, peace, relaxation, and majestic beauty, this is the place! Also, we have only gone with our children but this place is the very definition of romance. One day my husband and I will have to return, just the two of us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are so glad that you found our place relaxing and you left "refreshed"! That is why our motto is, "Relax, Refresh, Restore"!! Hopefully you'll get the chance to come back soon without the children for a great romantic weekend stay.

This is our second time at the casita and all we can say is we will be going back soon. It was totally different due to the weather so the inside was the same... Spotless and comfortable ... Outside it was a totally different view. During the whole week of rest we actually only left the casita twice and that was to get groceries. We had another couple with us and the way everything is set up we had total;privavy when needed and could be together when we wanted. We recommend it highly for anyone that wants to take a break and rest. Thank you Amanda for making us feel at home. Xavier and DarleneRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: It 's so wonderful to have guests come back and stay with us. You all have become like "family"! Please come again soon. Amanda

We spend a fantastic week in this little house in the middle of the woods. We had deer coming in the morning, just in front of the house. Our little ones loved the garden. The casita is very well equipped to feel just like home. It is a perfect place for a couple retreat, it feels really romantic ! Thanks a lot to the owner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Aurelie, We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed the home and found it to be the perfect get away! We look forward to another visit. Amanda

Our time at the bungalow was to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We found the bungalow to be a hill country gemstone that allowed us to relax, take in the beautiful acreage, and to enjoy the amenities that the home offered. The house was decorated with a small christmas tree, stockings and a wreath on the door which was very thoughtful and allowed us to celebrate the season away from home. We had a small party one evening and the fire pit was a central gathering place that shared a lot of laughter and even the making of S'mores. Our friends were thrilled with the idea and couldn't remember the last time they had made s'mores! The following morning the embers were still burning so we started another fire and enjoyed our coffee outside in our pjs. Our 8 year old golden retriever found himself exploring the grounds and we could see him at all times as the grounds are cleared of woods adjacent to the house. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and provided all the amenities that your own home offers. The property lent itself to a beautiful landscape with such quietness, a ceiling of stars, and a peacefulness that kept us outdoors all the time. Our only thoughts, and not negative, and these are just so guests know. The master bath doesn't have a shower, just a tub, so we had to use the second bath to shower. There is a small table that seats 4 in the kitchen that was a nice surprise as we placed food on the table for our party. There is not a dishwasher, nor is there a closet in the 2nd bedroom. The place lends itself to gentle lights (almost Pottery Barn like) so take candles as many of the candles on the property were already old and without wicks. Make arrangements for firewood as there was very little on the property even though the owner knew we would want to use the fire pit and the indoor wood burning stove. We would definitely stay there again and are just thrilled that we did as the bungalow and its 150 acres made our celebration very special and a memory that has become a part of us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: We are so happy that our guests enjoy the property and can make memories! Thank you for reminding us of a few "little" things like candles and firewood that make your stay even more perfect! ~Amanda

We walked in and it was more than expected. Have been here a week and every morning is diferent. If anyone wanted to get away we would highly recomend it. Amanda the host? Could never have anyone as nice, polite and gives you total privacy. We are planning on setting two to three weeks next year to come back. Drove twelve hrs. Straight to get here and will do it again. Can't say enough except that it's too bad we have to leave. X&DRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed here during October of 2012 and were so impressed by the property and the interactions that we had with the renters, that we are looking into renting again next year. The house is beautiful, with all the comforts of home. We loved the fact that we could sit on the porches (back and front) and watch our three children play without any worries. Our family especially enjoyed many hours down at the private river front catching frogs, crawdads, and swimming. Many thanks to Randy and Amanda for making this a trip to remember.Owner response: Our guests are important to us and we love hearing that they enjoyed their visit! We especially love it when they want to come again. It tells us we are doing something good for someone else.

I don't feel I can adequately describe the beauty of this lovely place. It was the perfect vacation spot for getting away from reality. My two almost grown children are already making plans for the next visit. The property itself is beautiful and clean. The casita is decorated in such a warm welcoming style that you can feel yourself relax immediately upon walking through the door. If you need a little extra help in relaxing, the hot tub can help! We had our coffee each morning on the front porch while watching the deer watch us. Easy driving distance to several areas of interest. Absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you, Amanda!Owner response: One of the greatest blessings to us is knowing that our guests can relax and really "chill" from their busy lives. Making guests feel welcome upon entering the Casita is one of my greatest pleasures. And, since decorating is one of my gifts I love making the home a beautiful place to stay!
