Dreamcatcher- Great Gulfviews So of 30a, Free Wi-Fi/Long Dist!
Year Purchased: 2001
Why the Owner Chose Old Florida Cottages
During a business trip to the Emerald Coast we fell in love with the area. We chose Old Florida Cottages because of the family atmosphere and the close proximity to the beach with the magnificent gulfviews, especially from the house's tower room. The absence of high rise units in the area keeps the beautiful beaches uncrowded. DreamCatcher Cottage is decorated and furnished more as a second home than just a rental property. The house is filled with whimsical local art.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We always enjoy the miles of white sand and beautiful sunsets while at DreamCatcher. Many of the activities we enjoy are all within a short walk of the house.
* Great seafood store next door – Goatfeathers
* Nine restaurants
* Bike path along 30A
* Bike trails through state parks
* Boutiques and art galleries

We loved this home. Perfect location. Honestly, just a short walk to the beach. We had toddlers with us and it was not too far for them. The home is clean and well supplied. We had a fabulous vacation. The owner of this home is very conscientious.
Owner response:Dear Ginger, Thank you for your kind comments about our house Dreamcatcher Cottage. We try to provide a relaxing, stress free, clean and fun enivronment for our guests. DreamCatcher is more than a 'rental'. It is our second home and why you found it to be well appointed. We, as well as many of our guests, have comfortably enjoyed numerous holidays and family reunions at the house. Many of our guests return year after year. It has become their "second home" too! Please think of us again when you are planning your next vacation. Regards, Patty Schoelkopf, Owner

If your dream is to find a beautifully appointed, comfortable, well-maintained and well-located house within walking distance to the prettiest beach in the world, then Dreamcatcher Cottage is the place for you! My family has been fortunate to stay in Dreamcatcher multiple times, and each time we had a wonderful experience. Each of the four bedrooms is very comfortable, with a cheery decor. There are TVs and DVDs in each bedroom, plus the spacious living area, along with the very special Tower Room. From the Tower Room and the second floor bedrooms, you have a beautiful view of the water. The three bathrooms are spacious and well located for large families. The huge back deck is perfect for grilling out, and serving a large family dinner. There are also four lounge chairs, which are great for sunning. The two front porches (on two levels) are perfect for reading and relaxing. When we stay there, we cook dinner in most nights. I can't think of a time that we needed something that we could not find it. The cottage is well-stocked with lovely serving items. The cottage is a lovely short walk to what I think is the prettiest beach anywhere. The beach is never too crowded, which makes time at the beach very enjoyable. The cottage is within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, and a short drive to other areas along 30A. It is perfectly located. I give Dreamcatcher Cottage my highest rating. It is truly a place where dreams come true and lasting memories are made.

Our stay at Dreamcatcher was wonderful. The house is well situated on 30A and convenient to the beach and Goatfeathers seafood restaraunt. Everything about the house is designed to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed and lacks for nothing. The deck (with grill) is extremely usable if you want to enjoy the house to the fullest. The decor of all the bedrooms is outstanding. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely use Dreamcatcher again in the future.

Thank you very much for letting us stay at the DreamCatcher. We had a great week and both of our kids were able to come. Your house is much better than the others in the area. When we walked in it was great to hear both kids say it felt like home! Thanks for making great memories for all our family.

Our three families stayed in the Dreamcatcher Cottage in 2003. We really enjoyed the home and its location. We rode our bikes to the beach and pulled a little trailer behind for our stuff. That worked out great! The house was decorated so adorably , was clean, and had everything we needed for the week. We would definitely recommend this as a vacation spot for the right size family!

Our family has had the pleasure of staying at DreamCatcher Cottage for several years now and every time the experience has been wonderful. The house is perfect for family, as well as alone time. The beach is always beautiful. The location is great (even in the rain). The house is just far out enough to make it like home and just close enough to experience all of the excitement of Destin. I guess you can tell that we love it and look forward to our time each year. Thank you Schoelkopf family for sharing your little piece of heaven!

My family and stayed at Dreamcatcher Cottage in September of 2004. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit and everything was furnished, down to the towels. All we had to bring was our toothbrushes and clothes. The cottage is tastefully furnished and has lots of room to spread for a large family. I particularly liked that there was a TV in each bedroom so the kids could watch cartoons, while the adults had a choice of viewing, also. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking large or small meals. The pool was uncrowded, and the beach was just a short walk away. My family had a great time and hope to go back this year. The only drawback is limited parking (two cars)at the unit.
