The photos don't do this wonderful place justice. We were very impressed by the unique structure and setting. Only disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of the amenities since we had a short trip to visit local family. We will be back and look forward to spending time fishing, etc. Thank you for having everything needed to make us feel at home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone staying in the Tuscaloosa area - an EXCELLENT value!!! We were impressed and surprised - the photos do not do this place justice, and it had everything needed. We WILL be back to stay here while returning to spend time with our family in the area, and hope to have more time during our next visit to take advantage of the activities, especially fishing.Did you find this review helpful? My family and I had a great stay. The house was so beautiful and comfy feeling. Linda and her family made us feel right at home. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing. I would definitily stay here again. We had a great week. There are so many things to do in the area but yet you feel so far away because of the setting.Did you find this review helpful? This place is awesome. Such a peacefull and private setting with horses, fields, miles of fencing and the lake with dock a short distance away. The home is clean and rustic with all the modern amenities. There is a marina just down the road where you can rent a pontoon to ski, tube or fish. We had a great time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My family came in from Las Vegas and we rented this beautiful Lodge to spend our Thanksgiving Holiday together. It looked like a great place just from the pictures but once we arrived and saw the tall ceilings and beautiful wood work inside, we were ecstatic. It is above a stable which added to the atmosphere. My kids played for hours outside and petted the horses and loved the charming country setting. The lake is a little walk but we went there several times to take in nature and being outside. I had talked to the owner, Linda, several times and she was very accommodating and helpful each time. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone ready to relax, enjoy nature and appreciate a beautiful lodge.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

This was the very first time when we entered a rental property we immediately felt like coming home. When we arrived we were exhausted from the long drive that day, but as we took a first look around the house every stress just droped off. This house is so inviting. The decoration is lovely and we discovered so many things. We loved the music box in the farm room. The owners are very nice and open. They really took good care of us and our needs. The bedding in the master was like sleeping on a cloud, we loved it!!! We also loved the kitchen, especially the style and the nice decoration, also well equipped for our needs. The layout is very open, but cozy. The Lake Tuscaloosa is a few minutes walk away. We used the canoe and explored the area around us. The nature is very pretty and we loved to listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. Tuscaloosa is also not far away. We hope the destruction by the aweful Tornado will be cleared up soon and the rebuilding can beginn. The parts who aren´t distroid are very nice. We liked the campus area with the historic buildings a lot. If you like the house already, you will love it even more, when you see it with your own eyes. The pictures on homeaway are nice, but do not show how wonderfull and pretty this house really is with all it´s lovely details. If we visit this area once more, we definitely choose this home away from home again. Thank you so much for having us, we hope to come back soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
