I've been meaning to write a great review of this Boulder Point property. I took my son up for a week last June for a nice quiet week of fishing. The rental was managed by Ely Lodging which was a great experience. The fact that we didn't have any indoor plumbing was not a problem unless you don't like using an outhouse. The authentic lakeside sauna was great after a blustery day on the lake. Burntside itself is a huge lake and pretty easy to get turned around once you come off the North Arm. We got nervous about our fishing chances when at several bait shops they admitted that Burntside was a tough lake to fish. But we did pretty good. My son caught a 26 1/2 inch Walleye on a leech at the very tip of the north arm where it starts to drop off. We caught about six Northerns and tons of rock bass. Back trolling a large minnow on a green or black jig head seemed to be what the Northerns liked. We had no other Walleye besides the one. The outdoor oven/chimney was awesome. We cooked every meal sitting right there admiring the beauty of our surroundings.
