We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. Royce and Aidan welcomed us and helped us get started on a magical week in Tuscany. The apartment was clean and spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed using the extensive library of travel guides for the local area. Everything we needed was there in English. Their recommendations for restaurants were spot on. Thanks Royce and Aidan for your wonderful hospitality. The property was everything and more than the description. We highly recommend staying here. For anyone hoping to do the Brunello Wine Tour, please book well in advance and double confirm the dates & times. We booked the Wine Bus for Saturday at 9:00 at the Fortezza in Montalcino. The bus did not show. They returned our money in full, but we were disappointed that we did not get to experience the tour. Most of the wineries require reservations in advance for tours or tastings. However, you can taste many of the local wines inside the walls of Montepulciano by walking from tasting room to tasting room, and walk home at the end of your evening.

This was an absolutely enjoyable way to spend time in Tuscany. The property was exactly as described and the location was as central to the sites we wanted to see as anyone can hope for. The city of Montepulciano was charming, the shops interesting and the assortment of restaurants was ample enough to satisfy anyone's needs. The advice left by the owners of the residence was really helpful and the views from outside the residence were spectacular enough that almost anyone walking through the town found their way to "check them out."

Others have described the amenities that this apartment provides and we agree with their comments. The apartment is very comfortable and very conveniently situated. The owners supplied an abundance of information about parking, operation of the apartment, restaurants, and day trips. Montepulciano is a great place to stay while exploring the region. While busloads of tourists enliven the streets during parts of the day, for the most part they disappear in the latter part of the afternoon and the town is left to the “locals” of which we soon felt included. The merchants in the shops were friendly and welcoming. After happy hours spent exploring Montepulciano and the region, a highlight of each day was to prepare antipasto in the apartment and take it outside and walk 50 feet to the small plaza at the end of the passage where the front door is located and enjoy the as promised “breathtaking panoramic view”. Combine that with the ability to assemble a meal with the wonderful produce and wines of the region and you come very close to the sublime. We had the good fortune of being in Montepuliciano during the Cantiere Internationale d’Arte, a local music festival featuring world class musicians, and we felt we had found Italian Valhalla.

We were 2 couples from Ontario Canada travelling together for 5 weeks in Europe, and we found this townhouse and village an ideal spot from which to see different parts of Tuscanny. The townhouse was spacious, very clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen very well equipped, and offered good bedroom and washroom privacy for both couples. The beds were very comfortable. Montepulciano is a delightful walled village on a hill top, with nice walks to several old churches and the town square, and has lots of good restaurants of varying price ranges, and lots of nice shops, including offerings by local artists. We found the local people exceptionally friendly. Using a rented car, we made easy day trips into Florence (owners Adrian and Royce had great advice on parking), Siena, and to Montalcino, the center for Italy's top Brunello wines. We also enjoyed several other nearby villages, including Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, Castel d'Piano and San Fiora. Added to this were beautiful views of the hills and vineyards along the way. The entire region is a photographer's delight. All in all, a great week in Tuscanny for the four of us, and the VRBO highly recommended.

Oh, how we loved your place! It was so beautifully located and we even found your neighbors to be a joyous help. The rental was very much an immaculate "nest" for us and everything worked most efficiently. Beds were superb. I would suggest that all of your renters also visit the copper shop a few doors away. What lovely people...and I'm sure that's why YOU are nestled up there next to heaven too! aloha from M and the Hawaii Gang

Absolutely GREAT! Location is fabulous, comfort outstanding, owners are wonderful. I really felt like a good friend prepared their guest house for us. The residence is well stock, your needs are anticipated and the rooms are clean. We settled in immediately and enjoyed Montepulciano and the surrounding area effortlessly. The kitchen was stocked with quality cooking essentials and seemed to have anything you might ever need. These were the BEST beds I slept on in my 6 week Italian tour. Loved the area. Neighbors were all kind. Groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, all nearby. Just a great Italian experience. This is a top quality VRBO.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful apartment. Extremely comfortable with all of the comforts of a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting Aiden and appreciated all of his help about places to eat and especially enjoyed his help at the market. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tuscany.

A group of 5 of us stayed in the apartment in early June. It was great -exactly as advertised! Montepulciano is a great location making it a wonderful jumping off spot for day trips to Siena, Assisi & Florence. Royce and Aidan provided us with a great package of information before we got there and personal suggestions once we were there. The town itself is quaint with tons of options for dining. We truly enjoyed our stay!

What a great find. We stayed over the Christmas/New Year week with our family of five. We found the townhouse beutifully decorated with everything we needed. It was also very spacious. We loved the kitchen and living room and best of all the proximity to the Corso and the entire village. The owners supplied us with much useful information and are wonderful people to do business with. We hope to go back.

We stayed in this convenient apartment in July 2005, located in a excellent location in Montepulciano. The town was wonderful and we had a great time there. I'd recommend that you strongly consider this lovely town for your next trip to Italy. The apartment was exactly as advertised, with two comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is very nicely equipped and I enjoyed cooking with the locally available ingredients. Overall a nice stay!

My husband and I stayed in this fabulous apartment last May and enjoyed every minute of our visit. The owners gave great directions, a thorough history and walking tour of Montepulciano, lots of sightseeing daytrip ideas and when we had a minor power emergency they responded immediately. We loved the beautifully updated interior and enjoyed all the many extra ammenities. We can't wait to go back and walk down the Corso to #86, Trattoria Di Voltaia, for another serving of the best lasagne in the world!

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely residence in late June of 2004. As promised by the owners, the apartment was cool, even when the outside temperature was high. All the necessary amenities are available and the home is in immaculate condition. It was a quiet, beautiful environment, in a precious, medieval-renaissance town. We could get wherever we wished with a short to medium length drive for day trips. This apartment is a treasure. Flo and george Kimmerling

Comment Text: Our family had the pleasrue of living in this beautiful home for three months during the fall of 1996 and loved every minute of it. Montepulciano is a picture perfect Tuscan town with a great location which leaves you within easy reach of day trips to the big city sites as well as the most wonderful small towns and villages. Montipulciano itself offers many things to do and while we were there we were never at a loss for adventure starting right on the piazza. The house is perfectly appointed with every comfort. Stunning sunrises from the balcony, cappocino at Cafe Polliciano and sunset picnics on the green at San Biaggo.
Owner response:The Mort family actually stayed in our apartment (not on the VRBO website) rather than in the one we normally rent. Both are in the same house, and are quite similar but the rental apartment does not have a balcony.

One of the most picturest parts of Italy I have had the pleasure to stay in. The house gives you the feel of anchent Italy with all the ameniteys of the modern world. The side walk cafe's are made for leasurely summer evenings. With the town's of Roma, Venice, and Florance so close you can go for a day outing and still enjoy the beautiful country side, and when you return to the townhouse you have the feel of coming home. Were there is time left for a quite walk around town and to enjoy some real Italan ice cream.

Perfect location to tour the entire area including Sienna, Florence, Assisi, Chianti region. Rent car from Avis or Hertz in Chiusi.Drive the countryside and skip Urban traffic. Nice small town with several good ristorante for non touring days. Good size apartment, nicely furnished and cool during the hot summer. A good value also.
