We had a wonderful time staying at this log home in Victor. We were in town for our son's wedding and filled the house with a grandmother, aunties, and cousins with visits from the grandchildren. The weather was great with everything from warm sunny to days to exciting thunderstorms in the evening. We took full advantage of the property, floating in the pond, soaking in the hot tub and entertaining on the expansive deck. Even enjoyed listening to my daughters boyfriend playing the piano. Excellent value for the price. We had several other family members staying at nearby rentals and all agreed ours was the best set up for a large group. We brought or own bike and used those and the ones at the cabin to ride through Teton Springs Resort and into town. Our boys made several bike trips to the nearby Grand Teton Brewery, especially once they found out the special for biking in (buy one get one free). Not sure if that is a regular thing but perfect timing for us. The brewery also has excellent pizza and the nearby Big Hole BBQ fed us very well several times. It did get warm in the afternoon but cooled down at night. We noticed the flies but our son who lives in Victor said that had more to do with the cabin structure than the lack of screens. The only recommendation we would make is to consider investing in a better coffee pot - otherwise a great week.

My family and I stayed in this home for a week in August for a friend's wedding, there were seven people staying in the house including an infant, and there were more than enough beds and space for everyone. We did have to travel with a pack and play as there was not one at the home. We enjoyed have cocktails on the deck while watching beautiful sunsets and sitting in the hot tub on the chillier evenings. Ben (the owner) was also able to squeeze us in for a white water rafting trip which was amazing! We went into Jackson just about every day for various activities and we did not find the drive over the pass to be daunting at all. It took about 30 minutes to get over the pass and into Jackson. If we are ever blessed enough to travel back to Jackson, we would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay for 4 nights. There was 6 of us that came from different states and we brought 5 motorcycles to ride thru the Tetons and Yellowstone. Some details about this location...It is aprox. 30min to downtown Jackson over a very steep Pass. Be prepared if you plan on spending much time in Yellowstone or Jackson you will be taking this pass. There is a alternate route to the West entrance of yellowstone but the drive thru the Teton mtn range is beautiful and worth the hassle of going over the pass. The house was very spacious and was great for our party of 6. It did however get hot during our stay and the house warmed up considerably during the day. The house had no AC and only 2 fans. Luckily we had 1 of them to sleep with. The other couple did not and they did complain about not sleeping well due to the heat. This will only apply if you stay during the peak of the summer. The only other complaint was that there was a mouse living in the house. This didn't really bother me as I am used to mice and not too overly concerned but some of the women in our group were hysterically afraid and it was quite funny to see the reactions of them. This is certainly not the fault of the owners or the house. It is just the location of the home and the wildlife in the area. Without those mice the food chain would not be complete and you would not see some of the beautiful birds living in the area including bald eagles, falcons, hawks, cranes, robins, fench, hummingbirds, etc... The owners did have traps set and we put them in the path of the mouse and every night he would take the cheese and leave the trap untouched. Smart little fella... None the less I would highly recommend staying here, it is a beautiful house and beautiful area and if we ever decide to return I would stay here again.

The house is a nice property and nicely furnished and well located. It is on a well traveled road but there is a sound wall which buffers the noise. We enjoyed our stay at the house with a few exceptions. The owners live in a smaller home right next to the property. The property ad on VRBO states “basic mountain bikes”. My grandsons’ had been riding the bikes until one afternoon we came home and found that they had been chained together while we were out. This was disturbing because they were locked and because someone came into the house while we were away and locked them. We found this to be a breach of our privacy. A knock on the door, a note or a phone call or some other interaction would have been a better way to handle this. There seems to be a family of mice living in the box spring mattress in the master bedroom, or at least that’s where we saw them hide.

Owner response: I apologize to the renters who were upset about the bikes. We do use the garage as a storage for much of our extra gear. We do offer bikes but some of the bikes are our personal bikes and we usually have them locked up from the beginning. I should have spoken to them about this and didn't get the chance in person. We have addressed the mouse issue and have corrected it.

Charming and authentic log cabin with beautiful deck and excellent scenery all around. Spent hours during the mornings and evenings relaxing and enjoying the views. Saw a 3 point deer wondering near the cabin. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy for a family vacation. We had family members arrive there from Oregon, Illinois and Nebraska. Far enough to make each day an adventure. 30 minutes west of Jackson Hole and 90 minutes to the south enterance of Yellow Stone National Park. Although not a big deal, some guest would prefer screens on windows for a bug free midnight summer breeze.

Our group of 5 spent the last week of the ski season in this beautiful, and excellently maintained house. We were able to easily access 2 ski areas. Everything was as good or better than described by the owners. The atmosphere inside is spacious, confortable and very easy to relax and kickback. We would return again anytime and highly recommend this home and location.

We just spent the best 2 week vacation ever with our 6 member family at this beautiful home just off the Teton Pass in the heart of the Targhee National Forest. After a long day of hiking in the Tetons, we were grateful to arrive at our vacation home and soak in the pond or hot tub. We loved Victor, ID too, home of the Grand Teton Brewing Company where we met some nice people while enjoying a pint of beer. The nights here are spectacular. We spent many a night sitting on the deck star gazing. Ben and Willow Star are great folks with lots of knowledge about the area. We'll be back someday!
