We have a beautifully furnished log home situated at the base of the mountains on 2.5 acres adjacent to National Forests, in a quiet setting but close to everything.
The LOG HOME is 2200 square ft, and boasts five bedrooms (one is an office), two bath, two and a half car garage, large south and west-facing decks, and windows overlooking a golf course and the mountains. We are in a rural setting on the sunny, west side of the Teton Range. We have a pond with waterfall and lots of open space with views. Swimming in the summer.
Imagine waking up to a Teton sunrise with horses running in the neighboring pastures and the tranquility of a truly private mountain setting. Then, waking up to the stillness of clean mountain air and beautiful southern exposure mountain views, with the abundance of lush vegetation and teeming wildlife.
Your only concern is to decide between a hike up Coal Creek to Mt. Taylor, a day fly fishing on the south fork of the Snake River, a mountain bike up Pole Canyon right from the house, or a day tour at Teton Village in Jackson Hole. Or maybe you're into hitting the slopes in the morning and coming home to a relaxing hot tub after a day on the mountain. Or, you might be more interested in a raft trip down the canyon of the Snake River, golf at one of the six local golf courses in the area, a horse back ride up Darby Canyon, or a day on a scenic drive through Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
All of these activities are based from the comfort of a large but cozy log home offering a spacious living room with rustic hickory hardwood floors, bar, baby grand piano, fireplace and outdoor hot tub. Our large kitchen and atrium connect to the living room and offer great space for holiday parties. Spacious rooms with hand-peeled authentic log interiors make for private settings.
Our yoga/massage room can be converted to an extra bedroom to suit your needs. The large master bedroom with walk-in closet offers a double shower head, jacuzzi tub, and a travertine tile bath. Extra bathroom is comfortable and nicely appointed with granite counter top and double sinks. A spacious laundry room allows for convenient upkeep during your stay.
The house is smartly situated at the base of Teton pass on the Idaho side just half a mile from groceries, a quaint breakfast coffee shop, and banking in the town of Victor. It is ten minutes to the top of Teton Pass for immediate back-country skiing access, just 30 minutes from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, 30 minutes to Grand Targhee ski area and 30 minutes to the Jackson town square for shopping and nice restaurants.
National Forest trails are biking distance away. World class guided fly fishing and horseback tours are also available. We are based at the gateway entrances to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and have the full scope of outdoor recreational activities and amenities to make your visit to the mountains memorable.
This home is ideal for those interested in coming to the mountains to get-away and be surrounded by nature and nestled near the forests of the Tetons. Mountain activities abound! Sorry no smoking and no pets. Serious inquiries only.
About the owners:
Ben and WillowStar Squires: We are in our late 30's and have been living in the Tetons for over 15 years. Ben is from California and moved to Jackson Hole to fight fires on a helicopter crew. He fell in love with the mountains and decided to stay. He currently works in the restaurant business at the Snake River Grill, one of Jackson's finest restaurants and in real estate for Windemere.
He is a builder and does independent contracting for remodels on the side.
WillowStar moved to Jackson Hole from NY and was a river guide on the Grand Canyon for years before settling into the Tetons. She is a singer songwriter, a massage therapist and works for SkyWest Airlines part time. We are both active outdoors people who love good food, good fun, and a closeness to family.

50% payment to reserve the dates. Payable to Ben Squires
Remainder payable upon arrival. $300 damage deposit upon arrival.
$150 returned end of stay provided no breakage. $150 goes to cleaning
