My family spent a week at this home for the second summer in a row and hope to be back next year. The home is beautiful, especially the first floor. The kitchen has everything you could need and was where we spent most of our time when not at the beach. The porch with rocking chairs was another loved spot and a great place to watch the kids play in the grassy yard. Having an ice cream shop, pizza restaurant and Nauset Farms ( produce, ice and deli )all in walkng distance made our stays true vacations. There is no need to get in and out of the car for packing beach picnics or dinners. We also found the quiet, dead end side street that the house corners an ideal biking spot for young children. Obviously, Nauset Beach, which is a three minute drive, is our main reaon for vacationing here- Best beach on the Cape- However, having such a comfortable, clean, convenient home to stay in made our weeks enjoyable and we look forward to many more family vacations and memories here.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful time on our first visit to Cape Cod. The home is as lovely as the pictures portray with lots of great shops within walking distance. We especially enjoyed Zia Pizza and Sunday School Ice Cream right across the street! Nauset Beach is pristine and a short drive. Home is clean and well maintained and the owner was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and helpful. We would recommend this home to family and friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

This was our second visit to the beautiful Cape and were fortunate enough to find this stunning home to live in for a week!!! We enjoyed everything this house had to offer from the amazing kitchen equipped with that Viking stove that I LOVED to the suite we had as our bedroom and the porch where you can enjoy the late afternoon breeze...the list can go on and on!!!! The location was convenient to great beaches, shops and restaurants and lets not forget Sundae School across the street!!!! The owner, Tony was especially helpful and kind to us!!! We were due to arrive on the Saturday prior to Hurricane Irene but decided to wait until Monday to leave for the Cape. We arrived to find Orleans had no power as most of the The Cape but thankfully it was restored the following afternoon. Tony was in contact with me the entire time and even extended the rental two extra nights for us!!!! We really appreciated that after the ordeal we went through!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of home right here in Orleans!!!! Looking forward to the next adventure but maybe without a hurricane!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This historic house is beautifully restored and decorated The Owner has a vast collection of interesting books on interior design, gardening, Cape Cod history and other topics. We enjoyed barbequing on the outdoor terrace on the back of the house and viewing the passing scene from wooden rocking chairs on the outdoor covered deck next to the kitchen. The property is on Main Street, about 1 1/2 miles from the beach. Very convenient to everything. A little noisy at times from street traffic but that did not bother us at night. Master bedroom, dressing area, and master bathroom are very spatious and gorgeous; other two bedrooms are small, up a steep stairs so be careful at night. Kitrchen is state of the art. Note that unless you bring your own, you must make a separate arrangement with a designated supplier for towels and linens, at extra cost. A real find on the Cape!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This was my first time on the Cape. My Husband and I travelled with my sister, her Husband and two young ( 2 and 4) children. We stayed here for one week and had a blast! The house is absolutely stunning. The photos do not lie. The kitchen was a joy to cook in (and I don't cook!) and the master bedroom was like our own private suite. The children loved the outdoor space (and the ice cream accross the street!) and their mom loved having access to laundering facilities. Both Nauset and Skatet beach are relatively close. It was worth getting a weekly parking permit especially since the house came with beach chairs and unbrellas which we brought with us every day. We had a wonderful time and are already dreaming of next summer. Do not hesitate to rent this house; you will absolutely love it.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Why the Owner Chose East Orleans:
Loved the location; Nauset Beach is my favorite and a short walk away, and I am a regular at Joe's Bar at the Barleyneck Inn. Farm Market, Bakery and Sandwich Shop steps away, three good restaurants within walking distance, Newstand, Post Office and Ice Cream Shop across the street, total enclosure and privacy. That is why.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Close to all the essentials. Cape Cod light, Nauset Beach, National Seashore, surf casting, dolphin rescue, whale watching, excellent food if you know where to go and an incredible cultural scene.
