After a full day of fun on the Lake,come on inside and stretch out in a comfortably spacious five bedroom home, complete with modern equipped kitchen,3 full baths,and a large covered deck overlooking the lake. Watch your favorite sports or movie on the Large Flat Screen TV in the main living room. Another flat screen TV is located in the lower level family room,so kids can bring along their favorite video games.There is free Wi-Fi so you can check your e-mail if desired. A second smaller kitchen is conveniently located next to the family room . A main floor dining room seats six and adapts well for playing cards. Cards and poker chips are provided. Enjoy the privacy of three full baths(two on main level, one on lower level)No need to overpack as the laundry room comes complete with an iron & ironing board. .

Grill out on the large stainless gas grill located on the upper deck. Our Lake House is non-smoking inside, but outside you will find ashtrays on both the back and front decks.
You'll find the country atmosphere refreshing ,yet it's a quick eight mile drive into town to grocery shop .
Enjoy fishing,boating,waterskiing, jet skis, or kayaks on beautiful Lake Barkley. You also have access to Kentucky Lake via an interconnecting canal. For a change of pace , visit Venture River Water Park in Eddyville, or play 18 holes at Mineral Mound Golf Course. Hiking & biking trails can be found at nearby Land Between the Lakes recreation area. LBL also offers wildlife viewing at the 700 acre Elk & Bison prairie, a woodlands Nature Center, the Golden Pond planetarium, and the Homeplace living history farm.

Four couples shared this very comfortable home on Lake Barkley for a week this fall. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation: clean and spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, helpful and friendly owners, inviting indoor and outdoor spaces to gather and relax. We definitely will return.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

This is an affordable, clean, "homey" vacation home with lots of space for family and friends. My family and I have been going there for years. It is right on the water with beautiful views and easy access to the water for swimming, fishing, and boating. My kids love the water trampoline! In a world of video games and TV, my kids actually look forward a week of fishing off the dock, swimming, games of ladderball, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes, roasting marshmallows, boating, jet skiing, and card games in the evenings that the whole family participates in. There is also a waterslide park less than 10 minutes away that my kids and I visit each year. This is a great place for busy families to reconnect! It would also make a great place for a girls get-away or a couple's get-away. The lodge has additional accomodations for family reunions or get-aways with friends. If you love boating and just hopping in the boat to go for a ride, you can't beat this. They have a dock onsite with slips for rent. The large cove they are nestled in makes for smooth water great for tubing, water-skiing and jet skiing. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to returning in a few months for our annual vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Eddyville:
We have been vacationing in Western KY since our children were youngsters. The area is family oriented and safe. Now our grandkids look forward to their week at the LAKE. They have learned to fish and ride jet skis on the uncrowded bays of LAKE BARKLEY. You can even catch glimpses of the area wildlife along the shores, such as deer, bald eagles, black-footed ferrets,racoons, ducks, herons etc.The unspoiled natural beauty of the surroundings is rejuevenating.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Finding a large well-appointed private home directly on the Lake is rare. The mature shade trees offer the opportunity to view many bird species while relaxing on the
covered deck. There is plenty of open water for all to enjoy. We have a covered boat
dock with a swimming platform and water trampoline which is less than 100 ft from the back door of the Lake House.
