My family (3 people) stayed at the cottage, and has the time of our lives! The house was clean, and had plenty of room for a toddler. The listing description of this house was accurate, and the layout of the house was more than we could ask for. Open layout with huge bay windows showing nothing but the gorgeous view. We saw dolphins on our 2nd day, and played on the PRIVATE beach everyday. Yes, this is a private beach that is well taken care of. The owner provided excellent customer service, and welcomed us into his home. I would 110% recommend this home to anyone and everyone that loves the beach. Our stay at the Capistrano Beach house was very enjoyable. The owner was prompt in responding to emails, offered affordable rates, and made sure we were fairly accomodated. He was also flexible with our check-in and check-out times, willing to work around our schedule. When we arrived, the lock on the door was not working properly, but was addressed immediately. The listing and photos accurately represented the property; although the beachfront was quite rocky and not too ideal for children playing in the sand, it was still a nice, quiet and clean location. My family came from MN to visit us in CA and their stay at the property and on the beach was very much a treat. I recommend this property for a nice ocean getaway, with reasonable prices.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The property was in an ideal location for our family of beach lovers ! The house was very "homey" and although the bedrooms were quite small, it really didn't matter , as most of our time was spent outdoors, either in the beautiful garden or on the beach. Perfect for watching the 4th of July fireworks, spectacular sunsets and even a couple of dolphin shows !Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.
