I manage a small sales team scattered throughout NC and SC and I chose this location for a team retreat and what a great choice it was!! The house is great - recently updated and very accommodating to our medium sized group. This was my first trip to Edisto and I will def be back!! Owner was very easy to work with - available to answer questions and flexible with check in time, which really helped out our group with arrival times. Highly Recommend!!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful fall vacation at Edisto! We have been to Edisto many times in the summer and fall ! High Tide was warm and friendly house ! Everything is run very smoothly by the owners ! Views are beautiful and house and beds comfortable. We hope to visit again this summer ! It was very nice to be able to take our fur baby with us ! Loved house !Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family, myself and husband, two daughters with their husbands and 4 grandkids spent a week at this home. Everything was as described and very comfortable. The layout of the home is ideal for multiple families since the four bedrooms are on either side of the main living and kitchen area. The best part is that we could hang out on the outside deck relaxing and watching the kids play in the sand and surf without having to transport a thing to the beach. Everything we needed was a few steps away in the house. The island is very laid back, the biggest attraction, the local supermarket "The Piggly Wiggly". We did take a ride to Charleston one day to celebrate my birthday and had one meal out at a local restaurant which was very good. The fishing and crabbing was a big hit with the men and a fabulous time was had by all. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is wonderful place. Would definitely do again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

High Tide is the perfect beachfront house to share with family, friends, and your pets. The view was incredible and the house accommodated our needs perfectly. my family and i spent a week at high tide. it was great! we had 3 families 2 grandkids.we all gathered together all day and evening. when they needed privacy each family went to their owm room. it was like they had their own suite. we realy enjoyed our stay and we loved the house,it was clean and roomy!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We (my husband, 2 boys, and I) stayed here for a week in April 2011. The house is completely brand new inside and beautifully decorated!! I really don't think that you could get a house that is closer to the water. We loved everything about the house and the beach. The owners were very nice and helpful. We did not experience any problems with the house - everything was as we expected (actually nicer!) and we were not disappointed in anyway. We have been renting vacation homes a couple of times a year for over 5 years and we would definitely return to this house. We went into Charleston on two separate days to sight see and found it to be an easy drive. We toured some of the other islands which were beautiful also, but we loved the fact that this house was literally on the sand, a mere stone throw from the water. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us!!! 24 Fairway Drive Edisto Beach, SC 29438 (843) 869-0345 The road to Grover's and the Plantation Grill is very pleasant drive through Wyndham Resort under a canopy of huge old trees draped with spanish moss. Both Grovers and the Plantation Grill have a different feel than most of the other restaurants on the island. Edisto is mostly old and very non-commercial - we love that - the Plantation Grill and Grovers are quite different. They have been remodeled and have a very modern decor and interior achetecture - more like you would expect in Atlanta.

About the owner: The owners are actually two families - connected for years through business and friendship, and now through this rental property. We are all from the Charleston area and share a love of our children and the natural beauty of the Lowcountry and our wonderful beaches.
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach:
Living nearby in Charleston, we wanted a vacation retreat that was easily accessible, yet still afforded us a feeling of getting away. Edisto Beach was the answer. We can be at the home in less than an hour, yet feel much further away from the every day. Much of Edisto Island is under conservation easements, and will always remain unchanged and as beautiful and unspoiled as it has for generations.
We particularly enjoy the home’s close proximity to both the beach and to the Edisto Island business district. As nearly everything we need is within a short walking distance, we can park our cars under the house and not use them for a week if we don’t want to.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
With 4 bedrooms separated by the central great room, the home has a traditional beach-style layout that is both functional and practical. It is perfect for vacationing with family and friends, as everyone can have their own space. My favorite space is actually under the ocean side deck. I can hang out there in the shade with my feet in the sand while the kids enjoy the waves just a few feet away.
