Talk about an ideal location! Our vacation home is situated in beautiful Crystal Beach, a coastal community of quaint, colorful, sea-side homes with white picket fences and lots of charm. We are located directly across from the beach on Scenic Hwy 98, and a very short 1 block walk to beach access! You are close to everything here so you won't be driving 30 min to get anywhere! Publix grocery and the Destin Commons Shopping Center are a 5 block drive- or walk, and Walmart is 1 mile to the west on 98. Crystal Beach is the most beautiful beach in Destin, with white sand and clear, shallow, sparkling emerald water! This area of Destin is really the quietest because there are no large condos or high-rise buildings on this portion of Scenic 98. Experience Destin diffrently from all the high-rises and overcrowded condos!
Our home is an antebellum style house with beautiful wrap around porches which are ideal for enjoying the beach atmosphere. We have a private pool which is huge by 'beach standards' -12 ft x 25 ft- with plenty of room for laps, or volleyball with the whole family, and it can be heated in the cooler months(for an additional charge). The pool is on the beach side of the property, directly on Scenic 98, making it easy to join-in on the fun, and sometimes craziness, that is all around. There are 8 pool lounge chairs, so you can relax and watch the kids play in the pool. New in 2012, are wooden Adirondack chairs and tables on all the porches, as well as other new outdoor seating.
There are 2 large master suites with king beds on the second floor, both of which open onto the expansive porches. The master that faces the beach also overlooks the pool, and there is a 'peek' of the gulf and the crashing surf from the porch. The loft bedroom has queen and full beds, and the downstairs has 2 twins with the third bath also downstairs. All of the bedding is new as well as all of the bed linens, and all the bedrooms have cable TV and DVD players. You can take advantage of our brand new(2012) outdoor speakers using the amplifier and MP3 input, and enjoy your tunes while out by the pool, or while relaxing with cocktails on the porches in the evenings. You can also play your tunes inside with the MP3 input on the den DVD/home theater.
Walk to dinner at Camille's, or rent a bike; spend the day at the beach or hang-out by the pool; shop at Silver Sands Outlet or play some golf; do whatever you like, but rest assured, you will have a fantastic time here!
Our home is professionally managed locally, and any problems that might occur are rectified within 24 hr. They will also work with you to make paying for your vacation rental easier!

Why the Owner Chose Crystal BeachNW FL has some of the world's most beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear water, and we chose Destin because we love the beach here, as well as the community. Crystal Beach is a quiet sea-side neighborhood with beautiful private homes, and yet close enough to the 'action' to satisfy everyone. We chose this specific property not only because we love the house and the pool, but also because we love the location - our home sits on a corner lot directly on Scenic Hwy 98, just across from the beach. We are close to everything the area has to offer, and the convenience of this location is a huge advantage. There is not a lot of traffic here because Scenic Hwy 98 'ends' 2 blocks to the west at Henderson Beach State Park, and there are no high-rises on this end of the beach. Because it is so quiet, we love to sit on the porch at night and listen to the surf. The serenity also makes for great beach walks, and neighborhood walks as well. We have been vacationing on the NW FL and AL Gulf coasts all our lives, but Destin has become, by far, our favorite Destin-ation.
The Unique Benefits at this HouseYou can enjoy swimming in our large private pool, which can be heated in the cooler months, and which fronts on Scenic Hwy 98-to really give you that 'beach' atmosphere. Our home is an easy walk to several incredible restaurants, 1 very short block to the beach, and 2 blocks to Henderson Beach Inn and State Park. The Beachwalk Cafe at Henderson Park Inn is incomparable, if you want an incredibly romantic and excellent dinner. (We walk to dinner, and usually walk back on the beach.) We have enough parking for 6+ vehicles, so even large parties can be accommodated. The MP3 input and amplifier allow you to enjoy your music using the outdoor speakers while in the pool or on the porches. There are 2 outdoor showers-the back one has H&C water, the front one(on the palm tree by the gate) is only cold. And, the bowling alley is only 3 blocks west, for something different to do on those rainy days. Plus, our keyless KABA locks will give you peace of mind during your stay.
