  I had the pleasure of staying at Palmas del Mar and I cannot wait to return. My boyfriend and I went to Palmas with no idea what to expect, we stayed for 6 days but wish we had stayed longer. Palmas del Mar is stunning with palm trees everywhere, impecable gold courses and clean sparkling beaches. We enjoyed playing tennis in the morning and having a "cafe con leche" afterwards at the cafe with breakfast right next to the courts. The beach was quiet and safe so we had our nightly beach walks down to the beach club. The villa is nothing less than perfect. It is right on the beach! The view from the master bedroom, living room and kitchen is the most beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. Walking distance right to the beach,. you do not have to walk far with beach chair and all. The villa was clean, airy and very well maintained.The master bedroom has a giant comfortable bed with a nice large closet, and the view is just breath taking! This by far has been our favorite vacation, the home is beautiful and we cannot thank you guys for letting us enjoy your home! Thank you thank you.

  Everything about this condo and the Palmas community was amazing. Waking up to the sound of the Ocean which is just steps away makes for the perfect wake up call. The beach is gorgeous and all of the amenities that go along with it make for an amazing vacation. Looking forward to planning another trip to Palmas and staying in this beautiful setup with the best location in the community!

  I couldn't wait to go back to beautiful Palmas Del Mar. This is at least my 12th visit here. I just can't get enough of coming to this outrageous Beach- front Villa. Location, location, location. From sunrise to sunset there's always something you can do. Whether its tennis,swimming, golfing, fishing, casinos,spas, restaurants, shopping, or just relaxing in your own private scenario, Palmas has it all. I also love getting my massages under a palm tree, enjoying the sound of the ocean and the beautiful breeze. I miss all the friendly and helpful people in the island. Now planning my next trip to Palmas. I know I'll be back real soon.

  We were attracted to this property as it was right on the beach. It literally was seconds away so the location was perfect. The apartment is a little tired and could definitely do with some revamping. Once the dehumidifiers were on the place dried up a lot. The furnishings were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, sheets etc. A hairdryer would have been nice. The description of amenities included use of a pool. This was eventually resolved satisfactorily by the owner with use of the hotel pool, but it is a little misleading to say all of these amenities are at your disposal when renting. The horseriding and golf were both amazing and Palmas Del Mar is a great resort. We did enjoy our holiday but perhaps the descriptions should be rewritten to reflect 2012. If you want to be right on the beach and are not looking for plush 5 star accomodation then this does the job.

  Last week we rented this listing. We were very excited about our trip, a week away to relax. The good points, the Palmas is a beautiful area, and the view was really nice, the condo really is right on the beach! We felt the pictures were deceiving the property was not in great shape, water stains on the ceilings and walls, along with large cracks in the walls and the place had a musty smell. But to our group the most disappointing part was the fact that in order to use one of the many pools at the resort you must pay $15 per person, per day! None of the people in our party had ever heard of that anywhere so it was very disappointing to us that it was going to cost us $75 a day (or $375 or the 5 days) to swim in the pool at the resort and that there were no other pool options. Usually the beach would suffice however there were red warning signs posted to not swim because of the strong under current. The 2nd to last night we saw a huge cock roach on the ceiling (the 2nd of the week) so we decided to leave a day early and head back to the Sheraton in San Juan.

  Owner response: Hi VRBO support, I spoke at length to the person that initially made the reservation. I discussed my unit, the amenities as well as her desires and interests of the resort. After about 3 weeks on researching the best location, she choose my unit. Dana Johnson the person I rented to was unable to travel due to health issues. She had another family member take her place and I found myself having to explain everything I had initially explained to her niece as well as the reason the beach club passes were not included. She was unhappy with the arrangements her niece had initially committed to and wanted beach club passes which I would normally offer except she had already negotiated a price for her stay which did not include them. I explained that for the price per night she could then pay for her own beach club access whenever she choose to go. Her aunt did call me and give me notice she was going to post a negative review because I would not give her an additional discount. I felt I was being harrassed and honestly I have been a vrbo member for close to 8 years and I this is the only complaint. I have a wondeerful property manager onsite which addresses any request my guest may have and I doubt very much that there was anything other than the beach club access bothering her. Thanks again,

  It doesn't get better than this! Beautiful PALMAS DEL MAR. The best Villa #140. Its truly a PARADISE. Every morning you wake up to the most beautiful sunrises, and then the day begins. Whether its tennis, swimming, golf,or just relaxing, its all at your finger tips, and don't forget the Casino steps away from the Villa. Here, is where you have it all! Rent a golf cart and go explore 3000 acres of undisturbed beauty.

  Our family just spent a week at the villa and absolutely LOVED it. My wife and I travelled extensively before we had children and haven't let the four of them slow us down. This was, hands down, the best villa location in the best resort we have had the pleasure of visiting. The resort has everything you could want, for a romantic getaway or a dynamic family vacation. There was attention to every detail in our villa and the entire grounds of Palmas del Mar are immaculate. Being steps to the beach, a stroll to the Tennis Club, Golf course or Casino...your choice. All 4 kids loved the Beach Club and as parents we loved the full service available there. The gated resort has every service you could want and we had great meals at four different restaurants. The grocer onsite allowed us to outfit the villa to have some relaxing mornings over family breakfasts. For a fun outing I took my oldest 2 children hiking in the rainforest where we swam in a waterfall pool (about 40 minutes away). Seeing the sun rise over the offshore island or enjoying a beverage while watching the full moon through the waving palms this was a spectacular vacation. Thank you so much for sharing.   Mar … Paradise by the SeaHaving just returned from a seven day stay at Palmas Del Mar at the Beach Village, # 140 – and having just been able to catch my breath from the surrounding beauty within which I was immersed, I have to confess that Palmas has etched a very special place in my heart. Being no stranger to travel, Palmas’ magic swept me away.And why not! Listening to the Caribbean sea while having coffee and watching the sun rise, seeing the crescent moon making its way across the night sky with so many sparkling stars and being able to listen to the night sounds, one only can experience this incredible combination in Palmas. As I write this, I am sitting in the Villa, listening to the waves at the beach, which is steps away, watching the sun set and casting a pink glow on the billowy clouds – did I say magical earlier? I can’t wait for the chorus of the night to start singing.This, however, is just the tip of the ice berg. The golf courses are pristine, well manicured and world class. The tennis club is wonderfully staffed, has a great facility, in addition to having a great restaurant. Of course, if horses are your thing, the equestrian center is so well maintained, even if you don’t ride, stop by and check out the horses on the grounds – they are so beautiful. As for restaurants, you don’t have to go far to find excellent dining – from authentic local flavors to French dining, you can find it here – all within golf cart distance. Yes, you can rent a golf cart here as a means of transportation – fun!My favorite place, however, is the beach club – the pool is so beautiful: palm trees sprouting out and separating the lap pool area from the volley ball net and main pool, and the pool side service for snacks and, if you must, cocktails. Delicious.If you feel like exploring more of PR, you can check out the only tropical Rain Forest in the US National Parks system, lunch at Kiosk #2 at Loquillo Beach (great if your hungry after a hike in the Rain Forest), both are worth the trip as is Old San Juan, the Bacardi factory tour, the ferry ride to Culebra Island, and some of the local treats here in Humacao; all are easily accessible and make for a very memorable vacation. This is just a slice of my vacation, I’m sure if you choose Palmas Del Mar as your destination vacation, you will have your own magical stories to share!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palmas Del Mar. The location of the villa wa spectacular, directly on the beach. The pool was across the street, and the tennis courts near by. All in all,a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

  This condo is beautiful walk out right onto beach just a few feet. The View is magnificent. My husband and I sat on the beach under the moonlight at night. It was the most beautiful moon I've ever seen. We played Golf, laid by pool and dined at delicious resturants. Try a mojito at the beach bar. I enjoyed a relaxing massage on the beach under a tiki hut, while my husband relaxed on a hammock between two palm trees. I would highly recommend this place as a fun romantic get away.
