We had a wonderful time at this location. I had visited Northern Michigan on a few occasions to Traverse City but not with my family. As my husband is an avid fisherman, this was a great place for us to go as a family so we could enjoy the different things the entire area has to offer. The home was well maintained and very comfortable. The owner greeted us when we arrived and answered all of our questions. It was so nice to have water less than 25 feet from your back door! We had campfires at night and rented a pontoon boat for several days. Torch Lake was so beautiful but we enjoyed the cozy feel of Clam Lake even more. My husband was amazed at the fishing opportunities. And Traverse City was only a short drive away. We even took a day trip to Mackinac Island. Definitely a place we wish to return to.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a great time at this property. Clam lake was great for crusing and fishing. Only had about a 10 minute boat ride to beautiful Torch Lake. House was well maintained and very clean. It was our first family vacation since having our son and we couldn't have asked for anything more.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chester's Cottage. It was our first time taking a leap and renting a property for a vacation. It was such a positive experience for us, we definitely we be repeating. The cottage is gorgeous and in the perfect location to the Up North recreation of Michigan, particularly the Chain of Lakes. The property is well kept with many amenities. The hospitality of the owner was awesome.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers.
