  This was our first trip to Roatan, and we are so glad we selected Peter and Linda's house.We were a family of 6 (parents & 4 20+ kids). I would agree with everything previously stated about the house, reef, etc... We really appreciated the water cooler in the house. At the grocery store for $1 we could buy 5 gallons of water and put it on the cooler. We went through 10 gallons and didn't tons of plastic bottles to throw away. Our gang spent a ton of time hanging out on the dock affiliated with this house. There was a covered part where we could hang the 2 hammocks provided with the house. There was an upper deck where the kids sunbathed, and we too snorkeled off the dock daily. We saw turtles, sea rays, lobsters,lots of cool fish, etc... just snorkeling from the dock. There was also a very large floating "tube" that the kids would tie to the dock and hang out on. The dive company we used (Tranquilseas Eco lodge and dive shop) picked us up on the dock for all the dives we did as well. This was super convenient. Vanessa was a great host too! They were just installing the wifi while we were staying there. Having 4 20+ year olds with us, they were grateful for that! When we were too tired to cook, we walked up to the Blue Parrot (approx.2 blks) for dinner. Everyone thought this was one of the best vacations our family has taken. If we are lucky enough to return to Roatan I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again!

  Perfect place at a perfect price, we had a blast, the house was beautiful, great sunsets at the dock, everything was really nice, worth every penny. i highly recommend it.

  This house on Sandy Bay is pretty much perfect. The owners, Peter and Linda, and the neighbor/manager, Vanessa, were super friendly and accommodating. Our party of six (2 adults and 4 “kids” in their 20s) loved it. The location is great, centrally located for exploring the island by car, but why leave because the views, the snorkeling, the dock, and the kitchen are so fine. The house is spacious, super-nice and fully appointed. There is air conditioning throughout although we didn’t need it downstairs. We relaxed during the day on the open porch, and ate our dinners on the screened porch, feeling like royalty. The views are fantastic, what with the water colors and the setting sun directly offshore. It felt like the nicest house on the island. The snorkeling was superb. We swam out to the deep blue wall of spooky channel every day. The coral reef was in nice condition, with excellent diversity of hard and soft corals, fishes, lobster, turtle, and invertebrates. We partied late into the night on the end of the dock, repeatedly jumping into the luminescent milk-warm water. Seafood and vegetable vendors would pull into the driveway and toot, so we could trot out and buy bags of lobster tails and avocados. I totally recommend this place.

  I highly recommend this property for an awesome affordable vacation. The condo was 5-star with A/C, satellite, several bathrooms, plenty of space, and an awesome beachfront view. Snorkeling off the dock we saw turtles, starfish, sea horses, lots of stuff to explore in the most beautiful clear blue water you will ever see. Sunsets were magnificent. If you like hummingbirds, they visited the condo all day. Mangoes in the yard were sweeter than anything I would ever have taste in the states. For fun, besides swimming and snorkeling in the ocean, we discovered monkeys, iguanas, and zip lining. It was easy to travel on the island. The airport was easily accessible. Book it. You will have an unforgettable time.

  Hi. We just celebrated our 25th anniversary and vacation at the Sun-Dancers at Raymond and Peter’s place and it was a totally great experience. I like reviews that tell me things I need to know so hopefully I can help you. First the negative and there is only a minor one: We rented the upper level; actually there are 2 levels in the upper unit. We had no problem going up and down the stairs (we are both healthy and I am 60) but if we would have taken my mother-on-law she would not have been able to do the stairs. But then it wouldn’t have been a vacation! In other words the upper level is not for someone who can't climb stairs. Positive: This place is nice! I mean really nice!!! The trip started out with Juan, who speaks fluent English, picking us up at the airport and giving us the lowdown on many important points on our ride to Sun-Dancers. He helped us with our luggage, showed us the unit, and he left us his phone number so if we had to contact him in case of any emergency or need for any info. Juan & Vanessa live just a few yards away in their home in-case we needed anything. I love my coffee in the morning and Vanessa made sure there was a fresh package there for us to use. The place has ceiling fans in every room we used and we didn’t need to use the air-conditioner but there are units available for use. Granit counter tops, stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, toaster, etc. We ate over half of our meals here and we even baked a cake to celebrate and to munch on. Everything you need is there, including towels for the beach. You just need to bring your own personal hygiene items and your cloths. If you forget something, don’t worry, there is probably an extra one there. Great water pressure to shower with, plenty of hot water, and a huge bathroom. The water did shut off once for about an hour (typical for the island) but Juan called us and kept us updated the whole time. The mattress on the bed was wonderful, firm but not too hard. Great for my back! Lots of play toys for the water, masks, fins, and even two large air mattresses to float on. HDTV in the living room and the bed room, cable TV with plenty of English stations and some English movie stations (HBO-Cinamax-USA) English news channels, etc. We even found some playing cards and a Farkle game to play. We have been to Roatan several times and this is definitely the best place we ever stayed at on the Island. Bottom line: You will love this place, really nice, and well worth it.

  We have been visiting and volunteering on Roatan since 2006. We have stayed in a different house or condo each year until now. This home is amazing and will be first on our list from this point onward. It's in a very quiet neighborhood, beautiful location, close to town for a trip to the grocery store, and the amenities in the home were GREAT! The dock is literally just feet from the home and the snorkeling here is fabulous! Just a short swim out to the reef where we saw tons of fish and even saw turtles several days. Everything from talking with the owner to working with Vanessa the property manager was a pleasure. I would highly recommend this home for your vacation....you will not be disappointed!
