This quiet and cozy home is tucked back in the trees, on four city lots, at the base of Mount Royal. It is warmly decorated in a Mountain motif with mountain colors. It is a comfortable seven bedroom, four full bath, two half bath, mountain getaway. Located in the center of Frisco, two blocks from Main Street, the heart of Summit County. The free shuttle bus stop is four blocks away. This retreat can sleep a maximum of 23. If you need more space, you can rent the adjacent private cabin, listed on this web site as the, Frisco Cabin.
Sleeping Arrangements: The following three bedrooms have private bathrooms.. The upstairs Master Suite has a King pillow top bed, twin bed, and a new double innerspring futon couch, and a full bath. In front of the futon a wood fireplace, and 27" flat screen TV/DVD. There is also a 19" TV at the foot of the king bed. The bedroom on the main floor has a log bed, with queen pillow top, a twin bed, and a full bath. It has a TV, and a private access to and from the outdoor hot tub on the back deck.
There is a two room suite downstairs that has a queen bed and twin bed in the bedroom, and a double innerspring futon couch in the sitting room. There is another 27" TV here , and a 3/4 bath. There are four other bedrooms upstairs ,on the south side, of the house. Two bedrooms each have a double bed, single futon chair, and sink. The other two bedrooms share a private sink area. One has two twin beds. The other has an elevated log double bed. These four rooms share a 3/4 bath and a half bath.
Floor Plan: The tiled entrance leads into the dining room and living room. The living room has a double la-z-boy couch, additional overstuffed leather/fabric loveseats and chairs, a game table with 4 chairs, 36" Flat screen TV/DVD, and a wood burning stove. A sliding door accesses the large deck and PRIVATE outdoor 8 person hot tub. The dining room is tiled and has a ten person Mission style wooden table and chairs, and a wood burning stove. The dining room also accesses the deck and hot tub.
The kitchen is tiled and fully stocked and equipped for large groups. It has a double sink, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. The breakfast bar separates the kitchen/dining room and has three bar stools. A half bath is off of these two areas. There is a full size washer/dryer on the main floor. There is a large parking lot plus a shed for storage of skis/bikes.
On the redwood deck, the large hot tub sits under the towering pine trees for year round enjoyment. In the summer, the back deck has two sets of patio furniture, and a large stainless steel gas grill. You will find three picnic tables in the yard, horseshoes, and two swings for the children to enjoy. The bike path trailhead leading to 69 miles of paved biking, is just four blocks away. Single track biking is the same distance away. Whether your group is large or small, if your desire is, "that mountain feel, mountain charm", this retreat is for you.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Frisco is in the center of 5 world class ski resorts and has a wonderful Nordic center. In the summer, this property is only one and half block to main street, and 5 blocks to the new Marina on Lake Dillon. Being in the center of the county, it is also the center of the over 60 miles of paved bike paths, and all the hiking tails.
The Unique Benefits at this House
If you wanted the, "Colorado Cabin in the woods" feel, you will enjoy this home. Cedar siding, large redwood deck with 6 person hot tub, and surrounded by mountains on all sides. Being only one and half blocks to main street all the restaurants, bars, and shopping is just a short walk away. The free bus stop is only about 4 blocks away. In the winter it leaves every 1/2 hour for the ski areas, and in the summer allows for bicycles to be transported.
Just 6 miles West on I-70. Some of the best skiing in the county.

We purchased this home from my family, in 1999, who had run it as a Bed and Breakfast since 1984. We continued to run it the same until 2000. We decided to rent the entire house, instead of room by room, as a Bed and Breakfast. My wife and I both left our Professional Careers; Mike in Financial Planning and Amy as a Registered Nurse. We raised our 3 children in the wonderful Mountain town of Frisco, and it was one of the best things we ever did.
