The house was lovely. Everything described and more! Every room has a breathtaking view of the creek and forest. The sound of the water will lull you to sleep every night, as you are literally right on top of the creek. A better location could not be found! I hope to be back and catch the leaves turning for fall next year! Everything one needed was in the house. The location is ideal in between Sedona and Flagstaff. So much to do in the area and so many wonderful hiking trails in the canyon and in Sedona. The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Good Morning Lisa You really did understate the beauty and charms of your home on Oak Creek...the pictures on the web site just don’t do it justice! Our family just returned from 6 days there and can hardly wait to go back! Folks out there reading this review need to know that the house is DIRECTLY on the Creek (my grandson caught his first trout!) and every room has a view that could be on a post card! You're just a short drive Sedona and immediately adjacent to the trail head to West Fork, one of the most beautiful hikes in Arizona. Thank you again for letting us be your guests, and like I said, we can’t wait for Christmas to go back for a week!

WE FIRST STAYED HERE FOR ONLY TWO NIGHTS IN MARCH OF 2003. WE ARRIVED LATE AT NIGHT AND I DROVE DOWN TO SEDONA IN THE MORNING TO GET SOME COFFEE SINCE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE THAT DAY. WHEN I SAW THOSE RED ROCKS MAGICALLY APPEAR IN MY WINDSHIELD FOR THE FIRST TIME I KNEW WE HAD TO STAY ANOTHER NIGHT. WHEN I FINALLY RETURNED TO THE HOUSE THE SUN WAS UP AND I SAW WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE VISTA 38 SHADY LANE OFFERED. WE MADE THE MOST OF OUR ONE DAY THERE. EIGHT YEARS LATER WE WERE BACK AND EVERYTHING WAS JUST AS GLORIOUS AND DYNAMIC AS BEFORE, THE WALLS OF THE HOUSE WERE LIKE BIG WINDOWS OFFERING UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWS. IT WAS LIKE BEING OUTSIDE WHEN YOU WERE INSIDE, A FEAST FOR THE EYES. THIS TIME WE STAYED FOR A WEEK AND HAD A BLAST.ONE THING WE WOULD RECOMMEND IS TAKING THE VERDE CANYON RAILROAD TRAIN RIDE OUT OF CLARKDALE. TO MAKE THIS EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE, GO TO JEROME AFTER THE RIDE AND HAVE DINNER AT THE ASYLUM RESTAURANT. IF WINE TASTING TICKLES YOUR FANCY THER ARE MANY GOOD CHOICES, BUT PAGE SPRINGS WINERY IN CORNVILLE IS A MUST. LASTLY ENJOY THE RED ROCKS, JUST RIDING AROUND IS GREAT FUN AND YOU GET TO EXERCISE YOUR IMAGINATION. IF THERE ARE CHILDREN OR YOU ARE A KID AT HEART CHECK OUT 'SNOOPY ROCK'. MANY THANKS TO THE MORAN FAMILY FOR ALLOWING US TO ENJOY THEIR BEAUTIFUL HOME. THIS IS A MEMORY WE WILL TREASURE ALWAYS.

It was a pleasant surprise to arrive at 3:00 a.m. (our time) to such a beautiful house. We enjoyed many a hike on the trails just next door, coffee on the balcony overlooking the creek, and fires in the fireplace. The panoramic views were ideal for viewing the evening lightning storms. All in all, a lovely week in Sedona and at Shady Lane. Thanks Lisa.

We stayed two weeks and didn't want to leave!! The two bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs are eight feet above the water and the sound of the creek put us to sleep every night. Way better than camping! Ranger Frank gave us maps of the local hikes and was full of area information. The location was perfect to either go up to Flagstaff or down to Sedona. We went to the Snow Bowl and rode the ski lift to the top. We went to Munds Park for golf. Wine tasting, dinner and movies in Sedona. It was a very relaxing vacation. Thank you Lisa, for sharing your house with us!

Almost literally ON the creek, an excellent location. Private and much better than staying in a hotel. Awesome water pressure for a nice shower and a relaxing fire every night; you can't beat it. As nice, if not nicer than the photos. The Juniper Cafe down the road was very handy for breakfast on the deck every morning. Friendly staff. Amazing trails in the area; each one different from the other. Lisa was most accomodating via email and phone. No cell service; but really, who needs it? Was able to use the cell in town; but I guess the Ranger next door knows of a "magic triangle" for cell service. I didn't read that in the guest book until the last night. I cannot wait to visit Sedona again!

Awesome experience all the way around! The home is beautiful set in the most gorgeous lush cool green forest, waterfalls, with glorious sounds of birds and flowing water. The location is away from the crowds, so very private and secluded, but has easy access to every thing that is beautiful about Arizonia. Sedona is like no place in the world...loved it. Thank you Lisa!!

My family and I wanted to visit the Sedona area for a spiritual rejuvenation after Hurricane Ike ravaged our lives in September 2008, and a few short months later in March 2009, we lost our brother, son and brother-in-law, Dale. The moment we stepped into the home on 38 Shady Lane, we felt the peace and serenity of the home on the creek. The energy of the health of the flora and fauna that surrounded us and the sweet breath of the air helped us to connect to the spirit of God. We had a fire in the fireplace each night in the late days of May, which was highly unusual, but most desirable. The home was spacious, clean and well-equipped. We will return.

We stayed in the home from March 22 - 29, 2008. It is a beautiful and comfortable home in a very beautiful setting. We have two teenagers, a 15 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. All of us enjoyed the hiking and sight-seeing. It was wonderful to wake up and hike out our front door. While on vacation we saw The Grand Canyon, went kayaking and mountain biking and did a lot of hiking. We also played miniature golf and went to the Sedona Library (free internet). On our last night we had a great homecooked dinner at the nearby Junipine resort. We were sorry that we hadn't discovered it sooner. All of us had a great time at the house and in Sedona. We hope to return in the future. Thank you, Linda

Thanks to Lisa for making this Christmas/New Year vacation one to remember. The home is located near all the places in SEDONA and Oak Creek Canyon that we wanted to visit and hike. We are looking forward to renting again this Summer. The Junipine Cafe is near and a good choice for breakfest. Regards, John Martin

The house is just as lovely as the pictures! It is new and roomy and spotless. We loved the location - about 10 degrees cooler in the canyon by the creek than in town - a real plus in the summertime. We loved sleeping with the windows open to hear the sound of the water. We hope to stay there again - my family was delighted with this place. Shirleyindallas

A very nice, well-appointed home in a wonderfully scenic location! The guys went trout fishing everyday and the girls waded and rock-hopped in the creek. We explored forest service roads around Sedona and Flagstaff and saw lots of elk around Flagstaff one evening. It was great just to hang out around the house, too, listening to the rushing water of the creek. Two thumbs up from us...er, make that four!

We stayed here for a week. We were here to attend our daughter's graduation from Verde Valley school. Staying in the wonderful house made a special occasion even more special. We hate to leave, but our home in Florida awaits. We will come back ASAP.

What a wonderful week this has been! Your home is beautiful in a beautiful setting! We have enjoyed the inside and the outside equally. My husband has fished everyday except for our day trip to the Grand Canyon. We have enjoyed lush green woods, rushing creek (how it lulls you to sleep!) and wonderful Red Rocks of Sedona. Our days have been divided between sightseeing and simply enjoying the great scenery right outside our front door.On our vacations we have normally stayed in a hotels, but decided this trip renting a house so we could really relax and have some down time. Staying in your home has definiely "spoiled" us. I don't think we could go back to hotels after having such a wonderful exerience like this. THANK YOU!
