Many surprises when we arrived. Henry and Maruzya are so friendly and nice. They supply more than you need for your stay. We had a great time on the big island and will definitely come back to this little home again some day. If you are seeking for a palce to stay at big island, this condo can be one of the best choices!

It is the second time that we come to Henry's apartment. After a day at the beaches, it is really agreeable, come to this cozy apartment with amazing views and just have a wonderful dinner cooked in a full equipped kitchen. And one important thing, have a two nice couches to hang out for a while. I highly recommend this place.

Henry's place is the spot! Up on a hill overlooking Kailua; just far enough from the action, but close to everything. The unit is really spacious, and included everything you could possibly need. We especially appreciated that you can lie in the king sized bed, rollover and see the ocean! You get a nice view from on the hill out to the water. Also took in the view at sunset from the hot tub! :) Henry was super friendly, but certainly not intrusive at all. Easy parking and access to everything! We loved the map of the island on the coffee table, and found ourselves staring at it a lot :) Thanks for everything, we hope to be back! -- Kelley & Nathan

The Mango House was a wonderful and lovely experience for us especially since this was our first time on the Big Island. The rooms were very clean, the landlord was terrific in greeting us and making sure we were comfortable not only on the first day but throughout our stay. We had every amenity that we needed, including a small packet of Hawaiian coffee to enjoy while we were getting settled in. We also were close to everything that we wanted to do as well as close to the grocery store, restaurants, etc. We would recommend this home to any one of our friends looking for an affordable, quiet, and great place to stay on the Big Island. We will definitely stay at this home again! The Richey's

Our second time on the island and this was the perfect location. The owners were helpful and we exchanged guacamole. Loved the BBQ and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a long hike. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended. Book it if you can!

This wonderful place is tucked away in one of the best neighborhoods in Kona, with outstanding views, gorgeous surroundings, and wonderful people. The rooms are nicely decorated, immaculate, and equipped to the nines with everything you'll need. This has to be one of the best values in Kona!

This is a very nice location in a very nice, quiet, residential neighborhood. There is a nice view of the sunsets from your patio. Sunsets can also be enjoyed from the hot tub. The location is a few miles away from all of the tourist areas- so if you are looking for a quiet out of the way place that is easy to get to, this is it. The photos and descriptions of the condo are very accurate. The apartment is also one of the cleanest and nicest condos I've ever rented. The apartment is beatifully furnished with new furniture and a very nice TV with many premium channels. Wi-fi internet is also very fast and reliable. The rooms are large and easy to move around in. There is plenty of storage space for your personal items and clothing. The kitchen is equiped with a small stove and oven which is adequate for most basic cooking. There is an assigned parking spot which is right in front of the entry door. Access to the main highway is a short distance away and very easy to get to without any traffic jams to wait for. Overall- this is one of the best values for the price I have rented in many years of traveling here. I have already booked a second stay on my next trip. I would heartily reccomend this location for anyone wanting a quiet and clean location that is away from the tourist areas.

My wife and I spent 6 nights here for our honeymoon in July. This is a 1 bed/1 bath unit on the bottom floor of the owner's house. It is a very nice, clean, and well-maintained apartment. There is plenty of privacy and the owner is very quiet. We saved lots of cash by cooking many of our meals in the fully-stocked kitchen. The house is in a quiet, up-scale neighborhood just south of downtown Kona. It is located on the side of a hill at about 600 ft elevation, which is great because it cools down in the evening. Each section of the apartment has a large ceiling fan providing more than adequate cooling when it gets hot. There is a great sunset view from the front patio. The owner is very nice, helpful, and allowed us to help ourselves the small garden he keeps. We found this to be a far preferable choice to staying near the loud hustle and bustle of Alii Drive downtown. Kona is a great spot to make your headquarters for exploring the entire island, and for the price you can't beat this place. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Big Island.

We loved staying at The Mango House. It's a very comfortable nice apartment/house, located in a great upscale area in Kona, with great views of the ocean, king size bed, a well furnished kitchen and a jacuzzi!!! The owner keeps the place spotless, and has all the gear for snorkeling or the beach (cooler, towels etc). He and his wife were very cordial and gave us mangoes and tomatoes from their own garden almost every day. The mangoes were out of this world! We are definitely recommending the Mango House to our friends. Price is great, it's close to all the beaches and stores and it has its own vegetable garden. What else do you need?... oh yes, a jacuzzi!!!

THIS IS BASCIALLY ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT UNDER A HOME OCCUPIED BY 2 ADULTS IN A QUIET UPPER SCALE AREA. IT WAS ADVERTIESED MORE AS A COTTAGE, WHICH IT IS NOT. THE HOME IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE OWNER IS VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY, THOUGH WE DID RECIEVE FREQUENT CALLS SUCH AS "CAN I PUT YOUR LAUNDRY IN THE DRYER" 10 MINUTES AFTER DIRED WHICH FOR SOME IS VERY NICE AND FOR SOME A LITTLE INVASIVE. THE OWNERS ARE VERY QUIET AND EXPECT THE SAME, WHICH IS NICE. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND FOR NOISE SENSTIVE PEOPLE OR FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO TAKE AFTERNOON NAPS AS THE OWNER IS BUSY WITH HIS LIFE. HOWEVER, THE PLACE IS METICILOUSLY STOCKED AND VERY NICELY DECORAGED. RATES ARE VERY REASONABLE. NO AC, BUT COOL ENOUGH FOR THOSE WHO LIKE HOT CLIMATES. HOME FAR ENOUGH FROM THE BEACH TO BE QUIET BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE THERE IN 10 MINUTES. NOT MUCH OF A YARD AS OWVER HAS 2 GAURD DOGS, WHICH ARE VERY QUIET. HOWEVER THE GREENERY IS NICE OUTSIDE AND THERE IS A SMALL GARDEN OWNER SAID WE COULD HELP OURSELVES TO. CLOSE TO GREAT SNORKELING BEACH AND OWEVER PROVIDES BEACH AMENTITIES.

This 1 bedroom was a perfect location for me since I am doing work on my home here in kona. The unit has all the amenities a traveler would need including a flashlight and snorket gear- Lots of brochures, etc. I liked the large 42 inch vizeo hd tv too with premium movie channels and sports-The best value in kona in my opinion- This place could be easily priced at $100 a night but it is much less...

My wife and I stayed here for five nights in early March and found it very convenient. Close enough to Kona that it's a quick drive for dinner (or groceries), but far enough away that it's quiet and high enough that it cools off beautifully in the evening. The place was clean, spacious, comfortable and overall perfect for us. Henry also had several extra things available for us like a cooler, beach towels, tupperware, and snorkel gear that we really appreciated.

Stayed at the Mango house for a few nights in my visit to Kona. Perfect elevation for beautiful sunsets every night. Close to town but with cool nights. Everything I wanted was here, including a jacuzzi. I would recommend this. Henry is very accommodating.

Although my stay was short, it was nice to get away from home and visit Kona with all it's charm. Henry's place is well appointed and has been recently remodled. It was very clean upon arrival and Henry was always available when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend his place to my friends.
