WELCOME TO FAULKNER'S LANDING
This lakefront home sits atop a beautiful bluff in Horse Creek Cove, with soaring trees and a million-dollar view. Enjoy the privacy this 1.3-acre home gives you while enjoying easy access to your private dock (with boat lift), three sea doo slips as well as a swim dock. This home has a 150 feet of lake front with views from almost every room.
This pristine cove on Grand Lake is large enough and deep enough for all your boating activities (sea dooing, boating, skiing, tubing) yet secluded enough that it feels like your own private oasis. The water is average 20 feet deep off dock so fishing is great. A full-service marina is within a 5 minute boat ride where you can rent boats as well.
The home has an open concept for the kitchen, living and dining so the cooks don't feel left out. The living room is large and able to accommodate many people with two sofas, two club chairs and ottoman and 47 inch LCD flat screen television with bose surround sound.
All three bedrooms have pillow top queen beds and one of the sofas pulls out to a queen as well. All bedrooms have 32 in LCD flat screen televisions with blue ray dvd players. We also have two twin air matresses (good for children only). Maximum 12 people.
The front of the home is tree lined with a park like setting. The back of the house faces the lake. There is a deck that is over 80 feet long. Half the deck is covered and the other half is perfect for sunning. It has a table and chairs that sits 6, a fire pit that sits 8 and two lounge chairs that all have amazing lake front views. Off to the side of the deck is a picnic table for extra dining seating.
Conveniently located 50 minutes from Tulsa and 45 minutes from Joplin. It is a 15 minutes to Grove which has many restaurants, antique shops, boating stores, super walmart as well as many activities and festivals during the year.
Please take time to review our map as we have mapped out for you many activities, restaurants and marinas to visit during your stay.

We had a GREAT time!!! The house was clean and well equipped. We brought towels, food and 11 people. Everything went smooth and all enjoyed the boat dock and water. The BarBQ saturday night went off without a hitch and the weather was super. What a great balcony to eat, sleep and watch the lake. The fire pit would have been excellent too if it hadn't rained about that time. Well thanks again for such a memorable weekend. We would do it again, in a second.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The views were awesome and loved sitting on the deck at night around the fire pit. We were looking for a halfway place to spend a long weekend with our kids. Faulkner's Landing was a great find and it fit our group of seven perfectly. We especially enjoyed the porch overlooking the lake where we were able to cook out, soak up the sun in the afternoon and sit around the fire pit at night. The 80 step staircase to the lake is worth a mention. Going up from the dock is a workout and became an actual timed competition for the athletes in our family! (The length and angle of the staircase may be an issue for elderly visitors or families with small children.)The place is clean, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully stocked with necessities as well as entertainment: movies, games, outdoor equipment. The owner is great to work with and as you can tell by the website, she goes out of her way to make the experience a positive one.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our time at Faulkner Landing-We loved the large deck, plenty of seating, and the fire pit. Although it was really cold this weekend, we fished on the large dock and had a nice mess of Crappie for dinner one night. The beds sleep great and there was enough room in the front yard for the kids to play ball and ride their scooters. Can't wait to return in the summer to soak up the sun!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

This is a very nice and well kept property. The beds are very comfortable and the decoration of the property is comfortable and home-like. The kitchen is very well stocked. The most outstanding feature, and it is truly wonderful, is the deck. The furniture on the deck is enough for large gatherings and the fire pit is an attraction. It is a lovely lot and setting. The home owner is very helpful and will help with all the details of your visit.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

My husband took me to stay at this wonderful home for Valentine's Day and I can't say enough good things about it. The moment you come in the doors you are taken away by the breath taking views. The home is decorated so adorably and is very comfortable and relaxing. We were surprised by all the little extras they provided and how well the kitchen was stocked. The home was very clean and inviting and the property manager was very welcoming. It was a wonderful peaceful stay and we definitely will be back. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

This home was great! It was clean, furnished very nicely, well stocked, and well kept...inside and out. Our group consisted of 3 adult couples and the floor plan worked nicely. The pictures and YouTube video were very helpful and represent the home's current condition and amenities. The climb back up from the dock will give you a good workout but you are generously rewarded at the top with an incredible view of the large cove from the bluff. When we weren't out on the water, we spent most of the time sitting on the deck, enjoying the view. The sunrises over the 'glass' cove were fantastic! There were lots of hummingbirds too... :-) The location is perfect because the cove is large enough that it seems like your own private lake. We ventured out through the main body of the lake to explore some of the other coves and were pleasantly surprised that one of the best was right in our back yard. We were able to swim, ski, tube, and even cruised around on our standup paddleboards all over the cove with no problem. I'm sure the fishing would have been great too but we ran out of time for that...LOL. One notable item missing from the owner's very helpful map is that just down the street from the Buffalo Ranch travel plaza is a Dollar General with a surprisingly large grocery section...very handy! Thanks so much for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home! We hope to be able to stay here again next season.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

three family 6 adults 2 teen 4 todlers enjoyed this house, plenty of space, very clean, had a good time cooking and visiting out on the deck, awsome view.dont miss the sunrise. everything u needed we never went to town just used boats.and shop at marinas very close by, boat dock is nice and big park 3 boats there , private cove so very calm at night. steps were steep but fun like stair master in the woods. only complaint driveway is a little tight and steep i barely got my 28' boat in and then out, my suggestion is if you have a big boat unload it first thing at the dock kim talks about first thing then dock your boat at the dock and park your trailer about 150' down on the west side of the road there is a little notch no one will see it, then you can start enjoying your weekendRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

About the owner: We want your stay to be as comfortable and easy as possible. We don't want you to have to spend hours of research trying to figure out where to go eat, shop, rent boats or any other activities you wish to do. So we have done it for you. We mapped and described 26 (the most this site will allow) including addresses, hours of operation and phone numbers. There are actually 32 places (we doubled up on several icons if places were close together) so make sure you read the remarks or you might miss out on other places. Everything listed is 15 miles or less with the exception of 7 which are all less than 20 miles. With the vast majority of them being less than 10 miles. There are activities listed alot people don't even know about. Please take time to review our map. Although these are far from the only things to do at Grand Lake, they are some of our favorites.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Lake of the Cherokees:
This home is located on the shores of beautiful Grand Lake O'the Cherokees, situated in the foothills of the Ozarks. This area is blessed with natural beauty. As soon as I walk in the front door all my stresses are forgotten and a feeling of peace takes hold of me.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Location, Location, Location. This home sits 5 miles from Interstate 44, 3 miles from Historic Route Highway 66, 4 miles from Highway 59 and 4 miles from highway 85 keeping your driving times at a minimum. This unique location sits right in the middle of every thing to do and every where to go. As you can see from the detailed map below. If you are looking for breath taking views, ours has the best bar none. The home sits on an acreage with beautiful tall pine trees and gives you a lot of privacy and tranquility. It is one of the few coves left on the lake that still feels private, pristine and yet is large enough and deep enough to do all your boating activities.
